Hi,
I'm a new user and a new Android owner. I used to be an IPhone user so all this freedom is amazing.
With all freedom though does come, confusion though and wondered if some body would be able to help me.
I’m having problems with folders I’ve created on the home screen. At least every couple of days the folders just stop working. Not all folders, just one or two normally the same ones. When I say not working if I click on it nothing happens. To solve the problem I have to turn the phone back on and back off again.
Has anyone experienced this before? Or know of a solution?
I’m also using Launcher Pro I don’t know if this is connected or not?
Thanks in advance
Has no one had this problem then? It can't just be me.

I'm still very new to android but I wanted to know if anyone is experiencing this same problem. whenever i swipe left/right at home to back/forth between diff. desktops, the contacts and call button do not go away. It's particularly annoying... Has anyone else had to experience this? is it a general android problem? Is there a fix for it?
I have attached a screenshot. Look at the bottom how they are overlapping.
Are you sure they're not part of your wall paper?

looks to me as tho you've installed launcher pro, and havent set it as the default home launcher, what u can do is download an app such as Home Switcher, and choose launcher pro as the default launcher for the phone, this should get rid of the default Blue launcher which is what you are seeing in the background
i installed launcher pro before and then restored the phone to factory settings because it happened a few days ago... so after that, i decided to stay away from launcher pro because i figured it might have had some bugs since the Atrix is brand new, blah blah blah.. Well, without touching launcher pro, it just happened again earlier today... I didn't install anything either. I might have unplugged the phone or something but other than that i have not installed any new apps today... I cannot remove it through the apps and it's not a part of the background... What can I do to fix this? There has to be some easier way than reseting to factory everytime? anyone else have any ideas? am i the only one experiencing this so far?
I still get the same problem... I find that when I go into the running application 'Home' and click clear data, the problem is solved. My icons and all my desktops are also cleared... Is there some sort of config file I could edit instead of losing my icons everytime this bug occurs? I also don't have launcher pro or any other launcher app installed atm.
i'd do another factory restore if not take it back to ATT if u bought it from them.
were you rooted before, and did you install the custom rom?
Both times it happened, I was rooted. I never installed the custom rom. I'm still trying to look into what's going on and see if I can find a config file that I can edit to change it.
Same problem with my new ATRIX
Hey everyone, I just bought the Atrix last week and had problems with it freezing right out of the box. The next day I noticed that the direction arrows that pop up when switching screens would pop up and overlap my call and contact buttons instead of them dissapearing just like he said. So I went and got it replaced yesterday and all last night and all today my phone was working flawlessly and I was very impressed and thought I must of had a dud until just now my phone froze while playing a game. GRRR not this again So I was forced to take out the battery to restart it and then I scrolled over to the next screen and the stupid arrows were overlapping the call and contact button again I think this must be a common problem. Two phones in a row this has happened. This is kind of pissing me off. Surely more than just the two of us must have this problem? And no I haven't done any of the things you guys said could have caused the problem. The first time it happened I hadn't downloaded anything other than facebook or ebuddy.
I was super excited for the atrix but now am wondering if I should have got something else.
So it turns out that it may have been a program called mixzing music player thatwas causing the problem. After having some problems with the app I removed it and reset my phone and the problem has resolved itself. If anyone with the same problem has mixzing on their phone I strongly recommend using something like winamp instead. My phone works great now and Bell finally released an update today aswell
Hi. I just noticed that SuperUser is not being detected by Apps After My Droid 3 Updated today. It's behaving just like an unrooted phone. This very annoying as I become VERY used to having a rooted phone. (I feel as if I need my phone rooted for things like Screen Shots, Titanium Backup and so on.)
And I would just like to know if anyone else is experiencing this problem and if anyone knows how to fix it. Thanks.

