[Q] Froyo parts for Sony ROM - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

Hi,
I like to keep Sony original ROM because I had some problems with Froyo (I tried Froyo and SROM based on Froyo). But is there a way to get the dialer software, the email software and the Android keypad for the original ROM ?
So nice would be to get these apps as a apk-file.
Or will these apps not work on original ROM ?
Regards Odiad

these apps need 2.2 :|

Another question regarding getting functions for Sony Stock-Rom (2.1.1.C.0.0.....): The Adroid 2.2/2.3 function to skip a song in a music player via long pressing the volume buttons - is it possible to get this function e.g as a app ? Because I like this function, but I would like to keep Original Rom.
Regards Odiad

[Q] Is it possible to install Mediascape in original 2.3.3?

Hi, I want to see how Mediascape runs in Android 2.3.3, but I wanted to know if it it's possible to get the app from an X10 so I can install it on my X10 running 2.3.3. In case I can, do I need to root?
Thanks in advance.
I think that's not possible. is between 2.1 and 2.3.3 to the consuming
Wolfbreak say this on his WB-XPERIA TW Gingerbread Thread.
Wolfbreak said:
Sry but SE dumped Mediascape in 2.1 becouse it needs to much Time for OS Upgrades becouse porting Mediascape to newer Android Versions is critical and a longtime Process even for SE so i think theres no way to get it in 2.3, sorry!

Any other way to get 2.3 on mini than CyanogenMod?

Yeah, title says it all. I have a XPERIA X10 Mini running android 2.1
BTW i want to go back to 1.6 just to try it out again, but i dont know how, is there any official way or do i need to mod etc ?!
Short answer: No.
Longer answer: Not yet.
Even longer answer:By the looks of things, all the Gingerbread roms available here have CyanogenMod inside them. Sony Ericsson haven't released 2.3 onto this phone and they're not likely to either, so the only way to get a 'pure' version of it would be to hope that somebody makes one...or make it yourself.
Why do you want GB without CM though? The reason so many people put it in their rom's is that it's very good. You get all sorts of improvements to the phone's functionality and performance.
As for going back to 1.6, there's no official way as SE will only give you the latest firmware. But you can use Flashtool to do it instead.
stock FTW!
I think the OP is like me and they actually prefer using the stock launcher. I've been looking for the same thing myself, a pure stock rom just updated 2.3.3.
I appreciate all of the cool tweaks and mods that CM adds to the rom but for me those tweaks usually end up borking another feature i'd rather use. I am also not a big fan of the customizations that some rom authors do like alternative launchers, heavily modified notification trays, weird fonts and color schemes. i'd prefer a just straight vanilla stock rom w/the sony launcher and camera; works nicely w/the screen realestate that we have w/the x10 mini. Again, i appreciate all the hardwork by all the rom authors/devs.
The big killer for me on the CM roms is the camera, still not up to the sony stock camera in my experience and again no stock launcher; some are close.
My solution was the following:
1. repair phone back to stock using PC Companion
2. reroot phone (bootloader already was unlocked)
3. reinstall CWM recovery
4. remove bloatware from stock rom (sony sync crap, game trials, quickoffice, etc)
5. update /etc/hosts file w/ad blocking version
6. create nand backup in CWM. (also made one after setting up miniCM7 in case i wanted to go back at anytime by restoring the nand)
if we could just get 2.3.3 in a pure stock form.. i'd be in heaven.. however, i may give the new ICS roms a try once they get to everyday-use-stable.
btw, the x10 minis have been the hardest to get root, recovery and kernels on of all of the android devices i've used yet. (Nexus one, HTC G2, LG G2x, Lenovo TPT, Galaxy Tab). mad props to the devs that got us to where we are now.

[Q] To all Developers of CM7/CM9

Sir can you install or put in CM7/9 the stock Radio and Camera PLEASE ?
Sorry for the Bad English, Thank you in Advance Sir
When you mean "stock", do you mean stock from CM7/9 or stock from Samsung?
For the latter, it would be quite troublesome for the Ace developers to port Samsung TW Apps to AOSP ROMs.
Plus the camera in CM9 does not work yet... But you can always download another camera app from the Market.
installing camera apps from market for cm9 wont do any good. since the problem is the phone cannot detect or connect to the camera itself. its best if you go for customized stock roms such as themyth, omegarom or other stock roms at development section

just asking.. please answer.

can i use this stock rom apps on cm7?
1. phone and contact
2. camera
3. music player
extract from andro-id and stock rom, push to cm7, not working..
Why do you want to use those stock apps ?
The same one are already present in CM7 Roms...
You don't give us enough information ...
Have a good day

[Q] Facebook home for stock rom/ Idea of stable rom

Hey guys how are u? I want to know if have some way to use facebook home in a rooted stock rom? Is it possible? Because all roms that i found on CM10 have problems in bluetooth or wifi, if u have a idea of a stable rom, can u tell me?
It clearly says on Play Store that Facebook Home requires Android 4.0 and up. Stock Android is 2.3.x.
