Hello,
Is there anyway i can use the ameo as a PS3 keyboard?
Also is there anything else i can do with Ameo/PS3?
Thanks
pk4 might have something to do with ps3.. but im not sure if that was people taking the piss, or if pawel actually said it... but no you cant use it as a keyboard i dont think, but maybe someone might be able to tell me otherwise.
Rory
PK4; what is that and what does it do?
pk4 is the rom were all waiting for, basically most forums have roms made by loads and loads of people. But due to the nature of the athena, the highest end device, people donated a large sum of money to get 2 athenas for developers. this was called the athena project. Basically, olipro made the unlocker for the athena, and pawel and midget were cooking roms for it. since then, there have been 3 roms released, and they are very high quality. so now, we are waiting for the fourth project rom, nicknamed and shortened to PK4. It has been rumored that the rom will include some kind of ps3 functionality, but what functionalty eans i dont know. have a read of the thread called "athena project 4 coming soon but needs..." from about page 45 for more info.
hope this helps
Rory

PS3 is like PK3 only not as good because Pawel062 doesn't have anything to do with it. He's too busy cooking PK4.
I've got the PS3 Logitech Cordless Mediaboard Pro, nice black keyboard with mousepad integrated... maybe it could support it so I don't have to reach for my phone whilst playing Gran Turismo 5 prologue (which by the way is so m***********g sweet!)
Alright... never mind. So stupid I never tried! It works already with Ap 3.0! Very nice to have 1 input device for my notebook, PC, PS3 (on linux) and Ameo!
Why would anyone want to bother getting the Athena to talk to that piece of tat!
Now getting the Wiimote working would be highly amusing.
Can you imagine a journey on public transport? Wonder how long it would take before someone phoned the police...
lol. one thing we know.... this is a launch none of us will ever forget.
in theory it would be possible, as the PS3 already supports a bespoke Remote Desktop client, (it is used to allow you to control your PS3 with your PSP) if you could get the ameo to identify itself as a PSP on the wifi network and then wrote the client s/ware (copied from a PSP) to get the commands down, then yes the ameo would work as a keyboard, or even a touch mouse !
Can someone PLEASE port the blackberry brick breaker game from either the curve or storm for Android? I have tried EVERY brick breaker game on the market and nothing compares to the blackberry one. This would be MUCH appreciated!

this would be fantastic.....im surprised it hasnt been done by now, which also maqkes me afraid that it may not be possible
I know, I get a little worried when I think about it, but after all of the excellent apps the dev teams come up with, this shouldn't be all that tough!
Agreed, that would be amazing
Yes it would, any help please guys!
Agreed. The 2 things I still miss about BB. BBM and Brickbreaker. Though, I didn't play it much after they went to the pearl. The scroll wheel was so much easier

Thanks for posting that. Finally a riptide GP player that doesn't hit the wall on the first turn! haha.
It's definitely in a class of it's own, amazing machine.
Booo! I had hoped that you could pair the ps3 controller up to the tablet using bluetooth. Do you HAVE to use the cable?

The description says:
"Bluetooth does work via the "sixaxis tool" on Android Market (requires root). It is however limited and doesn't work with Riptide GP nor Shadowgun (gamepad not detected). It does work with a few emulators after some tweaking, but it's far from as quick and easy as with a USB connection. "
ICS will have native support for controllers so its only a matter of time.
That is so cool. but does it not work via bluetooth?
really enjoyed this, as i know nothing about nothing. I wasn't sure if i could run good emulators on this thing... now i know.
I need to clean my pants now... I am so glad I've got a ps3 now

Maybe try reading at least ONE post above yours.... -.-
kinda bummed BT doesn't work natively, but hopefully it will in ICS...
why do we have to make new treads as fast something comes up? This prime forum is just filled with ****. People need to take a breath before starting new threads just for fun or want to be seen. The quality is really low,
I posted this link yesterday in the review thread that it would make sense to be. Every new thing doesn't need to have a thread.
This is just amazing. To be able to plug this in, and use it so easy, wow... Emulators, here I come!
Now to make it easier with bluetooth...
Wonder if it works on my xbox360 controller?

It'll worK. Listed as a supported controller along with wii remote and several third party controllers.
I'm wondering if it will work natively (i.e., as though it were plugged in) with the Xbox 360 Wireless Dongle?

With the wireless dongle in the. Dock, it would. All I remember them saying and me seeing is them using the controller with it and it's supported. Now Remember, some games don't support the bt controller option and will have to be used with controller plugged in. I think there's work around for that if game doesn't support it. some app in marketplace can't remember name of.
Its not a matter if Prime supports controller cuz it supports them all. It's a matter of if the game itself supports wireless gamepad or gamepad support. As far as I know, it's ShadowGun n riptide that doesn't support the wireless unless workaround used. I may be wrong on that, hopefully someone else chime in with more insight into that.
Any idea if third part Xbox360 controllers will work? I have a wired Afterglow controller that's picking up dust that I'd love to use over a BT wireless controller (to save on batteries). Just the fact that Google decided to support these controllers natively in ICS is so great. I love what Google has been doing over the past couple years! And people say iOS is user FRIENDLY. Pfft!

I like having different threads for different things. Seriously, look at all the posts this thread spawned. If someone doesn't have a wireless controller, nor care anything about wireless controller connectivity, why should they have to sort through all these posts in a generalized review thread? This way, they can easily ignore all this and focus on the things that are of interest.
Frankly I'm getting a bit annoyed every time someone posts something like "why does this have its own thread?" It's not like it costs XDA money for every new thread or something If you don't like that there are a bunch of different threads, don't read them! But don't ***** because people like organization or think things should be organized differently than you think they should.
Thought y'all might like this. Anyone interested how to message me. Will be glad to show you how.

looks cool man!
Nice
Very nice, but the controlls are a bit laborious.
Yeah not to bad once you get adjusted to them. I got a Bluetooth controller to pair with the app beelink. So not to bad with it.
Would you show me how to do it?
Here's the link with the files and how I got it going.
