Lock screen missing phone after root - HTC EVO 3D

has anybody else had this issue since rooting and s-off? If so what is the fix? It was there at first, then I replaced my messages quick launch with gosms, and now my phone app is missing. It also is missing from the app list. I know this was an issue for some due to an its when the phone first launched, but have not seen anybody else talking about this issue.

Just reboot. But make sure quickboot isnt check under system/power

Install the OTA update. Don't worry, you won't lose root.

Ok, thanks ill try reboot first, then ota.

Interesting, can you give us more information about your phone...
Has it been rooted before? Are you running a particular ROM? Have you flashed SBF?

Yes, I orginally had it rooted with Superoneclick and then tried the update but it failed. So I messed with some system files and had a soft brick. Then I flashed the sbf and I came back up.
After that I used the before and after update root method and everything worked. Now I get this annoying pop up everytime I wake the phone from sleep.
Also from the lock screen, my phone doesn't want to time out anymore... If I leave it at the lockscreen without hitting the power it will stay on indefinitely.
ANNOYING!
bump, plz help!

SetCPU and constant superuser permission requests

As often as every few seconds and as rarely as every few minutes SetCPU will ask for permissions and a toast notification from the superuser app will indicate such.
Why is it doing this?
I've googled and searched here. The only solutions I've found are unacceptable. The solution provided each time is to turn off notifications. Not happening.
This issue has not occurred on any other phone I've had and has occurred on both my stock kernel and custom kernel with my current Evo 3d.
The last time I updated SuperUser this issue went away.
I had the same issue..i just went to the su settings and turn off the notifications and it was fix....

Again as stated in the original post, this isn't a solution. This is just ignoring the problem.

Everything is fully updated and still happening.
I have SU 3.0.7 and SetCPU v 2.2.4 and no issues in a while.

May try a fresh install of superuser. Any issues to be aware of by removing the app that allows root access?

Flash it in recovery. It will just over write it. I downloaded a flashable update some time ago.

To get rid of SetCPU notifications from Superuser you need to turn off notifications in Superuser
Lol yeah, just turn the notifications off and it'll stop.

Are you using a stock kernel? There is a reason I ask, but we'll get to that part.
Also, what rom are you running, and are you setting profiles?

[Q] Grr, had to restore to factory, why?

After using an app called TS 2 which encrypts photos and videos, my Allstream began bootlooping. It would get to the Sense touchscreen, and as soon as i pulled the ring up, boot loop began. What was the possible cause of this ?
Also, I've been spending the last2 hours getting my tablet back to normal.thankfully, all my music and data is backed up online w google or Picasa or etc.
Related question:
Though, like my synergy Rom on EVO, is there a way to enable the jetstream to automatically Download all the apps again when a flash or restore occurs? Is root needed for that?
If you checked Google to backup your apps, your apps should reinstall minus the data.

Ok. Really unhappy now. I rebooted my device after spending hours yesterday restoring it and it is still bootlooping after a factory reset. When I pull the lockscreen run, it crashes and reboots. Please help.
Possible causes?

is there a chance your issue is related to that thread?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1306673
i never had bootloops myself, so i cant quite help. sorrys.
I'm unsure. I was on WiFi when it happened. I don't know of that makes a difference. Also, I had screen rotation off, so I was unable to rotate to check.
Could this glitch be fixed with root?

Also, my jetstream does not bootloop on its own. It only happens once I tell the device to reboot.
I'm afraid to reboot it now lol. It's done it twice and the hours I've out in to restoring it is not cool.
I need nandrioid!!

Home double tap

I hate the voice command app and I want to be able to change what double tap of home does, or just disable that, because I keep launching voice command accidentally. On my last phone the Motorola Flipout there was an option in settings to change what double tap of home would launch? Is the some configuration file I can edit or other process to fix this?
I apologize if this has already been talked about, I searched on my phone but I surprisingly didn't find anything

I have no idea on stock rom, but on custom firmware you can change it using JKay mod.
You will have to root your phone to be able to delete the application.
Or if you are not rooted, just upgrade to the current release of stock 2.3.6. (Settings > Software update). That removes the double tap home function.
If you like the stock rom then flash Entropy's stock rooted package. The rom is stock, deodexed and rooted. You can find it here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1286432
Then just flash the mod on this page to remove the double tap action and the lag associated with it.

I am rooted, I guess I could just uninstall the app, I just didn't want to entirely get rid of it. I might try uninstalling then reinstalling, see if that gets rid if it

Do you have the full version of Titanium Backup? If so, you can just freeze it as well so it's not actually removed, just disabled.
I don't have the full version, I made backup and then uninstalled. I don't have voice control anymore but the double tap problem is gone so I'm happy

I've lost the Quick Memo (or whatever it's called) app

Hey gang,
I'm on a rooted Tmobile variant and I just recently noticed I don't have the Quick Memo app. It seems like it's called something else now but basically the same thing. I've not done anything other than rooting. I froze some apps but I went back into Titanium Backup just to be sure anything that could even remotely have disabled the app was defrosted. I found (what appears to be) the app in the system. I installed it via the apk... Checked the permissions etc. It just doesn't seem to be workin. I know it was before I rooted it last week..... Weird... Any thoughts on this?
Anyone had the same issue?

Try going to about phone option under settings and select update center. Select app updates and see if it's installed there.
