[Q] Moved from HTC Sense to Samsung? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey Folks,
I actually own a two years old HTC Hero. I am lovin it, but it is getting old and I have to order a new plan. My first idea was to move to a HTC Sensation, because of HTCs great improvements with HTC Sense and because of the full plastic cover of a Galaxy S2.
But now - I checked some phone reviews and I am not more sure about a Sensation. Sound quality, battery life, display quality....
Is any one moved from a SENSE Phone to a Samsung?
Are u miss Sense or a function?
What's about contacts integration?
Is it similar with a Samsung Phone? Or even better?
Do you ever want Sense back?
Will Samsung provide updates to egg. Sandwich?
What is about the full plastic design - I have my phone in my pants pocket - is there a problem with scratches?
I am very thankfull for any answer...
Greets,
Chr1s

Mhm... I guess I will miss this search hardware button....

Hi
I still have a hero, and then moved to HTC HD 7 and also wanted to move to the sensation, but decided to give samsung a try and I must say I am very happy.
1.. You can update samsung firmwares as soon as they are released by a software called ODIN which is brilliant .. no rooting reqd.
2... If you miss sense you can always use launcherpro plus you can install 'agile lock' from market which is similiar to the sense 3 lockscreen.
3. I for one am happy and would highly recommend it to you.
4. If you check both forums (sensation and SGS2) they both have they pros and cons, so its ultimately your choice
good luck
PS: THanks to ODIN I am already on 2.3.4 when the official is 2.3.3 and not even rooted

I came from the Desire Z and was also considering the Sensation.
No regrets with the S2. The build is fine and I really like how light the phone is.
Can't comment on Sense as I have always run Cyanogenmod7.
As far as flashing goes, it's a whole new game so you will have to read a lot. Imo Htc devices were easier to work with.

I bought my HTC Hero way back in Aug of 2009 and I had it for close to two years when I switched over to the beast phone that is the Samsung Galaxy S2. I was sick and tired of Sense and I wanted something that was closer to the look of vanilla android. I really like Touchwiz 3.0, obviously it isn't as user friendly as the Sense ui, but I love the simple look. I always thought this new Sense ui for the Sensation was overkill.
Seriously, people going crazy over the weather app...full screen weather effects with lifelike sound and visuals...are you kidding me? What a fcking waste of ram. I really want to know if people actually sit there and watch the rain and thunder effects...
Two things I miss, the notification LED on the Hero and the HTC keyboard. Not a fan of the Samsung keyboard.
Concerning the phsycal appearance of the phone, I love the sleek, no nonsense design. The back piece is flimsy but overall the phone does not feel cheap at all. The phone, imo feels like its steep price tag. Its just a sleek, stealthy mofo.
The Galaxy S2 is just an amazing piece of hardware, and its certainly money well spent. No buyers remorse whatsoever. Now lets just get this android 2.3.4 update and we'll be good to go.

I upgraded to a sensation. Just under 2 months later I was onto my third which also had problems, so spoke to voda and they gave me an sgs2. I have no regrets. I have used both and imo the sgs2 is way better. Mite not look or feel better but id rather have a good phone than a good looking phone.

Not particularly, HTC Sense is vastly overated and im at a loss as to understand why some people are so obsessed with it, it can be too laggy at the best of times.

The GS2 has gorilla glass and does not scratch easy, however after spending a small fortune on a phone it makes sense to look after it,i have a screen protector on mine and a protective case, you don't have to get these but your taking a risk, just my opinion anyway.
If you need any more info let me know.

I miss sense a lot, the contacts, friendstream widget, flashlight, dialer, sms, notification pulldown menu, usb connect menu, gallery, keyboard and a lot more they are all a lot better in sense. To be honest now that the htc bootloader is going to be unlocked I feel a bit sorry I didn't get the sensation because the sgs2, even in spite of the superior hardware (in daily use the sgs2 isn't really much faster than the desire anyway) feels like a step back from my desire

Thanks a lot for ur answers.... I will order a Galaxy S2 today....

Yep mee too..
I really liked sense. You get the phone out of the box switch it on and everything is there and neatly integrated.
true you could have the same experience with a Samsung but that will cost you about 30 euro's on widget's / launcher in the market..
And I had to wiped my phone three times this month.. Never had to wipe the desire...
To get the same functionality that sense gave me I really had to root the phone (never even bothered to root the desire).
The screen of the SGSII is great, the hardware is great, but missing Sense is not so great. Also the volume of the Desire when on headset was way better....
But i really do like the smoothness of everything on my sammy.... (overkill of power) it's way smoother than my desiore, but hey, that phone was an uberphone one and a half year ago.....

