Alright, So I bought the Skinomi screen protector from amazon. The first one I got I applied and it doesn't reach end to end. So I emailed the company from amazon that I bought it from and informed them that it didn't fit and sent them pictures. They sent out another one, which I got today, and it's the same exact size as the last one.
Anyone else have a skinomi screen protector, does it fit your screen? The pictue below shows the screen protector not reaching to the bottom.

My Clarivue screen protector was cut the similar to your Skinomi. Maybe a tad longer but still 1mm short of the screen. I have a TPU hybrid case on and it covered the bottom so I can't see that is short.
I just got this email fro them:
"Hello,
We allow about an 1/8" room on all screen protectors and skin. We do this because if it was exact then alot of people can not install it without messing up. I am sorry if this does not work for you, please contact customer service if you have anymore questions. Have a great day!
Thank You"
Yet, it doesn't say that on the order screen.
Is there a screen protector that fits the whole screen?
My ZAGG is even shorter. Kind of a bummer.
Wow, that is surprising about Zagg! While Zagg may not have the best feel to them, they usually fit perfect and are freaking unscratchable!!
The Otterbox screen protectors that can't with my Impact case and my Commuter case fit perfect! Well, I've actually only installed one, the one from the Impact, but they are identical.... The Otterbox also feels and looks like there is nothing on the screen at all. I am very impressed and pleased with the screen protector!! Another bonus is that it doesn't stick to the built in screen protector on the Defender like the Zagg did to the Ballistic HC case with my Evo 4G( no stupid baby powder trick needed, which barely even worked to begin with anyway.....)

I got the screen protector from FLsuperstore on ebay by recommendation of others on this forum, and I have to say, it really is a great screen protector. Cut is perfect, clarity is perfect, and I've been using it for two weeks with no scratches (went to the beach twice). I can't recommend it enough, my last screen protector on my Evo4G was the Steinheil Crystal Clear, and I feel like this screen protector works just as well. My Steinheil maybe felt a little thicker/harder, but still had scratches after I used it. This one I don't have any scratches yet, it still feels great. For $1.50 though, you can't go wrong. I was impressed enough to order their anti-glare to see how that fares.

Your Skinomi fits perfectly?
Also, thanks nhutpham! I'm gonna order one.
I've never had a screen protector on any item that was 100% coverage. They have all been at least .5 mm short in each direction. I can't see where anyone could install a screen protector properly if it was 100% accurate without mechanical assistance.
I've had Zagg, Skinomi, Clarivue, Skinz, Skin It and several others over the years.
I love my zagg, but it's cut even smaller than yours. According to the box it’s supposed to be "case friendly"
My skinomi fits perfectly... there's a VERY small gap but you want that... if the protector was cut to the exact size, it'd peel off on the edges. The gap on yours does seem a bit much though.

Hey All. Got my Amaze yesterday and its already up and running on the Energy ROM with faux kernal; thanks to those respective devs. With the flashing out of the way for now, time to look into some cases. As everyone is aware, amaze is not the lightest or thinnest phone, so a case with minimal weight would be desireable. I ran into a matte snap on case from ebay, wanted to know if anyone here has any feedback on these. I am not going after the price (I am open to spend whatever for the ideal case), but more so on the "thin" part. Sadly, I can't post the url due to my noob status, but its easily searchable under "Matte BLACK Hard Snap On Thin Back Case Cover For HTC T-Mobile Amaze 4G".
Looking forward to being part of the Amaze community!
I have a two piece black rubberized case on my one amaze, and a one piece hard case on the other one. Both are light, and fit pretty good. the two piece fits tighter, and has cutouts for all the mic holes on the back cover etc. and they all line up. its just a cheap ebay case. And both are thin. Any cheapie case you get on ebay will be light, and the best part is after a couple months just pay $3-5 and get a new one.
The one piece doesen't cover the top and bottom of the phone, just the sides, so it won't protect as well as the two piece, and if I ever have to pop the two piece apart to get at the back cover, it comes apart easy.
I'd get a cheap two piece, try it out. if you need more protection, then upgrade, but i'd start at ebay.
Be careful with some of the cheap ebay snap-on cases. I got one for a previous phone that was front and back pieces that snapped together. It was thin and looked OK but it would pop open when dropped and the phone would come out and land unprotected. It was ok for scratch protection and keeping the screen off the table but provided very little to zero drop protection.
Thanks for the info. Yeah I have to consider the drop protection. When I was searching youtube for cases, the videos were showing cases which was huge. Yes it protects the phone, but it’s very uncomfortable to carry around. Might have to try some on from the local mall kiosk if anything.
I just went with a cheap ebay case from eforcecity and I'm satisfied. I think I paid $6 shipped and it came with a screen protector.
I got one from ebay that is really good, it comes with a holster. Trust me, thiz isnt like the ones that are cheap made and snaps when minimal force aplied to it. This is high quality. Not bulky either.

