Switzerland, without contract
Bought at Microspot.ch Friday and got it today. They told me only 18 pieces were available. It is the only provider that got it to Switzerland as I know. I was lucky enough to get mine. Now, here, others have to wait a few other weeks
I am looking at buying a evo 3D from a US seller on ebay, he states it is unlocked and will work in the uk.
Anyone know anything about this!
It will not use a simcard, if thats what you're asking sir
It's a cdma phone, not gsm
Not necessarily!
USA uses both GSM and CDMA.
Most phones there are CDMA, though. So you will need to ask him whether the phone uses GSM or CDMA.
GSM will work in Europe, CDMA will not.
Sprint phones are CDMA. The EVO 3D is CDMA in USA.
If his description has Sprint, The picture of the Evo has Sprint or the red rimmed camera, the seller is lying. Only the gold rimmed Evo 3D can work here & the UK/Europe in general (Rogers Canada is as local as you'll get, otherwise the seller imported it.)

I am in the u.s. and everyone here is correct. The EVO 3d that was released here is a cdma version. I to am looking for a gsm version but I want one for ATT bands.

The Rogers version has AT&T bands. As an aside, what UK network would a 850, 1900, 2100 HSPDA phone (i.e. the Rogers Evo 3d) work on? I have searched a lot and can't find a straight answer...
All of them but let someone correct me if im wrong
I have always bought unlocked HTC phones in London, new one every year, and never had any luck with 3G data in the US or Canada while it works with Orange, T-Mobile, and Vodaphone in the UK. So I figure something has to be different. Well, those were all two band 1700 and 2100 and were flat out missing the US bands, I am hoping in the UK would only need 2100?
would a GSM version of the phone bought from the US work in the uk? such as the one on this webpage?
http://negrielectronics.com/htc-evo-3d-gsm-unlocked.html
i.e. is the phone exactly the same as the GSM version that will be released in the UK? just wondering because it would be much cheaper if i could buy it from the US
That doesn't look right, the GSM version has a gold ring, not red, might be scamming

I'm pretty sure they don't make a US version in GSM flavor. So, technically, no...

This is just a generic pic. I have called negri electronics and they said they are getting gsm EVO 3ds but not 100% sure if it will be the Rogers version or not. But he also said it is a very high possibility that they will get the Rogers one that supports all ATT bands. Not sure if they were just blowing smoke. But he was very nice and understanding.

Negri is legit. Just hold tight or sign on with Sprint. They will be getting them in soon.
I am in the same boat but I am starting to think that Sprint might be a better option with insurance and better warranty support than buying it unlocked.

Hi,
Can Evo 3D purchased in Asia work with Fido Canada's 3G?
if not, can ROMs be flashed to change baseband frequency?
Thanks in advance.
Does flashing new modems improve signal?

Not always, but you can give a try to flash several modems and look which is the best for you.

Flashing the right modem improves signal.
So if you are not having good signals, then flash another modem
And keep in mind that it could take up to 3-4 battery cycles to notice a difference

You can try different modem and see what is best suited to your needs

Why is that? Does it gathers some data about connection or something? Just after flashing a modem one should not expect big difference in reception?
do anyone knows which region have the LTE version?

I have SM-C105L which is made for LGU+ carrier in Korea. It has a carrier lock for SK and KT telecom company in Korea. But it does not have country lock, so you can use it out of Korea. I want to use this phone on Korean local carrier SK (3G not LTE) but because of carrier lock, I cannot use it in Korea. If you have interest, I would like to change the phones if we can find a way to secure way to exchange phones.
If you want, please contact me by [email protected].
Thanks a lot...
I have SM-C105.
Works on LTE in POLAND and it is fast!
