Can someone PLEASE port the blackberry brick breaker game from either the curve or storm for Android? I have tried EVERY brick breaker game on the market and nothing compares to the blackberry one. This would be MUCH appreciated!

this would be fantastic.....im surprised it hasnt been done by now, which also maqkes me afraid that it may not be possible
I know, I get a little worried when I think about it, but after all of the excellent apps the dev teams come up with, this shouldn't be all that tough!
Agreed, that would be amazing
Yes it would, any help please guys!
Agreed. The 2 things I still miss about BB. BBM and Brickbreaker. Though, I didn't play it much after they went to the pearl. The scroll wheel was so much easier

Has anyone thought about porting the new iphone os to the leo?
is it at all possible?
just a thought?
No and no.
You can install an Android build that looks similar enough if you'd like. Look for MIUI builds in the Android section.
Would you really want to? iOS is getting a bit like Symbian,Outdated,Anyway apple put so much stuff into there firmware to stop people hacking into it,it near impossible so no
Why?......
I'd only want it for the games, but android is growing.
It would be good to have another games/apps platform but I would feel dirty allowing iOS on my device. And I dont think I could ever forgive myself for abusing my beloved HD2 like that.
PS. @OP dude at least use search before posting, or even look at the "similar threads" that pops up when writing your title, This has been discussed before on many occasions, if you want to discuss it further reply in those topics.
I'd rather take it over my face.
No no no.
HTC HD2 has been created to kill iPhone and I just can't imagine it running iOS. I Don't mind seeing Symbian or whatever else (Windows 95) but not iOS!
HD2 is an amazing device worth every penny I paid for it and I would never ever want to hurt it with iOS
When people at college say to me 'Why did you not just get an iPhone?' I get the feeling to punch them
+1
I think running IOS on HD2 is a regress

Its the apps and games. seems like the winmo apps are weak and boring. I mean there are a few cool ones but not even close to as many. Don't get me wrong, I love my phone its the best hardware $$ can buy right! I have just been getting bored with the apps I have and the ones available.
thanks for all the feedback.

So I'm going to bailing on my evo 4g and Sprint in a few weeks and I was wanting to know why the pros and cons are of the sgs2. I see it. I want it badly but I was the same with my evo and I rushed into buying it now I know I should have done more research for it. Any help people ???????
Adam
To be honest, you can't go wrong with buying a GS II.
Its still a beast about hardware and remain it for a while.
I was always looking for the perfect smartphone and learned the hard way that it doesn't exist. Even the GS II isn't perfect, but it comes close how a smartphone should be.
At this moment i don't see any phone that could replace my GS II.
Good luck with you choice.
I'm looking at the one that T-Mobile will have next month and my main concern is battery life. On my evo I have to sacrifice battery life for connectivity.

Have you checked the Engadget and other review sites?
I have but I don't really trust some of those places because they don't seem to really put the phone through its paces. That and what better of a place to ask for help than a place where almost every sgs2 user comes than here ?

I have this constant urge or craving for new gadgets, games and consoles. Don't see me as a day-in-day-out gamer or anything. I have a girl I need to get out for haha.
I wanted the SGS2, it was awesome. But now I am already craving for something else. It annoyes me, I think I'm just spoiling myself..

lol I'm right where you were when you first got it - I love changing gadgets. But my timeline is more like 6 months, which is usually when I'm done hacking, modding and having fun with whatever little device I can get my hands on.
But this phone.. is outstanding. It is ridiculously fast and handles everything I can throw at it so damn smoothly. I had a small list of things that my iPhone 4 couldn't do without lagging, and this handles them without a hitch. It's a serious amount of speed that has spoiled me for devices to come.
My only complain so far is its battery life (or the energy efficiency of its SAMOLED+ screen?).
You may want to read the review by AnandTech it's by far the most detailed review. Google "anandtech samsung galaxy s2 review".