There _is_ a hardware search button on S II. Just long-press the menu button.

[Q]/[REQ] Sense 3.5 on Galaxy SII

I know it is 90%impossible to port Sense 3.0 for SII, but Sense 3.5 is designed to meet requirements of previous HTC phones, so wouldn't it be easier to port?
I just hate TW4.0 but also love the hardware of SII and it would be great if I could have best launcher and best phone.
Zero interest in this myself, coming from a HD2 when i had a sense ROM more often than not there was always lag, only non sense based ROM's had no lag so i cant imagine this would be any different having sense on the GS2,at least with Touchwiz there is zero lag and it's fast!
SII is much more powerfull than HD2. TW4.0 is smooth but I don't like interface that want to be iOS but is not. I love sense widgets and all kind of eyecandy staff from HTC, and I would like to see it on my SII.

I really wish they would step up their game. It feels like they are a bunch of unorganised people (esp. the beta testers). The repetitive posting of rules doesn't help get interest in the project either..
why not just try GoLauncher or Launcher Pro...many widgets and themes for both launchers especially GoLauncher... i would like to see sense as well but from what i have been reading thats a dead case not gonna happen..But you never know if a serious dev goes in like DG then hopefully it might work
I think devs should rather focus on the now very soon here Android 4.0. Hopefully the Nexus Prime is a SGS2 with different software, and Google should open source it. From my experience with Sense, it's 80% eye candy. On the HD2 is was much slower than CM7 and brought little additional functionality for the extra lag. Sure the Galaxy S2 is much more powerful, but it doesn't eliminate the problems of Sense. The lag may go away, but the higher battery drain will sure be noticeable. Just try and use a launcher for the widgets, there are lots on the market.
I have a Desire HD and I want get something new, and I don't know if I should buy a new HTC flagship device or the SGS II. I run a Sense 3.5 ROM and ... It is so so function rich. I love the panorama mode in the camera, made some very nice pic already. I love those 3D widgets. But there is the screen of the SGS II... and the battery life.
If it would be possible to run Sense 3.5 on SGS II, I would buy it without a question. HTC is far ahead of any other android device manufacturer in software, and a lil bit behind Samsung in hardware performance.
... and you can't compare a SGS II to a HD2, they're not the same weight
Define what do you mean by good software software? Now as a computer science student a good software has the following features: usability, dependability, efficiency and maintainability, and some other minor but important features.
Now for sense, dependability? Heck no, seeing as I keep on reading these security issues related to their roms where user private information gets leaked to marketing websites. Efficiency? From my point of view, having half of your resources used on just the interface is simply a waste and bad coding. Usability, they sure do pass with that as they have designed a brilliant and intuitive GUI. Maintainability? Well I'd say they're doing a good job in the sense that they are keeping up with the times but I can't really make a sure judgment.
Now for TW. Dependability? I haven't heard or remember any security issue relating to TW except for the Pin code lockscreen workaround/bug for At&t's SGS2. Efficiency? Well considering only a near 1/3 of my resources are taken up, then yes? Usability, as you said it is similar to iOS UI, and iOS UI is pretty damn simple and intuitive itself, so TW is already passing. Maintainability? It is the same with HTC, I am not competent enough to make a sure judgment.
All in all i am simply countering your statement of HTC making software miles ahead of the other manufacturers, which simply isn't true. Note this done not only apply for Samsung, this applies for Nokia/Meego, Apple, Microsoft, etc.