I too have this case, it works great. I have not noticed any difference in my network connection signal strength which was a concern and has provided good protection for the phone in its couple of drops. I work in a hydraulics shop with hardened concrete floors and it has held up well. As a side note the case also holds up well when exposed to mineral and petroleum based hydraulic fluids.

I wasn't finding many bumper cases besides aluminum versions out there so I decided to try out a generic one I found on Ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170818419766&ssPageName=ADME:L:OU:US:1123
It was $5.99 including shipping. They have a few other colors available. The description is for "Samsung Galaxy Note i9220, n7000", but it fits the i717 great.

The black rubber buttons over the volume and power buttons make everything easy to press.
I like how the black outlines the front of the Note. The case fits mostly snug although mine is a little loose at the top (giving a slight wave on the black as it runs along the top)
I wasn't sure about white on white, but I think it works.
I had a SGP Neo Hybrid EX on my GSII and loved it. This case is definitely not as good quality, but is good for the money and will do until I find just the right one.
Edit: After several weeks of use, my only complaint is the soft black rubber can come apart from the harder white plastic. A little super glue takes care of it. I use it in a car mount that squeezes on the sides so that probably makes the problem worse.
Looks pretty good, I'm definitely interested. Why is that top corner exposed though? Maybe put a zagg full body or something on it and you'd be pretty secure.
How tight is it? I have a GLAS.t glass screen protector and I wonder if it would still fit.

It is flexible and while snug not tight so I don't think another 0.4mm thickness would cause problems.
My SGP Neo Hybrid EX for the GSII (I bought the non-US version of the case because I didn't want to wait ) had the same open area on the corner. I believe some countries have an option for an external or retractable antenna that pops out there.

I didn't even know such a product existed. I found a few others on ebay. I'm thinking of getting a less bulky case. Right now I'm using the seidio active. I'm afraid of breaking anything because I dropped it the first week and cracked my screen ($200 replacement!) so I bought the glass screen protector for my new one. I think this would be the perfect level of protection and still keep it looking good and slim. I'm not as worried about the battery cover as you can just buy a new one for $13 off eBay.
Thanks for the review and the link. It's nice to see that this is a US seller with excellent feedback score.

Antenna for Korea. The i9220 is their version. Case looks nice, I like the bumper look...but still has the lip to protect it

I took my case on and off a few times over the weekend playing with uSD cards and another battery. I noticed one corner of the case looked funny (it came up over the screen more than it should). The black soft rubbery material had pulled away from the white harder material on that corner. A little super glue fixed it, but thought I would let others know. Still OK for a total of $5.99. If anyone finds a quality TPU/rubber type bumper case, please post a link.
good find...just bought one!

I had a poetic case for my Nexus 7 and I love it. Any news in poetic offerings for the Shied Tablet?
Their eta is 15th September.
Which poetic case are you referring too? I emailed them a few days ago and they responded saying they didn't have any plans for the flip case style (slimline), but only making a silicone skin case.