Ok , a co worker is selling a 32G almost new touchpad. I really want to buy this since i missed out on the firesale and he is offering at the same price as he bought it for and also CM devs are working on it and judging by the videos i saw, i see a lot of potential.
Now since you guys are already on it and some of you have installed CM7 on it, i want to know if its a good investment as I intend to use it only with android. I know its still in alpha and developing stage, but is the hardware really worth the investment ?
Or should I hold on for a few more months and then buy something better ?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

and then send it to me.

I've got the alpha loaded on mine, haven't messed with it to much but the major things are working no problem. My opinion, buy it! Great investment. Maybe its the CM7 team being humble or my ignorance but this build looks like it is closer to beta than alpha, my opinion
Edit: As far as the hardware, everything on it is great, except the camera. Its kinda crappy in either OS. The speakers are loud and clear. I had the processor('s) overclocked to 1.5ghz normally but up to 1.7 and it was stable, that was in webOS only, haven't got that far in Android. The one thing I like about the touchpad over other tablets, and it may seem gimicky, but the Touchstone built in inductive charging. I'm not to familiar with other official Android tablets, but the lack of expandable memory on the touchpad kinda stinks, but theres enough cloud services and what not to cover that. The list goes on, overall, theres a lot more positives than negatives on this device. No regrets!
Thanks guys. Really appreciate the honest answers. I actually got my hands on it today and im pretty impressed.
I think i'll buy it and 150 is a steal like you guys pointed out. Cant wait to get on the development forums and start messing around with the CM7.
Thanks guys!
Definitely get it. I bought one during the firesale and had doubts about webOS. Now I love it. I also have a Asus Transformer but I have only used it 2 or 3 times since I got the TP. I basically gave the transformer to my wife. Now I love WebOS. It is definitely more user friendly than honeycomb. I wish there were more apps, but there is still an app for pretty much everything. I hate to see how kill what palm worked so hard for, but that's the only way I would have ever experienced it, because I damn sure wasn't going to pay $600 for a tp.
Definitely get it and just give webOS a try. If you like Android I think you will be impressed with webOS. It has a look and feel like Android with a skin rather than a full separate OS. If someone could make Android apps run on the Touchpad I wouldn't be able to find a single bad thing to say about a TP at all.
Also please don't think I am any sort of palm/hp/webOS fanboy trying to troll. I am truly and Android fan and will always be, webOS has just grabbed more of my attention in the tablet space, for now. That could all change after ICS is released.
Good luck, and definitely get it. Worse case u don't like it and could still sell it for a small profit.
lol when i went to Android i kept trying to swipe up to change apps.
LOL
Hey guys! hope ur all doing well
so i am looking for a nice tablet and i feel for the hp touchpad. The problem is: Its not sold in my country so i have to buy it from Ebay. I am now wondering is 260$ worth buying the HP Touchpad? It will be 300$ including shipping, thats the cheapst i could find on Ebay. I was looking for the motorola Xoom but its very expensive..with shipping it could be 450-500$ for the Xoom. So help me out plz, should i buy it?! never owned a tablet before, and from looking at the reviews, WebOS looks awesome, so smooth and then u'll always have the chooice to put android (i think with ICS it will become even better when the source code is released) what is your thoughts? hit me!

I agree. I like Webos.. Its pretty.. Easy to use.. I like the multitasking concept.. Though I just added perfect task switcher in Android which sorta gives you the same thing though not as good. Android is clunky compared to it.. Because its made for for small screens.. But I still love it and haven't booted webos since cm7 lol...

Same here! Still getting used to the onscreen "soft keys" as well
At the fire sale price or close to it, it's a no brainer. Not even worth asking...
Worse comes to worse if you absolutely hate WebOS, you can always sell it and at very least get you money back.