If by 'far ahead' you mean 'Fire out phones as if there is no tomorrow and stop supporting handsets after 6months' then yeah...I agree...
I used to have the HTC Hero. My mate had the HTC Desire, Another mate currently has the HTC HD.
The hero stopped getting updates after 6 months (it was stuck on android 1.5 for 5months...thats right, 1.5....).
My mate with the Desire stopped getting updates after around the same time.
HTC spend far too much time splooging out phones every few months and 0.5% percent of their time offering support.
It took 3weeks for me to get a reply from them via email asking if they planned on releasing 2.1 update for my Hero. And even then they didnt answer it, just sent me a generic copy and paste.
The batteries seem to become fried with HTCs really quickly also. When I first got my phone it would last 3 days, after 12 months it lasted a day and a half (after having returned it to a clean slate again, just like when I first got it).
Mates desire lost a day of use time after 9months.
and the HTC HD is getting on a bit also...(mind you, he is running all stock not rooted).
Obviously I dont know how my SGS2 battery will hold up, but at the moment I get a day and a half with all settings on/auto (wifi, 3g, autosync etc), I could stretch it to 2 easy, not bad for a dualcore 1.2ghz compared to my 518mhz hero...
Samsung make a higher capacity battery though, so at least they seem pro-active compared to HTC (when my battery deteriorates I can can get a oem replacement upgrade, HTC Id be stuck with a oem stock replacement which would be crap again after 8-12 months)
That's the reason I have swapped to Samsung.
Interfaces can be changed easily enough (home replacements, rom swaps), hardware and customer service your stuck with.
Agree with the security problems with sense though. and the lag...oh the lag...although i was only running at 518mhz...
I dont see the point in dragging sense over the SGS2 other than to be like "wooo look what we've done!", But I know some people want it so whatever lol.
Rant over.

You're totally right! These people, the Devs, who are doing this for fun (not money) should totally step up their game! I mean, why shouldn't we get upset at normal people with normal lives taking the time out of their busy days to build a product/software that we otherwise would NEVER get to try?
I totally agree with your statement! Come on Devs, why don't you please "step up your game" so we can ***** some more when we finally do get it and expect it to be the bee's knees . . . .
(Lots of sarcasm in there if you didn't catch that)

sense on SGII would be amazing.
Seems to me that for every non-HTC user that wants HTC Sense on their phone, there's an HTC user that wants HTC Sense off their phone...

Hi all!
first of all, how could you compare a Hero to SGS2??
I had one for a year and was very happy with it! even if HTC didn't push the update to 2.1 very quickly I had it 3 month before with the XDA dev !!! and was working like a charm!, no lag, no massive battery drain...
secondly : "HTC spend far too much time splooging out phones every few months and 0.5% percent of their time offering support." and what about Samsung???
their phones looks like Iphones!!! the plastics are craps !!! and the support is no very good to (I have 3 friends that had some problems with their Galaxy and had to wait 3 weeks before getting it back!)
each time i solicited them i get an answer in less than 2 days!
I'm on a DHD since a year now, with the runny ROM from RCteam, without this security crap, working like a charm! no lag, no battery drain, a full sense experience!
I hope for you guys to get it on your SGS2

I have hd2 with 3.5 sense and I liked. I would like to see on sgs2. My be in one day a dev will do this.

not impressed with galaxy nexus

Today I went to a local bestbuy to take a look at the galaxy nexus, the phone I wsa originally going to wait for. I'm glad I got the Amaze...I was not impressed with any aspect of the galaxy nexus...even at 720p the pentile screen on it still manages to mess up the quality of the screen to a certain extent. if I was to pick screens I would def pick my qHD amaze screen over the amoled 720p. The cameras are not even comparable. we have a backside illuminated wide aspect f/2.2 aperture...where as the galaxy nexus uses a 5mp regular old camera the phone seems a bit long too...just as I though the sgs2 was little bulky this one seems a little bulky too. Amazes size is almost perfect. ICS does seem a little weird without the hardware buttons...I actually rather prefer the soft touch bottoms..the phone is long and does not feel as nice as my amaze in the hand...build quality is the crap plastic feeling I got with my sgs2 when I first bought then returned...overal...right now all it has over the amaze is ICS...I don't even see the big deal with ICS... all the features plus more of ICS area already on sense 3.0 and 3.5 minus the multi tasking and...sense does a good job of integrating facebook twitter all that stuff...something ICS is striving to do add widget locket and adw ex and you have a phone much more user friendly than ics imo. I can't wait till the OTA update of ICS for Amaze I hope they don't F it up...I rather like gingerbread at this point and am pretty much happy with my phone minus the stupid bloatware, which thankfully I was able to freeze using titanium backup using temproot before the wifi calling update...
Ics will look most likely what it looks like on the sensation go check it out links are here in the general forum

Well you can take solace in the fact that the amaze can flash multiple rom types, where as the galaxy nexus would only support a handful of custom roms due to the lack of capacitive buttons

Software* a device is hardware and hardware can't support other hardware as far as I know? If your gonna be sarcastic and put down someone's opinion at least don't look stupid while doing it. On that note I would rather have more hardware keys imo helps for like miui where you hold the home button to turn the flash light on and since miui will be updated I don't think it's considered outdated software as you tried to imply and failed.

