Googled for this extensively, found so many conflicting answers.
I'm writing a free app to publish on the Google Play market. In the app, on the about page, I have a PayPal donate button that simply acts as a web link to the PayPal donate page for my merchant account. The donation will be STRICTLY voluntary, and will not unlock ANY new functionality. I've also emailed Google to ask them, but I don't expect a reply anytime soon. Any idea if we're allowed to do this? I know the Google Play T&C state that you cant charge for a free app by doing an in-app donate to a PayPal (or any other) payment gateway, but since this is a purely voluntary non-mandatory donation LINK, wouldn't it be okay?
I hate to bump a post, but I still need some info regarding this - anyone have any ideas?

My chinese friend here in San Francisco told me about this app and it comes with free 36tb of cloud storage and it also means free 36,000gb storage! There is an Android app but it is in chinese. On chrome it translate it in English but the android app is chinese, he is showed it to me just an hour ago and translate the writing in english, but I hope we can edit the app's apk and make it english so I can let my relatives and friends know about it.
Is there any Chinese developer here that can probably edit this app and change it to english???

Sorry, could not help about the translating the software, but want to share my opinions.
I can explain a little bit those xxTB or (unlimited) cloud storage, especially those in China, there are many provides now
. They are mostly for share big media files like movies, so all the users store files with same content will have only one copy in server side.
. If you really want upload your personal files to that server, you will find the upload speed is very slow, and you don't have any privacy. Also the security is poor, when many chinese website got hacked and showed that their account password is stored nearly plain text.
. Also, the fiber-optical connection from US to China is another bottle neck, make the connection speed even slower.
. And not reliable, (you should not save your important files in cloud as only backup anyway), but basically they can close your account / shutdown server whenever they want.
So, basically, for my self, I find the local (mean US) dropbox, google drive etc is enough for me to host some files. I just used them for convenience, so upload/download speed is most important. 10GB probably is more than enough for me. These are more reliable service IMO.

Here is a brilliant app idea, i want to share among community. Because after some research, i didnt find any similar app in google play and found it interesting to share this app idea among xda community.
Actually i was looking for a app which can share wifi at public places for free but in different way as follows.
So, I have some mobile data left for today and my data will renew after few hours. So what if i can share my data and get some credit for shared data from that user A/c.
So i ll open wifi share app in my phone and anyone having installed that app can use my shared wifi. But here he need to have some credits for free wifi access.
Developer can give option to convert credit into cash or other way exchange.
So, when i go next time at public place, i can find many free wifi open.
App features:
- authenticate the user to grant access to free wifi
- credit is reduced once user is connected
- conversation rate may be 1 MB = 1 credit
- user can convert excess credit to real cash or can use credit to access for next when they visit public place.
- shows no of user on particular wifi & bandwidth and usage limit
So, finally user can exchange wifi through the comman app.
What is your opinion with regards to this idea ?
I had a slightly similar idea as you have for the app. But I'm just a novice programmer and it was quite difficult for me to implement it. In the course of development I have all the time there were problems and bugs. I thought about hiring professional programmers because I saw the future success of the application and the fact that it should at least pay off. But since I was still studying, I didn't have a full-time job and couldn't pay for programmers, and my parents and friends didn't really believe in my idea. It's good that these guys paydayinusa they believed in me and I was able to finally implement my project. So guys never give up and go for your goals.
