Exploring my device for the first time. I did the international pudding unlock and installed the Alien rom. It's brilliant.
I have a snag with one thing. I can't seem to download anything from the Android Market (old version or new version) using Wifi.
Anyone have any ideas?

I'm an international user. Market works fine over 3G.
Update:
Reflash again, tried a different kernal. Same results.
I can browse the market using wifi - I just can't download.
Update 2:
ID-10T error. I suspect that is the router blocking the poor on my currently connected WiFi.

Hi, I've had my hero for about 2 months now. I suddenly found out that I have not been receiving my texts, since I don't know when. I tried texting to someone, and it also does not work. I recently got myself one of these bad boys:

- It does have the mechanical Home Key - purchased in South Africa.
I'd like to upgrade it to GB or higher Kies just tells me my device is not upgradable??!! Why would that be?
Anyway I have read solidly for two days on this forum and I am inclined to attempt the following ROM: International 5.0 (Rest of World) Eryiğit Custom Rom Default Release 3.0
I just don't know enough whether it's compatible or that it would work or brick?
One thing I really would like out of it which it hasn't at the moment, is to have an ad-Hoc hotspot running on it for others to connect to a small web server... is that possible with the ROM above or am I going to have to wait or try something else?

I have a galaxy s2 flashed to MetroPCS as follows:

I paid a shop here in san francisco to flash it for me and i am extremely happy with this phone. The phone is GREAT and I have unlimited everything for 50.00 per month.
However when I got home I installed MetroPCS VisualVoicemail.apk version 3.14.22 and everything worked great. Then the other day my visual voicemail stopped working. I tried everything to get it to work and I even compeletly uninstalled and reinstalled it but it still doesn't work.
Also as you see above I am on Caulkin's 2.7 can I upgrade to Caulkin's 3.0 without doing a complete wipe? Or maybe ICS????

I can use TV Out to play videos stored on the phone; however, if I try to use the internet, the H+ in the notification bar changes to E and the phone does not connect to the internet. Even tried it using wifi instead of data connection and still would not connect to the internet.
Same happened to me. Even the wifi goes out. Can remember the ROM i was on.

I'm a noobie so be ez on me. I purchased a used 10.1 SGH-T859 and went to update to ICS and saw that I have a weird baseband and Build number: Baseband version: T859UVKJ2 Build number: HTJ85B.VKJ2_demo T859UVKJ2_demo The one it should have come with is T859UVKJ3. Kies won't upgrade me to ICS and I'm wanting to root it but not sure how to do it, because I can't find anybody with this version. Was this a show room tablet with a demo version installed? I really have tried to research this before coming here to bother people.
