What advantage is there to deleting the stuff as opposed to simply freezing it?

There's No Advantage Really Besides It Sits On The System Taking Up Space In The Background.

UnNamed: Facebook + calendar integration linked through social hub?

I'm running unnamed, wish I had enough posts to post in that thread directly.
The recent update removed social hub, and that seemed to remove my facebook account from my calendar. I can't add a new facebook account when I go into calendar sync. I only see options for adding Google, Yahoo, and Exchange accounts.
When I go into the general Accounts & Sync options in Settings, I see my facebook account, with an option to sync contacts (no calendar).
Tried uninstalling/reinstalling facebook, clearing calendar data, clearing calendar sync data. Any other ideas?
Install the social app back on your phone.

I'd rather not... it was taken out for a reason by gtg, and actually I was never sure what that app did. I definitely didn't use it, except for the fact that I had to in order to sync my calendar. So if I could skip the middleman I'd prefer to.
Is the social hub app necessary to sync facebook with the stock calendar app?
Isn't it specifically for social hub? Probably won't work without adding it back?
Install it back from titanium. I do it for email premium account

I was hoping they weren't so tightly integrated on the gsii
Didn't have social hub on my captivate and could sync my calendars with no issue.
I don't understand what the issue is? When does Facebook sync with the Calendar app? (I didn't know it did this?)
The calendar app can put your facebook events on the calendar, as long as the facebook account is added in the calendar's settings. So I could have my google calendar events and facebook events all in the calendar.
It seems the sgsii's calendar relied on the social hub app to do this, since I can't seem to add facebook after social hub was removed.

Just flash the Social Hub addon if you want it.
Flash the social hub, and then freeze everything not related to FB.
If SNS is causing major battery drain I can't find it. I have great deep sleep times, and I've never seen a wakelock related to it.
Here is what I have frozen and not frozen, and FB intergration into calendar and contacts is working for me.
SNS 1.5 - Unfrozen
SNS disclaimer - Frozen
SNS AccountFB - Unfrozen
SNS AccountLi - Frozen
SNS AccountTw - Frozen
SNS ImageCache - Unfrozen (This allows your phone to update your contact photos from Fb)
Social Hub 2.00.00001 - Frozen
Social Hub 7.52.10101 - Frozen

Thanks for the help, everyone.
I know I can just add social hub back, I was just wondering if there was another way since I have no other use for the app itself.
Anyway, awesome rom GTG
Does anybody have the social addon saved anywhere? I didn't download it while I had the chance, now I'd like to flash it. Unfortunately, restoring from Titanium doesn't work.

[Q] Facebook App not sync'ing profile pictures with contacts?

Hi, I'm having a bit of trouble at the moment getting my Facebook contacts profile pictures to show up when sync'ing my contacts with the Facebook for Android app. It sync's the accounts okay because I can still view a contact and it will have a link to their Facebook profile, however it's no longer sync'ing the pictures anymore.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Facebook app and then sync'ing contacts again but it still doesn't work. Does anyone have any idea why that might be? Cheers.
i did had this issue.... i removed the facebook account from social hub & the facebbok app itself..
Settings -> accounts and sync -> then clicking on the account and removing them.
Then first added facebook to social hub...synced it...then pictures were back...then i had to again log on to facebook app...and synced again (this is just to attach the contacts) so that the app can be lauched from contacts itself.

I don't have Social Hub, I froze it in Titanium Backup and it seems to have disappeared. Think I'm going to have to reset the phone.
Just try to delete and readd your Facebook.sync account. And then sync again. That worked for me. I never use the hubs

Cheers for the replies guys. I found out what the problem was, the ROM I had installed had the Facebook sync removed from it. Did a full wipe only to realize this afterwards, all sorted now though.

[Q] Droid Razr Maxx Apps Dissappearing / Missing

I have a mostly stock Droid Razr Maxx with the latest .181 Update and I have noticed that various apps / games just simply disappear after a while. (I have Titanium Backup running on a nightly basis, so I can restore just about anything that goes missing, but it is a pain in the butt and is a big reliability issue for me.)
I am not using the SD card for apps. They are all in main memory.
Some are from the Google Play Market and others are from the Amazon Market.
Any thoughts on why 50+ apps are lost / uninstalled / missing on their own?
The apps I have frozen right now are:
Apps
Backup Assistant Plus
Backup Assistant+
Backup Assistant+ Contacts
Backup Assistant+ Media
Email
Email Accounts
Email Authenticator
Email Engine
Flickr Authenticator
GOTA
IM
IM Presence
LastFM Authenticator
LinkedIn Authenticator
Mobile Hotspot
MOG
MOTOPRINT
MusicStore
Photobucket Authenticator
Print to Retail
Social Location
Social Messaging
Social Messaging Service
Social Networking
Social Sharing
Social Status
Universal Inbox
Universal Inbox (yes, listed twice, two different icons)
V CAST Tones
Verizon Video
Voice Commands
Voice Search
VZ Navigator
Yahoo Calendar Service
Yahoo Contacts
Yahoo! Mail Authenticator
I had one called "Upgrader" or "Updater" (don't remember which) frozen. I just unfroze it, so I am hoping the problem goes away, but I'd like any information or help anyone is willing to give.
I can pull the logcat if anyone wants to look at it.

Single Message Center Aggregation WIDGET

I'm looking for a widget (probably with an underlying app) that aggregates messages (SMS), mail (exchange/IMAP), gmail (android client, not IMAP via mail app) and facebook messages. Motorola has something along this line in their droid devices, and Samsung had the discontinued social hub. Anyone know any good 3rd party options?
Try pure messenger widget...

[Q] Facebook Messenger without Facebook Account in the US?

My friend is a pain in the ass and refuses to sign up for a Facebook account (fully locked down with no personal info and unsearchable) so we can all be on the same messaging platform. The rest of my friends prefer Facebook Messenger as we all have accounts already but we have been using GroupMe and recently Google Hangouts but now I am fed up. I read an article saying that Facebook started rolling out the ability to use Messenger without a Facebook account. Does anyone know if this feature is available in the US yet? I thought it was with the new app version however my friend just downloaded the Facebook Messenger app from Google Play but it seems to want him to sign up for a Facebook account. If this isn't avail on the US app, does anyone have a way I can get him on a version of the app that allows this ability?
No one has any info about this??
