Ok, so i know they found a fix using Kies for the galaxy tab to play nice with OS X. Unfortunately it seems this isn't working for me on the Galaxy Tab LTE. I'll tell you more about each device.
Macbook
10.6.6. OS
Verizon LTE Galaxy Tab 10.1
16GB Gunmetal running stock everything, unrooted
The device won't be recognized on the macbook. When i plug it in, it says MTP-Initializing and MTP-Connected but Kies will not recognize it, i've used both versions of the OS X software they have listed there, neither work for me. Doubletwist will recognize it, but it can't mount it's storage so doubletwist is equally as useless. This is really bugging me, i want to put movies onto it and 14 minute FTP uploads do not appeal to me, sorry. If someone could help me i'd definitely appreciate it.
bump ten char
I have the same issue got all the updates etc, but still can not see my LTE tab on my mac.

Hey all,
I just got my galaxy tab 10.1 in korea (model no SHW-M380s). I am so far super happy with the way it runs.. not to many crashes, and pretty good perfornance overall. However, the only thing that peeves me is the fact that my tab has no kies for mac support, and under the windows 7 explorer has extremely slow file transfer speeds. any way to fix either? (kies for windows maybe?)
anyone else have these issues?
Having given the wife my faithful rooted galaxy s2 I now have shiny new Galaxy 3. Thing is when I plug it into my MacBook it does not recognise it....although it did for the galaxy 2. And it was easy to drag films straight into the external storage and play. The new phone is recognised by Keis and I can load music and photos, however it does not recognise the film files . Any ideas what format I should be using so Keis will recognise it.........
Thanks

Someone can correct me if I am wrong here, it has been a while since I used my GS2. But if memory serves me, the GS2 utilized USB mass storage so when you connected to your mac it was mounted as a drive. Starting with the Galaxy Nexus and the GS3 now it uses MTP. Try downloading Android File Transfer for Mac, it should give you a better way to transfer your files. I don't have my GS3 so I can't test but that is how it works with the GNex.
Hello there!
I'm trying to make my S3 interact with my Pioneer Avic-F700BT. It's an older HU (2009), and does not support BT streaming. It appears unable to read the S3 via USB due to lack of UMS on the S3. It worked flawlessly on my iPhone 4, but that doesn't matter at this point.
Right now, I'm investigating the use of the Infuse 4G mount + line out into the deck, but I'm looking to see if anyone is aware of any alternatives. I have not rooted the phone yet out of fear and inexperience.
Ideally, I'd like to be able to control the phone from the HU, but it's not a must. Another alternative is to just go and buy an ipod touch and leave it in my car, but it's a much more expensive option.
Truthfully, I have the i747 (Canada), but I couldn't find a different subforum for it, so I hope that I'll be accepted and loved here.
Thanks!
One of my favorite features of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra (and I'm sure it's not restricted to this particular model) is to connect to my work shop PC wirelessly via Dex and be able to transfer files, check/reply to texts, and a few other things. I've come across many videos and articles showing how to connect as mirror or as second monitor or whatever, but I cannot find anything that explains how to connect the Galaxy Tab S7 to PC in the same sense as with Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. I hope my question makes sense.
Basically: Is it possible to connect the Galaxy Tab S7 to the PC wirelessly through Dex the same way you can with with the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra? Not as mirror or second monitor. If anyone has any thoughts on this, Id deeply appreciate your time and feedback.
To my knowledge DeX doesn't work like it does on the Note phones. It won't start DeX on your PC like your phone does.
Fair enough. Thank you for your feedback. I wonder why they'd design it this way.
A Tab S7 or S7+ using DeX via a PC would be redundant. The Tab S7/S7+ with a keyboard cover is essentially a laptop in its own right.
I’ve just purchased a used Tab S7+ ; it’s been many years since I last tried an Android Tablet so thought I’d give it another go.
Anyway, anyone using the Tab S7+ and Signal Messenger? I know I can sideload the Signal APK but from my understanding, there’s no way to “link” Signal running on the Tab to my phone # on my Android phone? I do this on my Mac and iPad Pro, and I think it’s the one thing that will drive me a bit nuts on the Tab S7+…
I specifically bought a 5G version so I know I can link a separate phone # to the Tab as a workaround but that will result in two chats for the person messaging me (I guess I could create a group with both my devices with each person, meh).
Any further thoughts?
