Hello all,
I finally gave it a go and unlocked the bootloader and rooted my Atrix.
I threw on the Alien rom-
I ran into a few problems... the camera and camcorder aren't functioning. (Auto force close when trying to open application)
I also lost root access. (bummer!)
Is there anyway I can fix these issues?
If not can I just revert it back to original 2.3.4 stock if possible?
Thank you all for any advice!
Search the dev forum for samcripp's Fruit Cakes thread and install the 4.5.91 zip via Recovery. It's way safer than using RSF to flash an SBF.

So when I got my Atrix first I installed the Gingerblur and rooted it successfully but after that I installed 2.3.4 and now it is not rooted and I can't install CWM Recovery also... When I tried to install CWM the fastboot screen gives me a error like stormgr partition: SOS... How am I going to solve this problem ?? thanks for everyone...

Do you have unlock bootloader? Everytime your boot it show up a tag upper left corner "Unlocked" ?
If the answer is YES, I can help you to install both root and cwm at once.
yes my phone is unlocked
-Edit: Actually I want to change my ROM to CherryBlur... but I wonder about the Hardbrick.. My rom is now 2.3.4 HKTW and do you think I can change my ROM to Cherry Blur safely??
If you are already unlocked flash the cwm recovery then the cherry blur rom. (same one I'm rocking).
Look in the development forum for both links.

GingerBlur has nothing wrong with it, but you would imo be better to unlock your bootloader and head on over to GB like most of us and get some of the goodness from the work the devs are doing for it.

Thanks for the info and that sucks things were easier before I updated to gingerbread. Ok so if I unlock my bootloader and something goes wrong down the road can I restore it back to factory so it can be sent in for repairs
Hi,
I want to unlock the bootloader, but in the n00b guide everything is for 2.3.4
I am in 2.2.2 (4.2.11.retail.en.FR) and I tried to update in the settings but it told me that my device is updated.
So, how can i update to 2.3.4? I want to updated with the Stock Gingerbread Rom via fastboot. But i need to have the bootloader unlocked....
How can I do it?
Thank you
You should be able to flash any sbf. Seeing as how the only way you brick is by going backwards. Look on that forum again and there is a link to a seperate website which will tell you how to do it on either version.

So I've read the instructions 10 times over for how to get from my current state to installing CM7.
Two questions:
Do I have to install a 2.3.4 SBF then unlock/root then install the rom? Or can I unlock my 1.8.3 and proceed to install CM7?
Second, in the IHOP thread, it seems I should be flashing the 2.3.4 SBF with pudding/root already included. But those links are down. Where can I download the needed SBF to flash?
Thanks!
Just flash the unlock SBF. you dont need to update.

Does it matter if I'm currently on greyblur and my phone thinks it's on the one before 1.8.3?
