Check out this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1149530&highlight=baseband
You need, what's called the new "baseband"! There's a new baseband in official Gingerbread firmware. GingerLOL, which is based on official firmware, needs that baseband!
You need the P500-v20G-baseband.7z
And please read the q/a carefully!

Hi all,
Here are my problem:
My X10a first running a 2.1 stock AT&T rom. Then i decide to flash the generic 2.3 rom (forgot which rom i had flashed ). And my nightmare begin. After flashing successful (at least the x10flashtool say so) i reboot my phone and the phone keep rebooting forever until it run out of battery . Sometime it can process to the home screen but will reboot after 10-20 second. I hear some of my friend said that some guru in this forum has found a way to fix this problem. Is this true, can you show me the method ?

need help
hello
my phone is sgs2 i9100
i have flashed my phone with odin several times, however i have a few questions.
when i flash a new firmware with odin i usually wipe my device and cache partition before, just in case, but even so, after i flash, my previous wallpaper remains, why is that?..could it be that some old data remained?..
the other question is about wiping dalvik cache, i know it is not needed when flashing with odin, but the last time i used that option my device went into bootloop, if i clear dalvik cache without flashing new firmware, is that normal that my device will get into bootloops?, and should i clear dalvik cache every now and then to speed up my device?
and is clearing dalvik cache is dangerous?..
if i am stuck in bootloop is there an easy way out without flashing again?
and one last question,
i prefer odin when flashing a firmware, rather then cwm, where can i find .tar custom firmwares and not .zip wich require to be flashed with cwm.
these question may have been answered before but i couldnt find them, so all help is greatly appreciated.

Hey mate,
clearing Dalvik Cache isn't dangerous because it's a kind of Prefetch folder from
Windows. So it's there to have some data from installed apps, but often hold it
after uninstall etc.... So don't be worry, u can clear it if u want
Hey mate!
Getting out of bootloop without reflash isn't really possible at most time.
U can try to do a factory reset and hope that system can boot then.
Odin flashable Firmware here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
Odin Flashable Rom would be for example:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1334124
A factory reset is not a really full wipe... it's like throwing icons in trash bin,
but to delete really u have to clear the trash bin.
So do the following for Full wipe an go in CWM to:
- wipe factory reset
- wipe cache partition
- Advanced: wipe dalvik & wipe battery stats
- mount and storage: format data, format system & format cache
Hope I didn't forget anything of ur points and could help a bit
CHEERS
You could also try the thread - if you have a bootloop?! !? DOH
I was flashing CM9 from CM7 on my Motorola Defy, botched it up intially due to a slip of my finger which led to me to Clear the cache first. But then I restarted the entire process by Clearing Data -> Installing -> Flashing Kernel and so on...
But when I tried to clear the Dalvik Cache, the phone didn't delete it. It didn't give me a message that it wiped the cache, but it didn't say otherwise either. This led me to believe that the cache just didn't exist anymore.
As a result, I'm unable to install apps - Says there is no memory and I need to make more. Also, everytime the phone comes on is treated as the first time. It takes me through the whole process of Setting up an account and everything. This has rendered my phone obsolete.
Please help me!
Thanks in advance.
~Bloo (newb) ^_^
EDIT: Solved, reflashed the stock SBF. But is this the only solution? :O
Have you tried doing a clean install?
Honestly, any time you get issues like this where the phone gets stuck (either in a boot loop or resetting your settings every boot, etc.) it's best to just wipe/factory reset and re-flash everything.
This is also why it's important to make backups so that if something does go wrong when flashing, you can just restore and be good to go.
If by a clean install you mean starting from wiping data, flashing the ROM on again and going on to clear cache and dalvik cache; Yes I did that. But I'm unable to clear the cache.
I ought to have created a backup, didn't.
So how can I go about fixing this issue?

A clean install seems like the main thing to do (again). If you want, you could try going back to stock.
Installing again didn't do the job. Still can't wipe Dalvik Cache and the Setting still reset on every boot.
The chief problem I have with this is that I'm in India whereas the stock baseband is Europe. So to change it I've to reboot and can't do that because it resets every boot. @[email protected]
Is it a problem with the Kernel?
I'll go back to stock, but it seems a bit complex and I'm afraid I'll brick my phone. :'(
EDIT: Felt it was important to mention that the boot screen still shows CM7.1 and not CM9
I have a similiar problem.
Everytime I choose clear Dalvik men, it looks like he freezes for about a second or two. Then you see the 'menu' no - no - no - no - yes, clear dalvik memory - no - no - no (or something like that) pop up for half a second, and then it is gone. Is this a problem in CWM? Or is it in my phone?
I have a similar problem too! When I hit 'clear dalvik cache', the CWM screen just flashed once and nothing happened, and nothing says 'cleared dalvik cache' or similar...
Me too , how to solve it? Can anyone help? Mine is samsung gio
I have an issue similar to yours with my tablet (samsung galaxy tab 4 10.1 or SM-T430NU) in which it doesn't mount /data and it doesn't let me wipe to factory. Still haven't found how to fix this.

The not wiping anything part is probably your problem. You should always at least wipe cache and dalvik. Data and system can stay intact. Make sure you downloaded the right version aswell. (Cdma/gsm) wipe those and try again. If that doesn't work, perhaps try those fixes youre refering to and if that doesn't work, full wipe.

Which rom are you referring to? cm10 is his latest i believe? Is your photon unlocked & rooted? What Recovery did you flash? (joker has A CWM specially made for his roms) Unless you are upgrading a rom to a newer version of it, or you are using aroma installer, it is always important to wipe your phone prior to flashing. Im a wee bit OCD about it, so i
1) Wipe data/factory reset
2) Wipe Cache Partition
3) Format System
4) Format Data
5) Format Cache
6) Wipe Dalvic Cache
Then begin flashing. For safe measures always flash your rom twice to ensure it has been properly flashed
*edit*
Did you flash from a stock rom? If so, which gingerbread version was it running? and did you ensure to update it before you flashed?
After flashing vanilla root box for the i9300 and the gapps I get this before I anything on the phone. "unfortunately, the process android.process.acore has stopped". comes up. It give me to option to report or ok.what should I do?
hey man,
you should just go to Manage Applications and and clear the data+cache contacts and contact storage.
be sure that you have backup for your contacts or make sure their stored at your gmail.
GL !
after flashing rom and gapss .. you must wipe data/factory reset and then reboot.
Hi man,
It's not true...even at the official thread of the vanilla
CheerS
You only need to wipe when switching Rom or upgrade to another Android version
You should however wipe whenever you get unexplainable problems
You have to clear cache and dalvick after flashing gapps
yes, but before flashing another rom, not after

Nope, check the installation instructions for Vanilla Rootbox, it says to clear cache/dalvick after flashing gapps. The same goes for any other ROM.
i was answering for the who said you need to wipe after flashing ROM not gapps.
and for the gapps enough to wipe only the dalvik and you don't need to factory reset the device. The same goes for any other ROM.

Some ROMs do recommend doing a full wipe before installing the ROM and after flashing gapps. Cyanogenmod recommends it for those who are flashing it for the first time
