Hey all,
I just got my galaxy tab 10.1 in korea (model no SHW-M380s). I am so far super happy with the way it runs.. not to many crashes, and pretty good perfornance overall. However, the only thing that peeves me is the fact that my tab has no kies for mac support, and under the windows 7 explorer has extremely slow file transfer speeds. any way to fix either? (kies for windows maybe?)
anyone else have these issues?

Ok, so i know they found a fix using Kies for the galaxy tab to play nice with OS X. Unfortunately it seems this isn't working for me on the Galaxy Tab LTE. I'll tell you more about each device.
Macbook
10.6.6. OS
Verizon LTE Galaxy Tab 10.1
16GB Gunmetal running stock everything, unrooted
The device won't be recognized on the macbook. When i plug it in, it says MTP-Initializing and MTP-Connected but Kies will not recognize it, i've used both versions of the OS X software they have listed there, neither work for me. Doubletwist will recognize it, but it can't mount it's storage so doubletwist is equally as useless. This is really bugging me, i want to put movies onto it and 14 minute FTP uploads do not appeal to me, sorry. If someone could help me i'd definitely appreciate it.

I have the same issue got all the updates etc, but still can not see my LTE tab on my mac.
hi all.
I'm considering buying one of the "new" Samsung Galaxy S Wifi media players - most likely either the 4.0 or the 3.6 - to replace a Microsoft Zune HD. However before I do, I want to know if anyone else already has one and if any one does what do they think?
I have a more questions - sorry if I appear demanding - but I'll wait until I hopefully get a reply to this post.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks for all the great info guys.
I have a question that I can't seem to find an answer.
I had my Galaxy Tab stolen along with my Macbook Air and need to replace.
This time I would like to get a fully spec'd Mac Mini and get the latest and greatest Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 or 12.1.
Anyone know how to get Samsung tablet to be used as a monitor for Mac Mini? I want to work off Tablet while connected to Mac Mini for
my video and audio work and then use the tablet later for web and other android stuff.
I would prefer a wired connection since Mac Mini has all kinds of ports that are fast.
Anyone know of a work around for this kind of setup?
I need to have both because of the heavy work I do in video and audio on Mac and the the heavy
research I do online with tablet. The pen would be a great help in both systems. I've seen on youtube that
tablets touch screen can be used on Macbooks.
Any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan
Ever get any guidance?
Hey Dan --
I'm considering something similar for similar reasons (video/audio editing & writing/research) .... did you ever get any advice for this set up or give it a try? Curious how it worked out ... any and all appreciated.

Hi all,
I'm a noob (longtime lurker), I just wanted to ask the following question: I've been a longtime Windows Phone user and I'm thinking about making the jump to Android.
I was thinking of using the device as an all in one productivity device, with a dock connecting the phone to a monitor, such as this one:
EDIT: Can't post links due to Noobishness, so its the "Aerb® 3in1 Smart Multimedia HDMI Dock Station Desktop Charger Charging Data Transfer & Sync OTG for Samsung Galaxy S4 Galaxy Note 2 Galaxy Note 3"
Now, while the hardware looks great, the implementation seems... clunky at times, but the old WebTop mode from the old Motorola Atrix line seems well suited to something like this.
SO, my question:
Has anyone pulled the WebTop mode from the Atrix lineup and make it available to all Android devices? I saw a story saying that they had gotten it to work over all HDMI connections, so all it would need is some optimizations to work on Android 4.4.2+ devices.
Best,
Sheik
I’ve just purchased a used Tab S7+ ; it’s been many years since I last tried an Android Tablet so thought I’d give it another go.
Anyway, anyone using the Tab S7+ and Signal Messenger? I know I can sideload the Signal APK but from my understanding, there’s no way to “link” Signal running on the Tab to my phone # on my Android phone? I do this on my Mac and iPad Pro, and I think it’s the one thing that will drive me a bit nuts on the Tab S7+…
I specifically bought a 5G version so I know I can link a separate phone # to the Tab as a workaround but that will result in two chats for the person messaging me (I guess I could create a group with both my devices with each person, meh).
Any further thoughts?
