I really love the DSP Manager app on Trigger Redux, is there any alternative for 2.2 based roms?
The battery life is too terrible on CM7, even with a 3000mah battery

Has anyone tried it with the gingerbread player instead of the sense player?
anyone tried getting this to work for bamf or tried to get an apk or zip
It's in synergy and it works

It also works in both CM7 and OMFGB.
It seems to work in all AOSP ROMs, but I've never seen it in any Sense ROM. I don't know why. However... if you're running BAMF 2.1 or higher, you can use Equalizer instead. Sometimes I like it better than DSP Manager, sometimes I don't. Depends on what I'm listening to.
If you're running AOSP, like CM7, you can use either DSP Manager OR Equalizer. Kinda nice using them interchangeably to get different results in the same ROM.
DSPManager is awesome on CM7! I can hear my phone from downstairs haha.
What settings do u use on dsp? Like put all up to top or something else?

For phone speaker I have them set to 4.0 all the way across. Plenty loud!
Does CM7 have an app/task killer? Which kernel gets better battery life? If Glitch is used which leakage works the best? Will it mess up audio?

Not sure about the task killer, but open there says high leakage is best for most devices.

Unfortunately, there is no task killer that comes with CM7. IMO, we don't need it for this ROM. A day without restarting and it is still running smoothly/snappy for me.
If you would like some performance increase on your phone. You might try enabling 'Allow purging of assets' on CM7 settings > performance. Or you could always find a task manager on the market.
Good Luck.
I'm DSL manager but my music still sounds like crap compared to when I used srs enhancement on htc sense. I'm just wondering what other people use on MIUI because I can't take how crappy my music sounds anymore but I want to stay on MIUI.

I hear lots of people like Volume+ from the market. I always liked PowerAmp. It was my fave music player for the longest time.
I'm not sure if dsp manager will work on miui or not but that will allow you to set some eq. Also equalizer (that's the app name) works well too.

have you tried my miui kernel?
it has beats support - but miui dont care about that - it wont use it
it also has new sound drivers w/ higher quality settings... miui "may" be able to use that
worth a try....

Right now I'm running your experimental aosp kernel. Is that the one you're talking about or did you mean infected anthrax?

you tried varying the dsp settings ?? as extreme settings would give you that kind of result and at end can damage speakers also
I also have this problem. It's getting really annoying, especially when it is quiet.
I am running Cyanogenmod 7.1 Grif07 RC1 and flashed the fixes.
Going to install a different ROM if I can't find a solution. Will post here if I find anything.
Solved my problem with DSP Manager.
Been scouring the forums...
I changed my CPU Governor to Smartass and changed my min frequency to 245. Glad I did that, DSP Manager is not making the crackle anymore and my phone seems so much faster.
Should eat more battery life, but meh...

What does the processor have to do with the DSP manager making that crackling noise?

I noticed this problem when I set my minimum CPU speed to 125. Once I set it to 245 it worked perfectly.

Use Tasker. See my signature link.
You may use DX battery booster App available in the market.
It reminds you when the battery is fully charged.