(It also appears I messed up on Entering my UserName. I don't know if an Admin could fix that or something. So Whoop-de-doo.)
Hello all, I'm new here in XDA. A friend of mine recently got a fighting mini N9300 and we've got some troubles with it. When the phone receives a call it automatically restarts itself. When it does, it doesn't recognise the SD card (and of course, any of the apps in it, including the Launcher I installed) so I have to manually deactivate and reactivate it in the settings menu.
I was wondering if there might be a solution for this, maybe a hard reset or a rom change. I've already seen the root guide here in XDA so I'm am going to give it a shot one of these days, so we can get rid of unnecesary apps and maybe assign more memory to the phone (if possible).
Any advice on how to make the phone run smooth and with no problems, it will be thanked. My friend just wants a phone that can make it through the day with a charge of battery, and will only install Whatsapp, Twitter and similar apps, not very demanding.
Greetings from Argentina and sorry if i had a spelling mistake.

Hi everyone, Im a bit desperate right now, since Ive searched all the internet (or I tried) and all of xda, but couldnt find a solution to my problem. Also Im unsure what causes it (ROM, device, some app,...?), which is why Im posting in the general section. So on to my problem:
I have a Oneplus 6, with the most current official LOS release. Sometimes when I unlock my phone, some random app will start. I said semi-random, because its mostly Instagram or Authy, probably depending on which of the two I had opened most recently (actually sometimes both will open; I see Authy for a split-second and then instagram will appear and stay), but never (as far as I remember) other apps, even if I had antoher one open before it happens.
Now, I recently discovered that I can reproduce the behavior if I go to developer settings and change the display cutout setting to something different. It will reliably happen. So the screen goes black for a second, (probably re-drawing the UI) come back and Instagram will open. This led me to the idea that the UI crashes in a way. When it happens after unlocking the device, its always black for a second as well, while usually the screen is just there.
I only found evidence of the problem online regarding Samsung phones, mostly using Nova. Im using Nova as well, so that may be the cause. But I dont know for sure.
Does anyone know this problem? Why is it always one of those two apps, that appear? Can a log help me find the issue?
Things I already tried: factory resetting and setting up Nova from the ground.
Help very much appreciated
EDIT: I dug through the log file a bit and found something interesting (as far as I can say, Im far from an expert). I attached the relevant part, may be someone can tell me what happens?

You said factory restore not reflash buddy use the appporiate wording you have a expensive phone you want to modify it and when issues happen you come here if you stood on stock with no modifications or custom rom you wouldn't have this issue I would suggest simply using an alternative launcher

look, if you do not want to help me, thats perfectly fine, then please just dont post. I reflashed the ROM when factory resetting and flashed OOS in between.
If I wanted advice on which ROM or launcher to use, I would have asked for it.

Try reporting it as a bug
Hi! I just want to know what is the meaning of the unknown apps appearing under my wifi usage. Like number 10478, 10469, 10414,10480 etc... Is it normal? It consumes wifi data! By the way im using Samsung A50. Os: Android 10
I am having the same apps under my usage. I tried to search for these so-called apps on my phone and nothing came up. My ex is a psycho stalker and I think he is spying on me but I do not know how. He is tech smart enough to figure out how to do it without using one of the actual spy apps, plus his best friend works in IT and is a wizard when it comes to that stuff. I know there are tons of just paranoid people out there. But he will call or text me and directly quote something which was said via text or whatever. He wants me to know that he's watching because he's a creep. But of course he won't admit to anything... He has a lying problem anyways so even if he did I would still think it wasn't the whole truth, it would be at best a partial truth. Sometimes, like right now I will be trying to type and it is like someone is messing with the keyboard... Like what I'm typing, keyboard closing repeatedly and so on. So I am reallyyyyyy wondering if this has something to do with him altering my phone in some way. It would be soooo helpful if someone knows anything about this. I'm going to contact Samsung tomorrow. And I have been wanting to do a factory reset too. The problem is I am not sure if that will even fix the problem or if I need to have it reflashed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
@iloveduckies3220
Do get a clean phone, re-flash its Stock ROM.