I've used the ICS Rom for the HTC Inspire and found that even though its in its early stages of development It's very impressive, the captivative buttons are very fitting! I also own a Galaxy Nexus and even though my Amaze is my first pick right now due to build quality for the first time I'm feeling a greater interest in the ICS stock UI and keyboard which I find to be significantly better than that of the Amaze. I do enjoy the the display on the Amaze over Nexus and given that it will receive ICS I'm sticking with HTC.
If anyone is wondering why I also have the Nexus I got it from Bell for signing a contract after I had already paid full price for the Amaze from Telus.

It's all pretty much eye candy, same function but a different method or look of doing. Sharing photos for example rather than menu or tap to select the share options the different options automatically display like gmail, Google+ etc after a new photo is captured. Visual stuff off hand...key pad, lock screen, contacts and app drawer.
Maybe it's just the new feeling of it but I'm impressed. Stock Gingerbread to ICS is like Touchwiz to Sense IMO

From Tmo S2 forums. need some opinions

i might be trading my s2 for a amaze. can u guys tell me the goods of this phone? whats it better than s2? i dont want "just cuz you have a amaze u like it better". i want some real reasons ha.
is ics coming to this phone ota? or custom rom?
build quality?
battery life?
I was debating between the two when I updated, and I went with the amaze. Felt better, looked better, better camera/video, and I liked the screen better. Screen seemed smoother too. Only thing I don't like about it is the battery, it really does lose out in that category.
overall though, I liked the amaze better.
how about ics? whens that coming for amaze?
read an article some mfg's are bringing updates out very soon. depends who your provider is
im tmobile. you think ics will come out?
and r there any other things amaze has over the s2?
The phones are virtually identical in terms of hardware. The S2 will benchmark a bit better because of its lighter operating system but in terms of real world use, they're both fast phones.
You just have to ask yourself whether you prefer Sense or TouchWiz. Otherwise, go to a T-Mobile store and try playing with an Amaze and decide for yourself whether or not you like its build, how it feels, which screen you prefer, how important the camera is to you, etc.
Additionally, this phone may or may not ever attain S=off, so although flashing new roms is not difficult at all if you read, it is not as straightforward as it is with other devices.
In terms of an official ICS update, it's supposedly releasing early this year:
http://www.engadget.com/2011/11/07/htc-announces-specifics-on-ice-cream-sandwich-upgrades/
I had the amaze for a couple weeks and now the s2 I can tell you its just a matter of personal preference. I preferred what the amaze has to offer over the s2, camera mainly so now I'm trying to find someone to trade with the s2 is a good phone a lot of people choose it over the amaze but to me the things it offers like screen, being thin, tw aren't what I want.

i saw buy a externel sdcard thats the best there only like 10 bucks for 4gbs
Well I'm coming off the HD2 so it's like taking a big leap and in lots of ways the Amaze is just a better piece of hardware. One of the things I do miss is the phenomenal development that went on in the HD2, you name it and someone was working on it. I really like MIUI but so far it's not been ported.
I cant complain about the work here, damn these guys are good and the ROMS are incredible. I'm using the latest from Xboarder and cant think of anything that doesn't work and work well. Even the battery is good & lasts about the whole day with some pretty heavy road warrior usage. One thing I did was pick up the Anker battery and charger off Amazon, for $18 you get the charger and 2 batteries, I never worry about running out of juice, it's a good system.
I'm an HTC guy, I looked at the S2 but just liked the amaze better but it's a personal preference, they are both solid phones. I push this thing in ways I never thought possible and it just works.
I'd not say the Amaze is going to blow your mind if you're coming from an S2 but HTC pays a lot of attention to detail and it really shows in this device.
The build quality, camera and Sense are all very refined and make for a rather polished device. Go for it

thanks ha. well is htc going to push out ics for amaze first then samsung?
Thinking of picking this up too. I had 3-4 S2s and the screen issue is what killed it for me.
What are some options of extending the battery life via better roms/kernels? I know the synergy kernel for the s2 (t989) was amazing.
If the battery life is bad, I'd rather just wait for the next thing.
I have both the Samsung Galaxy SII and the amaze. Both are practically the same. I prefer HTC Sense over Samsung TouchWiz. The battery life is quite bad on the Amaze, the SII definitely has a better life. However, the resolution the galaxy is horrible for its size. Overall, both are great phones, it comes down to the UI.

