Dungeon Defenders
PocketGod
NinJump
Robo Defense
Gun Bros
Tank Hero
Jet car stunts
All tested and working great on CM7 (phiremod V4) for me!
Slice It! and Humans vs Aliens (PvZ copy) are great for the NC. HvA looks a little blurry from being stretched but great nontheless.
Evac hd, totem hd, raidant hd, super dynamite fishing, and of course mortal kombat on the sega emu
Nookie Froyo 0.6.8 (zoom2)/Tapatalk Pro
Also, buka hd, mx moto, ghosts n zombies, the quake series.. those are the games i forgot to post
Nookie Froyo 0.6.8 (zoom2)/Tapatalk Pro
Overkill, Dead Runner, and Homerun Battle runs fine on my Nook. Im using 1.1.0
PewPew (The malware free original), The Last Defender HD, Cordy, 3D Bio Ball HD
I still can't get Stupid Zombies to show up in the Market and every .apk I have downloaded has not worked. How are you getting it to run on your Nook? Can you PM me the .apk?
Are all these games in the market place??
Here's what I've been playing.
Meteor Blitz: 3d Top-down shooter; left-thumbmoves, right-thumb shoots. At the moment my fav game to play.
PewPew: 2d Another top-down shooter. Remind me of geometry wars for the 360.
Crystal Defence: 2d A final fantasy theamed tower defence game. Very fun, very hard.
Demon Hunter: 2d Side Scrolling action RPG. Kind of messy controls, but fun.
Dungen Hunter: 3d action dungeon grinder. Really fun, but the load times are hell.
Zeonia 2: 2d Top-down action rpg. great rpg, I'm currently 8+ hours into it.
Tower Raider: 3d tower defence. good game, but gameplay is VERY slow and I can see it being frustrating for some.
Good luck, And remember: Buy your games.
Word Feud is great, but sometimes it takes forever for the other player to play their turn. I think Droidwords allows you to play against a computer though.
You all should try "Cordy". It's a beautiful jump'n run game with great graphics
AirAttack HD Lite is also very nice to look at and fun to play
Hi, I'm new here, signed up yesterday. I just got a Nook Colour and Modded it.
I have some .apk files, a video player and some games.
I'm just not exactly sure where the files should go exactly...
Angry Birds, super dynamite fishing, live holdem, live blackjack, words with friends, word feud. But, finding that I'd rather read lately...
@Kinetic: The easiest thing that I've found to do is load the apks on your SD card and download a file manager (I like Linda, you can find it in the market) and then open the apks with that.
been playing mario 64 on n64oid on my nookie froyo 1ghz and it runs perfectly!!
Been playing pocket legends on both my Evo when out and about and on my NC when I'm at home.
Decent mmo game with cross platform to apple. Account info is on your login so going from one device to another is fine.

The apk files are installable from within a file manager from the market like Astro or ES file manager. If you download applications from the market they should install automatically for you.
Read the faqs for more details. Remember search is your friend!
Both Castelvanias work well on n64oid.
Hey guys, just wondering if any of you have been using an SNES emulator yet. N64oid is cool for N64 but I think SNES games are better suited to mobile gaming (less buttons, more simple graphics) Ideally, I'd like to have an emulator that I could set up the 4 circle buttons as A,B,X and Y and the camera shutter button as R and vol up as L. Any suggestions?
If you like N64oid, why not use SNESoid?
SNES9X is the only other option really other then SNESoid. But I like all of the "oid" emulators the best.
SNESoid seems to have disappeared from the market :-/

Hello guys,
Is there any emulators i can use on my G5 to play some classic games like the old Pokemon, Mario, Sonic, Golden Axe etc? If so where can i find them?
Thank you
Pretty sure it works for most android phones

> Search (Emulators) should show a bunch of systems people have made for our phones.

Hope that helps.

Thank you so much!
Searching the name of the game then ROM should work like "Pokemon Emerald ROM" or the console then ROM like "GBA ROMs" that should work well or http://www.romfind.com/ to search for ROMs.
hey i download the roms from here http://www.emuparadise.me/ and i found all i was looking for
on th slideme market there tons of emulators and apps to find roms

I got a few from slideme.org from a developer named yongzh. Here's his page:
https://slideme.org/user/yongzh
I've tested all of the emulators except for N64oid. They all run very smoothly. It's even better when you use the Wii classic controller or a Sixaxis.
I also tried the two Playstation emulators on the Android Market - FPse and PSX4Droid. Both run slow depending on the game, but FPse is better. The only game I tried was Tombi, which was playable, but is overall slow.

