Hi,
I have a unrooted t-mobile samsung vibrant I got the other day. I keep getting this annoying pin after about 5 min of by phone waking up asking for a pin.
This happened when I setup my exchange corporate email.
Is there a app or a tool to turn this off?
It is a security policy on the exchange server. You can turn off the policy on the server side.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Ok. Will ask the admin thanks
There is an app/widget called no lock for you to bypass the lock screen, it even kills the swipe to unlock. I find this easier than asking the admin.

I use the following app....

And it works perfectly with our coop email, it call touchdown - search on market for it (or from their website), try out the lite version to ensure it's working, before you invest in the full app.
Hope it helps for you.
Hello All,
Im not sure if there is a better place to put this but I am using a Galaxy Tab SM-T320 and I am trying to do the following:
1-Have the device Stay on 24/7 and turn back on if power outage - nomoarpowah was working for older vers of android, but seems like they don't sell it any longer and it is off the playstore. I need an alternative options.
2-Have an app turn on automatically and disable screen off at launch - using Launchafterboot
3-open a Remote session server - Using VMlite VNC server
4-Lock all of the settings, iuncluding the dropdowns and anything that could get you back to the home screen.
The way i have it setup it turns on, launches the app i need as well as the app that disables screen off, and opens the VNC server at the same time.
Thats well and good but I need to be able for the device to also be locked to where you cannot get out of that program after it initially launches. I see a lot of parental lock programs but once they run, they stop all my other services from opening at launch in the background, even if those apps are "safe" and unlocked"
any help here would be appreciated.

Samsung play bad with remote function...it's called a bug ( dafuq ).
2 possibilities:
factory reset
wait for fix
Could not add google account > did factory reset > can not get through initial setup
Hi guys,
All was well except when I tried to add a google account this happened
screen 1
Just a sec...
screen 2
Add your account
google
sing in to get the most out of your device. i
Enter your email [I enter my email and have tried others for testing]
screen 3
Error sorry there seems to be a problem. Please try again.
For troubleshooting I tried
Disabled 2FA on google account
Removed account from other device
rest app settings
sign in via multiple apps, contacts, playstore, youtube, add accounts et cetera
Enabled Backup my data and automatic restore
Connected via VPN
Update system software
Nothing worked so I did a factory reset. Now the part of the initial setup that is supposed to add a google account gets stuck on
"Couldn't sign in
Can’t establish a reliable connection to the server"
But I really mean stuck, there are no buttons on the screen, no possibility to slide down the task bar or go to home screen because this is happening as part of the initial setup steps. Volume and power buttons work so I can turn it off and turn it on again after which it enters the initial setup and the same thing happenes again as there is no option to skip this step or skip set up as a whole.
There are quite a few google results for
"Couldn't sign in
Can’t establish a reliable connection to the server"
But they all involve interacting with options and settings which I can not do. How can I boot the phone without it launching the initial setup process?
Phone is E2363, the 16G dual sim version. Thanks if you can help
Did you restore via PC Companion?

Good idea! That allowed me to get past the initial set up and into the system. Now every time I try to add my google account I get
"Couldn't sign in
Can’t establish a reliable connection to the server"
So far I have
Tride through different apps
Confirmed the clock is correct
Disabled 2FA on google account
Enabled Backup my data and automatic restore
Reset app preferences
Any other suggestions? The other option google finds is to root the phone and modify the host file as per http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kRmW2hO-4tk
I would rather not but if that is the only fix the question is how to root this device?
I would create another gmail account. And check internet connection (wi-fi or 4G).

Try tapping all four corners of your screen, in a clockwise motion (start top left and move to the right) make sure you hit the corner of your screen. it should skip setup, then go to app in settings and clear the data of all your google apps (playstore and google services ect) should work afterwards.

I am past set up and into the system (is it possible to edit thread title?) (the way to skip the add google account in setup was to not have any internet connection) but in the system the problem happens when trying to add a google account.
I have deleted all app data or cleared cache (whichever was available) for all apps starting with the word google including those you mentioned. No change to the problem every time I try to add my google account I get
screen 1
Checking info...
screen2
Couldn't sign in
Can’t establish a reliable connection to the server
This was fixed when I tried with a different internet connection/ISP. Its not that I was not online before but that my ISP has dumb protocols that were stopping this from working. Thanks for your responses.
Hello Bitedge,
And now google play store and other google services do connect via your own internet connection too?
I'm facing the same problem you described, just out of the box my xperia m4 aqua will connect to google on every connection except my home wifi.
After configuring an Exchange ActiveSync account on a Samsung Galaxy S8, S9 or S9+ device unlocking the device using the face recognition is not possible anymore. The icon indicating that face recognition is activated is not shown anymore or greyed out.
This issue is caused by the Exchange mobile device policy requiring a passcode being defined on the mobile device.
I hope this is not a cracking question. The phone is mine and I would like to use that feature. Any useful suggested are appreciated.