I gave up my sensation for the sg2 because I thought I had to have the sg2. As soon as I got home I was already disappointed. Could not get over how blue the screen was. The size was awesome but size is nothing if the color is poor. Touchwiz is gay, go buy a iPhone if you like it. Sg2 felt cheap too. Being my sensation was sold, I exchanged for amaze. Htc just plain and simple makes great phones. Coming from the sensation to the amaze was kind of a let down. Phone isn't any better except the camera and dedicated shutter button. The fact of no development with the amaze makes it rather boring. Waiting on ics.

Everything on the software side of the SGS2 (blue tint screen, TouchWiz sucking) could've been fixed on XDA.
I can't stand the 480x800 resolution on that 4.52in screen.... Also, it felt too light (SGSII)...
I have both the Amaze and the Sensation and I love them both. The Sensation has tons of ROMs and development. The Amaze has less development atm BUT the work that xboarder does IS OUTSTANDING. Plus, the camera is very nice.

Not to make you feel bad, but my teen daughter (14 years old), got a 16gb class 8 microSD as soon as she completed her small house chor. She needed the extra space so bad for storing the songs she wanted to carry around, and I was in a good mood for spending the few bucks it cost me.
In any case, you can do everything you're asking for without an sdcard. Go visit the [FAQ] or the [How to Root] threads and see for yourself.
By the way, I did buy both SG2S and the Amaze on the day it came out, and I am letting my wife use the SG2S. She thinks exactly the opposit. I feel lucky that she didn't chose the Amaze!!

I'm surprised your wife likes the SGS2, most females I know hate the phone or any with similar dimensions due to the phone being "too big" for their girly ass hands. Plus they're addicted to BBM anyways (ugh, BlackBerry)
The Amaze looks manlier in my opinon anyways

Htc one X v.s Samsung Galaxy SIII

I like both phones, and both have their ups and down.
I like both companies new iterations of their proprietary skins, Sense 4.0 looks great and TouchWiz (5?) has a bunch of new helpful features (and I like old ones such as swipe a name to call/message). The One X definately wins in the looks department but I don't think the SGS III is as ugly as most make it out to be. However I hear the battery life isn't so great on the One X, and a portion of the screen is wasted for an onscreen menu button due to HTC basing it on the layout Google set out (which is stupid I think, there's no reason to have a seperate multitasking button when holding down Home for 1-2 seconds works perfectly fine.)
All in all I think the SGS III offers more benefits to the user, even if HTC does win in certain areas (better looking, better camera, more refined interface). If I were actually buying one of the two I'd like to try them out side by side before making a final decision, but at this stage I'm going to say Galaxy S III.
S3 cuz of us storage mode and lte

I think htc is better software and design wise but the s3 might have better battery life and camera also samsung tends to have phone really lightweight but it just depends what you prefer : sense or touchwiz?

After using the sensation for about a month I had to get rid of it because of sense. I seriously do not like sense.. It really annoys me for some reason. I know that you'd probably be able to root it and custom rom the One X but to be honest i would much rather just go with the s3.
I would say the S3. I like every spec that it have. Im not going to say that the X One is a bad phone because it isn't, its a great great phone, but i just like Samsung more.

I like how Samsung is focusing on Software, why make a super pocket computer if you dont have good apps to exploit that power?
S-voice is something that should have been present on Android earlier...
The good thing is that is very probable to see all that software ported to other devices
I'm still very happy with my HTC Sensation XL, but if I would buy a new phone now it would definatly be the One X.
I was really looking forward to the Galaxy S III, but the plastic keeps me away again.
I think the design is just too bad and I've always loved the HTC devices so it wouldn't be a though choice for me.

+1 my exact same thought. except i would never get caught holding a samsung phone.
Hello guys.
This is something I'm wondering about as I'm planning to buy a new device soon. I love HTC's build quality and the Legend was the best looking phone I've ever owned.
On the other hand, I'm currently using a Galaxy S i9000 which I absolutely hated out of the box but fell in love with once I discovered the great work by developers on this site.
Development for i9000 and Samsung in general is very active here. Could an HTC owner please tell me how it is on the other side of the fence? My decision will eventually come down to the availability of custom ROMS from XDA.

hi
till recently and even now i have one HTC phone which is being used by my wife(very low end one) I can give it to u guaranteed their will be great development for any HTC phone u buy in fact to my knowledge XDA was and still is Famous for HTC development support . so cool man go buy any HTC phone ull have fun here
Another S3 vote here.
The only thing the HOX has over the S3 is the screen, and that's debatable depending on whether you prefer LCD or AMOLED and their accompanying traits.
Both great phones, but the S3 wins on processor/GPU grunt and software innovation.
The slight camera advantage that the HOX had has been demolished by Samsung copying it's main features and bettering them (burst mode, best shot, voice activated capture) - and Samsung cameras have always been pretty good hardware-wise anyway.
SD card support, removable battery, probably better battery life (than the Tegra 3 HOX), the list goes on - and that's even before you get into the software side of things which I won't bother with as I assume you have/are capable of looking all that up.