Here are a couple I've found in my daily browsing, both the Turtle Series and Revolution series, though middle of next month to end of next month pending which one.

I ordered this one yesterday and it looks very much like the Poetic Slimline cases. I'll have to see how it works after it arrives, though, but the price is hard to beat and I like that it offers some drop protection for the corners.

I couldn't find a better thread, so I was hoping for assistance here. I just got the revolution case, but the screen protector on the inside has an oily sheen when it presses against the screen. Any suggestions on the best way to remove that after popping the tablet back out of the case? It is bad enough that it impacts the display quality significantly.
Thanks!

The screen protector is glued on to the inside of the front frame so you can heat it up with a blow dryer or a heat gun then pry it up at a corner and peel it back. Otherwise you can take a razor and just cut around the opening of the frame and it should do the trick.

Oh! I'm sorry, I was not specific enough. I was hoping to clear off the oily sheen effect, not actually removing the screen protector. Thank you though for those steps.
pretty sure the sheen is the screen protector material itself and not some kind of coating. The oldschool ballistic cases used to do this and one of the possible solutions was to sprinkle some baby powder on it to prevent it from sticking.
A trick that worked for the Otterbox on my wife's Galaxy S3 might work here as well:
First clean the display and the inside of the screen protector. Get some baby powder and while leaving the top closed shake up the container to get the powder into a fine dust inside. Take the screen protector and hold it above the shaken baby powder bottle(?), open the top of the powder and squeeze the bottle so a powder cloud comes out and slightly dusts the inside of the screen protector.
Put the case back together and hopefully the oily film is gone. Clean/Repeat as necessary.
There are videos on YouTube showing this solution. Some use the powder on the device, I think it's wiser to do it on the case/screen protector.

May I ask which one you bought? I'm trying to decide between the Sparin or intelliGLASS HD. Both have decent reviews but I no nothing about either company.
I got the intelliglass one.. Its still solid no complaints
Sent from my SHIELD Tablet using Tapatalk
Go for the Intelliglass...
Easy to clean, looks beautiful, covers the entire screen (ambient sensor etc), and is always slippery lol (awesome oleophobic coating)
Thanks for the quick responses. I'll probably order the Intelliglass screen protector along with a case. Random question for you both: Do you have any random separation between the casing and the screen around the speaker grill? Mine had a very small one and I'm thinking of exchanging it
I have purchased the Sparin one, and it was fine but extremely difficult to put on correctly. The 9H hardness level means that it's going to be a bit brittle so you can't use the tape trick if you get dust under it.
I bought the Sparin one. As to a comment above...all tempered glass screen protectors are brittle. If you get dust trapped underneath, you must take great care to lift it without breaking it. I had to lift mine as I put it on a bit off center. I used a razor blade along an edge to lift it up and reapply it, with no issues. I have a review of it and an "Exact" brand case on this forum, with pics. Also, the Sparin does NOT have the cutout for the sensors. Even without the cutout, I've noticed no issues with the sensors not working. As to smoothness, I notice no difference between the naked glass and the now covered glass. As to sensitivity, I laid the cover on top of the screen while it still had the peel off protective layer on it, while it was still in it's protective foam envelope (was checking for rough size) and I still had no issues with the screen picking up my finger. Even though the 3 extra layers of material were basically opaque, i could still easily see stuff moving under my finger through all 3 layers with the screen set at max bright.
I have the Intelliarmor one installed and love it. Their oleophobic coating is the best of all the tgsp's I've tried on multiple devices. They're not the cheapest but their customer support is great though most sellers on amazon would gladly send a replacement even if you're the one who messed up the tgsp.

Best brand/quality screen protector : atFoliX - Made in Germany.
Been using their products for years on many of my devices (phones, tablets, watches), but have had hard time to find those for my 360 2nd Gen, guess it's too soon... Ended up finding it on Amazon.de http://goo.gl/wGGkuv

The material is slightly on the rough side, but that is mentioned in the description of the item.
