I know how to reset the data and software of the phone, but what I need to do is reset all of my EPST settings. I've tried doing things manually by hand to no avail. Is there a way to do this? A true Hard reset?
My signal blows now and I can't for the "Noob" of me figure out what I might have messed with to cause this degraded signal for 4G and 3G or if the signal in my area has gone bad, but I would feel better if I felt my phone was back to a closer Stock state. Any help or advice (non-sarcastic of course) would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
boot into the boot loader and you can wipe it form there

Hi Guy's I figure there must be someone here that can help me with this phone? I have a problem my phone seems to run Good for several day's then begins to lock up so I do a soft reset and that seems to completely screw things up to the point where the processor is running at 50% and never seems to recover? I end up having to hard reset all the time? I don't have a lot on the phone just a few Applications. This is my forth phone in the last year and the folks at Big Red simply will not help! I am running a stock ROM because this is a company phone and I was told that it you flash it voids the warranty? Anyone have any ideas to what can be causing these crashes???
Thanks

It could be that the page-pool of the stock rom is set incorrectly, which eventually causes the device to slow down. My adivce... flash to something else, and then simply relock the device if you have to return it for whatever reason. No one will be able to tell that the damn thing was unlocked at any point in time.
I remember see'ing a thread about an issue with the Droid Eris that causes your screen to keep moving left when charging. I also have that problem! Also, whenever I am not charging, My phone does not track the ball when i move to the left, other directions seem fine. Is there something wrong internally with the phone? Or is it some bug that can be fixed? I have tried Restarting the phone, and battery pulling. Please help me!
Btw, Im on the Stock 1.5 firmware / Flashed to MobiPCS(Hawaii)
if you're running stock take it into verizon, they will most likely swap it out. If it's rooted, revert and do the same. If it's leaked I'm not sure, theres another thread about this (dont remember the title) but no fix really. Someone suggested a factory reset and cache wipe but not sure if it helped. Like I said though, taking it into verizon and recreating the error in store will definitely help your chances.
I would take it in, though it is Flashed to Work on a Local Carrier. It might cause some problems. I also hesitated on doing the Factory reset because of the Flash. Wondering if it will affect my service.
take it in to your local phone carrier, who your using for service and see what they say for warranty repair.
its the trackball and charge your battery while the phone is off. I have the post in general. I had the same problem. If you can't replace it, fix it. I did."Open phone clean trackball and area with rubbing alcohol."
Hi guys...I followed the guide for rooting and long story short before I rooted I had 4g with 5 bars....but now (I believe after the one click root) I must have did something wrong...because now i'm on 3g or 1x with showing no bars or one bar. Unless I am having some extreme bad luck with verizon's network....but I don't think so...I've never not had 3 or more bars at least, ever.
I am on Chingy's Ineffablilis, but I know its not the rom. I have for the last 2 hours been searching to find an answer but no luck, I never had this issue before, and been rooting since the OG Droid.
Some searches points me maybe its the baseband?
All I would like to do is put every back to stock....and start over...but can't even get a clear answer on how to do that on the rezound
It's been suggested to uninstall superuser....and do the factory reset.....but when I clicked on factory reset in bootloader...it just booted me into clockwork recovery.
Could really use some help here..
Thanks if you can.
Update: Wow.....just wow.....didn't know the antennas WERE IN the battery door....you can all just shoot me now. I'll leave this open for others that may come across this issue.
Lol, glad you found the issue.
I'm Sure We All Will Do That At Least Once.
About to attempt a Factory Reset, any advice to prevent brick? I backed up my phone and it has the latest firmware, it updated to 1314 last night. I would rather not have to do this but I am having an issue where my WiFi doesn't want to re-connect when I get home without a reboot and other small Bluetooth issues. I really need to see if the WiFi issue fixes itself after a factory reset because if it doesn't I will get AT&T or Nokia to replace it. It is fully charged and on the wall plug waiting to start. Any advice would be appreciated.

In my experience you've just got to do it, there's not much that can be done to prepare for it. My 920 has never had any issues with a factory reset, many others haven't either. I do have a theory though that American 920's (ATT) are more prone to bricking (mine is Australian) but I've not got much to back it up, just a theory.
Just go for it. Worst case scenario you'll need a replacement, but it should be fine. Good luck!
Well i did it and I got the Gears of Death. I used the recovery guide on WP Central to restore it.

I had that issue before and need Nokia to flash for me
Edit: just realized I posted in the wrong area. Feel free to move it. Sorry about that.
Everything was fine until my phone died last night. Upon restart, Hotspot would turn on, but no other devices showed it as available to connect to. Like it wasn't even on. Did a little research and tried the many suggestion about soft reset, pulling battery while running, holding power for 30 seconds while battery removed, etc....all to no avail. My hotspot still won't actually show up in a WiFi list. So I started looking for a stock Verizon Hotspot apk with no luck. I don't have any backups done, either. It's been rooted with Kingroot. Tried to flash a different recovery on it and almost bricked it a few times. It actually got stuck in a boot loop at one point but I got it working in a few minutes. This was 3 months ago when I rooted it.
So has anyone seen this before? Is there a fix? Am I looking at a factory reset? It's not hard. I know lol. It's just doing everything to get prepared to reset and then the anxiety over wondering if you missed any backups or if there were any files that were forgotten lol. Hoping it's an easy fix. Been using Bluetooth tether for now but I'm not sure how much longer I can do that. 1 hour? Maybe 2? lol. thanks!
New issue. Cant do a factory reset. I get a big yellow caution triangle saying use software repair to fix. I assume it's got something to do with the recovery I tried to flash. If I could get that sorted out I could wipe the phone. I did set everything else back to stock with no help. So how do I fix the recovery system? Flash stock recovery back on it?
Edit: I tried to search for this info yesterday and couldn't find it. Ironically, I came across it today while looking at something else. I just need to flash a stock OF1 and start over. Or that's what the info said that I found. Hoping it cures my Hotspot issue. I can't believe it just stopped working because my phone died.
1 more question. Can I extract the recovery.img from a stock OF1 build and just use flashify to flash it instead of converting back to tar for Odin?
Just to give this an ending and In case anyone else has this issue, it's solved. I had Verizon suspend and reconnect my hotspot service and it cleared out whatever was keeping me from broadcasting a signal or however it works. I'm my opinion, the system thought I was still connected when my phone died. Resetting my hotspot reset the system. That's about the best explanation I could come up with as I know zero about this stuff.
Anyway. It's fixed. Terminating Hotspot service and reinstating cleared whatever issue was causing the problem. Hopefully this can help someone else in the future. I only figured it out after a bunch of testing and logical reasoning.