2nd times 10. Samsung phones feel so dang cheap you forget about what a good phone should feel like. I hated my GSII and went to the HTC One S and it is just night and day for me. I get signal in places I didn't before. The slim form factor and the build quality and just so superior. Never say never but I doubt I will be grabbing another Samsung. (Vibrant owner and GSII)
Obviously there is no perfect phone as I am not a fan of where they put the volume buttons and how large they are in contrast to the wake\sleep button but overall outstanding device. My good friend keep on about his One X and I see why. Sense has some really nice things about it. Twiz is the devil. Add to that Samsung's update issue and industry worse no looking back to support devices and that is enough for me. I am not saying they are wrong it just doesn't work for me going forward.
I really like the design & build quality of HTC One X.. Both are polycarbonate plastic but HTC did the right thing! But SGS III beats One X in almost every single category.. So SGS III for me.. I don't care about the design anyway since i will use casing.. lol

Getting Galaxy S3 tommorow (already One X owner)

Looking forward to getting this, what are my options in terms of rooting, I've got the white model ordered.
I absolutely hate Touchwiz UI and was hoping to stick on ICS CM or Sense, what are my options

If you want to follow a root tutorial then I recommend the videos by zedomax on http://galaxys3root.com his videos are really good and he has couple videos of the best roms available for the S3. They are really helpful.

Have you tried the new touchwiz? Give it a try. It actually works great and doesn't require a lot of resources like other UI, it's not as huge of a memory hog as sense is and quite frankly it gets the job done better than Sense did IMO. I'm a former HOX owner.
True sense is a memory resource hog but compared to Touchwiz UI its beautiful and does the job,
I like the concepts of Touchwiz UI and the "smart" things it can do, but really I want something nice to look at at the same time.
I love Sense 4 and I also love stock ICS, either of those 2 will get the job done, the one X is my fav phone at the moment due to Tegra Zone, S3 will be my second phone of choice. Nothing will change this as this is how I feel about HTC which have tried to do something different whereas Samsung just copy n paste from iOS which I don't really like (apple vs samsung lawsuits come to mind)
Yep I just pre ordered an s3, had the evo lte in my hands about two weeks. I feel like a real asshole for doing this cause I've been with HTC a long time... And I know I'm gonna hate the display comparatively but that being said at least I can take the damn battery out, I think this was the biggest selling point for me... I hate being tethered to a damn cord all the time... So I'm biting the bullet... I don't really know where to start as there are posts all over the place for the 3 gazillion varients of this phone, I can't seem to find a sprint s3 section only as I doubt any of these other roms will play... Root method should be the same though at least for American models??? Little help? Lol, TIF...

All north American models will be the same. Only difference for the sprint one should be the radio

Everyone uses APEX I believer which gives you a stock ICS feel.

I can live with apex so I suppose it wont be all that bad, but stock menus must go!
I wish there was a sense 4 launcher lol
I don't get all the love Sense gets, it was ugly and outdated 3 years ago, and it's just as bad now, and still ugly as sin, just don't get it, TW or stock are 1000% better
It's not all about sense, it's the developers and build quality. Half the time I run non-sense roms, hell they even have touch whiz running on the lte:-\ that being said, lol, just waiting for the phone in the mail...
What are you navy airborne???
Just joking... 173/101st abnbde here...

I didn't like the TouchWiz either, had 5 HTC phones before this S3, so I made used ADW EX to make it a whole lot better
Ive had four phones wkth sense. It feels outdated.
Yawn. Touchwiz.
Sense4 is nicer than touchwiz and unlike touchwiz, never reloads or stalls!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1694291
And I do have both phones both stock...Personal preference though. I had gs1 and gs2 and could not wait to replace launchers.
To op. Don't hold your breath on sense for gs3 anytime soon.