i went to best buy today to exchange for white note.it took me two hours just to exchange because old people buying iphones.they really dont even need a iphone.they need old flip phones.three people front of me bought iphone 4 or 4s.i couldnt tell the diffrenece.it took atleast 45 min to teach them how to use it.
i use to wonder why apple leads in iphone sales.now i know its because of dumb people just want to own a iphone.just to be hippie again.i was so angry waiting for 2 hours just to exchange and watching stupid people using iphone.
Are you serious? People buy iPhones because they are simple and do what people need them to do. Old people buy iPhones because they are simple. Other people buy iPhones because they are SIMPLE.
Apple leads in smartphone sales BECAUSE THE IPHONE IS SIMPLE TO USE. I love my Galaxy Note but I'm not about to try and say that it's easier to use for a NORMAL PERSON.
And if you ask me, you're not too bright either from the looks of your spelling and grammar.
prob. smarter then u.i dont have time to write **** here.lots of other stuff to do instead playing ps3 or something
I can't figure out how you made it up to 82 post without either being banned or at least warned.
As much as I hate Apple and their products I gotta agree. Simplicity is the key ingredient to Apple's success. A counterpoint to this is the fact the simplicity is what you make of it. I promise 5 years from now Android will become the new 'simple' and iProducts will become the new flip-phone.
Think of computers 10 years ago. Out of every 10 people, theres was one that would get called up to hook up a printer or set up a keyboard. That same ratio is now 1 out of 2, because people are educated in the matter.
Oh, and less flame, more actual content.

ah....
When people used to ask me android or iphone i used to say android, obviously. but i got tired of explaining why its better and you know what, for a guy whos not tech savy at all, an iphone will be much eisier to use. i think it would be much better for them to learn how to use android becasue it can do so much more but hey... i dont make any money of more android sales.
i did get my father to make the switch from ios to android, (i sold his 3gs on craigslist for $350, which paid for galaxy s2, accessories, batteries etc. but thats only because i want the best for my father. if others want to be stuck, locked into that riged ios.... be my guest.
sorry for rambling... but in short, yeah ios is so much simpler, you cant say oh i dont like this so ill change it. thats the beauty of it. Severely dumbed down. but thats what alot of people want...
Hi all!
Been happy with my Android workphone for two and a half years now. But my ol' Desire is getting a bit tired and out of date. So I will get a new device soon.
But new corporate policy is that we only run iPhones as workphones. So my next will probably be an iPhone 5.
I know it´s a mighty fine handset I'll be getting but this ol' dog is a kind of a droidy dog. I´m clearly beeing thrown a bit outside my comfort zone here.
So I´ll gladly take any advice on how to handle the green abstinence, tips 'n tricks about managin' stuff in iOS and maybe the odd "hang in there".
Try to jailbreak it for one, sure it won't be exactly like android but it will be close enough and there are some pretty cool stuff you can do when you jailbreak your iphone. My friend was able to have an up and down scroll-able screen for his apps (kinda like the app drawer for gingerbread), as well as adding actual widgets.
Quit your job und change to a company which uses androids
Get the goophone i5 =P
Get a Goophone i5. But seriously why are they forcing the iPhone on you. I would try to convince them that it will slow your productivity since its slower to write emails/texts on because it doesn't have swype. I guess companies use iOS because its easier for new users and iOS never changes.

I deal with it by having an android tablet. My company iPhone is good to make calls, text, email, and web browse. Past that it is largely useless. I save $100/ month by not having the phone bill. It sucks but it is worth it.

For the people who likes to custom and improves better features in the devices, Iphone is not a good idea, but sometimes we need to accept... And maybe by a Galaxy S3 and enjoy both :good:

Objectivly speaking now, i think iphone might be morw than suited for work related stuff.
It will run the required apps, it will run them smoothly, and generally bug free (less bugs than a full on modified rom for android most likely) . What would you really be using it for? Work email, work calls, work texts.
You can always have a personal android phone for leisure, tinkering and gratifying personalization. The iphone will do what it can, and do it good. The android will do what you want.
Ever had a sex change? yeah thats pretty much the contrast here
Leave the job. The company is doomed anyway.
Get an android anyway. A policy like that sounds like you work at the apple store.
Put a case on it, and once in a while ask it questions to act like you have siri.
You can pull the wool over a sheep's eyes.
They can't tell you have an android because it functions like iphones, maps, web, txt, and call.
Also, are you paying for it or they are?
If you're paying get android.
