I haven't bought a Galaxy Ace yet. But I'll buy it within a couple of days. However I have a question.
Suppose I have XWKPN rooted & deodexed on my Ace. If I install App 2 SD (move app to SD) directly from the Android Market will it work on Ace?
Cause I've seen many are discussing about it. (CF-Root/ClockWorkMOD etc etc)

Ive just flashed to CM7 and i've just noticed something. It doesn't have the android market on it and because of that how can i restore all my apps and stuff?
i used titanium backup pro when i had darky's rom installed.
i'm abit noob sorry if this doesnt make sence
Edit: I'm using a samsung Galaxy s I9000
You could just install the market - see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1328860 or you could flash one of these (according to your device/firmware - http://goo-inside.me/gapps/).
I have flashed cyanogen mod 9 on my sgs2. I love the rom. I know it's a weird question, but does anyone know where or how to install both samsung app store and samsung music hub? Are the apk's available from anywhere?
You can't on cm9, install the samsung ics rom if you want samsung apps.
Thank you for the info. Sacrificing those two things is well worth having cm9. I was thinking it was as simple as installing the apks - I assume it needs samsung framework to run
Hi All,
Sorry in advance if I have either posted this in the wrong forum or if this question has been asked many times before (I have searched the forum).
I just got a Samsung Galaxy S III on T-Mobile UK. Previously I had the Orange San Francisco with CyanogenMod, the Nexus 1 with CyanogenMod and an Archos 101G9 with stock ICS.
I rooted the device fine and then started to uninstall some apps which were pre-installed using the app removal tool within Titanium Backup. I then noticed that many of the stock android apps like calendar and email were not there. Instead, there is different email app and a calendar app called 'S Planner'.
I then installed the Omega Rom which had less apps which were pre-installed but I still had the problem were the basic google apps like email and calendar were still not there. I also noticed that the normal android sounds and keyboard were not part of this Rom.
I there a rom out there for my phone which is just basic android ICS? The less apps pre-installed, the better. Is CyanogenMod9 stable enough? The reason I like CyanogenMod is that they provide a list of the APKs which can safely be removed.
Thanks,
Dan
What about the blackstar aosp rom?

Hey guys as im looking for a more smoother experience on my phone, im thinking of downloading a custom rom such as cyanogen rom which removes all unnecessary bloatware. However im wondering is it possible to keep the stock samsung apps :dialer, planner and memo e.g. is there somewhere I can download these apps and flash them?
Thanks
No. These apps don't work on non samsung roms. Samsung roms exist with bloatware removed.
Please don't ask questions in general. That's what q&a is for

Hi guys and girls.
I have a galaxy ace 3 and it will not remember the default application to open links, pictures, videos etc after reboot. This has been a problem for quite some time now but I seem to remember this fault occurring after I used the option to clear default apps through the settings menu. Its on the stock rom with android version 4.2.2, has never seen any other rom and un rooted (for now).
Hope someone can help
Steve
