Hey all,
I'm trying to change the MTU on the Nook Color to a size compatible with the Motorola Triumph (1472). I found generic android instructions, but they attempt to modify wlan0, and when I try that I get "no such device."
Can anyone tell me how to alter the MTU on this? Currently running Phiremod, but will fall back to a stock Android build if needed.

Hi.
I am trying to get a VPN connection at my University.
Unfortunately, the normal VPN does not connect nor the VPNC on this website:
http://code.google.com/p/get-a-robot-vpnc/
I installed the app, but no connection is possible although the settings should be correct.
I found the tun.ko which is for tunneling in Froyo I believe.
But how do i install this?
insmod does deliver an error message:
"error inserting tun.ko: -1 Invalid module format"
I'm new to Android, but I've been trying to get OpenVPN working on my new Bionic, which also requires tun.ko. From what I've found so far, you have to have a tun.ko built for the version of the Android kernel you are using, so you can't just take any tun.ko you find and get it to work. It also looks like tun.ko is often compiled with many non stock Android builds, such as Cyanogen. I'm stuck waiting, but depending on what Android build you have, you may be able to find the right one.

Hi
I have a MK802 II. Unfortunately my TV seems to have issue with 720p, it works perfectly on 576p. ICS is set to boot into 720p and so I would have all the time after booting to revert through the setting applet to 576p. Is there any way (a config file? a kernel option?) to have the OS start by default in 576p?
anyone?

Hey guys,
I've got questions about changing MAC on GB. Is there any way to do this?
On ICS I did that by busybox ifconfig or ip link set.
But I want to change to GB - Spartan v.2.2.0 ROM because of battery tweaks and performance, and here any of this methods aren't working.
When I turn off wifi it's suddenly gone by device. I tried to check by ifconfig -a or ip link show. But it's just doesn't be here...
I need to change, because I've got MAC block on my AP (it's from provider, so I don't want to change anything - in summer I'm going to buy router and configure it by myself).
Any advices guys?
Regards.
I managed to successfully & manually (using HEX editing) change the MAC address on an MTK Android
i have now got a new Snapdragon 801 android 4.4.2 phone, and the system structure is totally different.
Any idea how to permanently change IP address manually by editing config files, without using any apps?
Thanks
My phone provider recently enabled IPv6 for data users.
https://www.google.fr/amp/s/www.bbo...en-ipv6-sur-mobile-avec-bouygues-telecom/amp/
in short, it says to edit APN settings and alter the PROTOCOL setting.
I see this setting on Android 7 on Oukitel (K6000 Plus), but not on Android 4.4 (HTC One M8).
Android 4.4 does show full IPv6 connectivity on wifi, and presents a LinkLocal IP on rmnet0.
Since rmnet0 has a LL, what's the trick to enable IPv6 discovery ? is it a limitation on Android 4.4 ? Is there a hidden setting I can tweak with am/pm/adb ? my phone is rooted. In example, on a classic Linux, I would try to echo 1 somewhere in /sys ....
If absolutely required, but I would like to avoid this method, I can put my Bouygues Sim card on the Android 7 phone to write down the IP and gateway, to manually set them on the HTC; not sure it would work; Android usually dislikes when I do this kind of workarounds ...