Depends on the device as well.
FPse runs about 50-61 fps on my droid incredible.
Any game and all I have played have caused no slowness.
It's hard to play since I only have a few HW buttons and multi-touch registers only two touchs. A third touch is canceled out.
N64oid runs.. decent... Around 10-20 fps. Depends on the games too, Zelda runs kinda smooth but the sound crackle kills it.
Mario party is merely unplayable and Mario64 is super smooth.

at some point when i get time, I want to try playing some games on the LapDock. No..I'm not going to install linux games, I want to try playing games like GTAIII full screen from the mobile view from android, and hopefully get the controls working with the keyboard and a mouse.
I'm just wondering if anyone has done the same and had any luck with that or not?
playing some of those FPS games like Modern Combat would be fun with a kb/m
Unfortunately playing Android games on Webtop is not the best way since Webtop is not accelerated at all, so you'll experience stuttering. Also controls are not passed through the Webtop interface, so onscreen touch controls are unusable while on Webtop.
What you need is Landscape HDMI mirroring. Search the forums for this hack. This way you will be able to passthrough the accelerated video to your TV and use the onscreen controls on your Atrix. Unfortunately this will not be possible to use while on the Lapdock.
Cheers,
Rayan

OnLive
Have you considered the OnLive app? Using their (and possibly other's) controllers, you may be able to play games well enough. YMMV.
so this is interesting...

I havent tried it on the lapdock since the day I posted this,so I wonder if the keyboard would work now. I remember it being laggy tough.
But gaming on the lapdock with an external mouse would be bad ass
EDIT:
once we get ICS,this app should help,no?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.poke64738.usbjoy&hl=en
Ive confirmed that GTAIII does indeed work with the keyboard now, WASD will move which is the main thing, AD will steer a car but WS will not gas/brake it, but the arrow keys work. Basically you can drive with one hand for gas and brake and the other to steer, works pretty well. I havent tried shooting anyone yet, still early in my gas with a pistol.
I noticed that the game plays pretty smooth if you leave the game windowed, but once you make it full screen, it starts to lag.
Modern Combat 3, and Hot Pursuit do not support keyboards or mice. I think all FPS games at least should support it.
I am playing n64 games with a wii controller on my lapdock since I got my hands on the paranoid ROM.
My general gaming procedure goes like this:
Reboot to tablet mode.
Sync with wii controller using WiimoteController App
put phone in lapdock
start n64 emulator (Mupen 64 plus AE - not available on the market atm. google it!)
play n64 game of choice (e.g. : Star Wars Racer, Super smash bros,...)
the great thing with the emulator is that I can map any button to any function so playing with the Lapdock keyboard also works.
If anyone can get the wireless xbox 360 controller to work (using the usb adapter) please tell me
Just recently purchased a PS3 controller after sir_earl was able to emulate native gamepad support in his Sixaxis app. After using it very successfully with my Prime, I find that I am pretty much only playing games with gamepad support. Currently I rotate back and forth between GTA III, Shadowgun THD, Riptide GP, and Cordy. How about anyone else? Please list any and all games with native gamepad support. Also, and someone please correct me if I'm wrong, if a game has Xperia Play support then it will also respond as if it has the same aforementioned gamepad support. And if a mod deems it worthy enough I could see this being pinned at the top. I promise to have it nicely formatted.
I would like to keep this list to only games people have actually tested in person. Thanks.
Complete Compatibility
Grand Theft Auto III (Rockstar Games)
Shadowgun THD (MADFINGER Games)
Riptide GP (Vector Unit)
Shine Runner (Vector Unit)
Cordy (Silver Tree Mediahttps://market.android.com/developer?pub=SilverTree+Mediahttps://market.android.com/developer?pub=SilverTree+Media
Sleepy Jack (Silver Tree Mediahttps://market.android.com/developer?pub=SilverTree+Mediahttps://market.android.com/developer?pub=SilverTree+Media)
Reckless Racing HD (polarbit)
Reckless Racing 2 (polarbit)
Sonic CD (SEGA of America)
Sonic 4: Episode 1 (SEGA of America)
Jett Tailfin Racers THD (NVIDIA Tegra Partners)
Canabalt HD (Kittehface Software)
Gunman Clive (Bertil Hörberghttps://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Bertil+Hörberg)
Another World (DotEmu)
Somewhat Compatible
Muffin Knight (Angry Mob Games)
You can add Sleepy Jack and Shine Runner to that list. I've also been looking around for games that have native gamepad support. Some work, but not very well.
Sonic CD works great with gamepad.
Both are working with Gamepad
Reckless Racing HD (polarbit)
Reckless Racing 2 (polarbit)
Basically any good emulator will have gamepad support. I still use the oid series but finding them troublesome on 4.0. Fpse is an obvious choice for a sixaxis controller as well.
If you can map your gamepad buttons to android keyboard input there's a lot of games you're able to control. For example many work with the xperia play layout. e.g. Sonic 4 Episode 1. Also the non tegra version of Samurai II works this way.
Then for other games like Zenonia series, there is a specific layout, that can be found in the web.
I was really hoping gameloft would jump on this sooner or later. Their games suffer the most from touch only controls imho. They screem for gamepad support^^
Somewhat a pity that you cannot use Gamepads on the Riptide GP Demo. As in "test if your controller is compatible before purchasing".
Along with this can we also get a list of emulators?

If you're willing to do a short write up that is easy and clear to understand, I would love to host/format it and add it to the list under an appropriate header.

Sure thing. The only emulator I've used so far is N64oid, which requires a touch profile in Sixaxis and therefore doesn't meet the standards this list requires. Remember though, I only want to add games/emulators that have actually been tested and verified to work natively, no workarounds.

It really is a well done game. I was hesitant at first because racing games in general have never been my thing, but then I saw it was done by the same people who made Hydro Thunder, and I used to play the hell out of that game in the arcades growing up.
What controller are you trying to use with it?

The emulator scene on the Android Market seems to be fairly fluid. Sometimes a bunch of them get taken down, and other replace them. Just search in the market and go for the highest ranked one for the emulator du jour.

R3? As in clicking in the right analog stick? That's upsetting. It would obviously be way better if it were one of the four main buttons. Oh well. I know Muffin Knight has sort of worked for me, and similar to Sonic's R3 it uses the "Up" button to jump instead of a face button. I ended up making a touch profile because it just works better.
I'll add it to the list though. I guess that means Sonic 4 works as well?
Jett Tailfin Racers THD came out today. I've had my eye on this one in the Tegra Market since January as it promised Mario Kart-style play with native controller support. Haven't heard any opinions on it yet though.
this thread is now linked in my sticky thread. The Official Tegra3/Prime Gamer's Thread. help the op build up this list if games you come across meet guidelines in his op. this lists, especially mines, aren't easy to put together. I only use the prime tablet itself for my list. very long sessions of copy n paste..lol. my dock will be here soon though.
Personal testing has shown me that both recently released Canabalt HD and Gunman Clive have full native gamepad support.
However, the two games are listed as only having specifically Xperia Play Optimization/Support (though Gunman Clive says it has support for other input methods, but doesn't list them). Gunman Clive, in particular, has an options screen similar to Shadowgun THD where you edit the controls by clicking on whichever gamepad button you prefer to use. Very nice.
What I would like to take away from this is that Xperia Play Optimization means native gamepad support exists to some extent. It may not be full support, however, so I would categorize it along with Muffin Knight if the implementation is not ideal. Please test any Xperia Play Optimized games you might already have with your controller and let me know the results. Thanks.
Alright folks, I spent my afternoon installing and testing games. All tested using a ps3 controller (and yes, I have an app purchasing problem. As far as vices go, it could be worse). If I get time over the weekend, I'll try some more games.
Full Support
Eve of Genesis HD: Yes, Square works as the confirm button, L1 pulls up the menu. Works well.
Edge: Yes!
Edge Extended: Yes!
Overkill: Yes, you might have to disable the back key in the options, though. Otherwise firing would make the game exit for me. Otherwise, worked great.
Pac-Man Championship Edition: Yes!
Radiant HD: Everything works, even switching weapons.
Samuraii Vengence II: It technically works, but the button mapping on the ps3 is terrible. You have to use select and start to attack, with clicking the right stick to roll.
Symphony of Eternity: Yes, Square works as the confirm button, L1 pulls up the menu. Works well.
Zen Pinball: Yes, you can control the flippers. Haven't figured out how to launch the ball, but being able to use the flippers is good enough, IMO.
Zenonia 3: Yes. I would assume 4 as well, but haven't verified yet.
Partial
Final Space: Can control the ship, but no button will fire
Doodle Jump: Menus work, but the game is obviously built for tilt control
Impossible: Jump works, but no way to set progress flag.
R-Type: You can control the ship with d-pad or left analog, but no button fires. Playable if you set the option to auto fire.
Reckless Getaway: Almost perfect. Car controls great, but no way to use special pickups other than tapping on the screen.

how you get gta3 to work properly with controller. my controller can move the character around but the buttons don't do anything. plus I didn't where to map actual hardware controller buttons in gt3 settings.
with gunman Clive, my controller works but the button for jump is merged with shoot. so i can shoot by pressing a button and if I press the button for jump, it jumps and shoots at the same time..lol
