The new player is pretty good. At this point i like it better than what I was using before. I am having one issue at this point though. I am unable to change the album artwork. That and updating artist and song info.
Anyone know how to do this?

Do you mean the "connected music player" that comes with MotoBlur?
If it's that, just look for that name on google, and you'll most likely find it ( that's what I did at least )
Thanks a lot... That makes my life a lot easier...

Hi,
I was wondering if there were a better music player for my SGS2 as the stock one is really awful with tags. But I would really like to keep using it, because it displays controls in a notification and on the lock screen, so I'm a bit confused...
Is there any app that displays controls the same way? Or is there any mod of the stock app that better handle tags?
Thanks, and sorry for my poor English
PowerAmp allows editing of tags and has a lockscreen widget. Give it a try!
I know that one and have already purchased it, but I find the stock unlocker pretty good even if it has its own defaults, so I'd like not to change it if it's possible accordingly to what I want :/
Another solution would be to find a software or application that uses the same tags as the stock music player so it wouldn't be messy anymore

I'm afraid this is probably not possible; the RAZR's music player requires the MOTOBLUR frameworks. And, while it does sound great (the best sounding music player I've used), it's stability is atrocious - I've about 10GB of music between SD and internal, which is reasonably large (but not huge), and just scrolling through songs is enough to cause the app to freeze and reset.
Ah that's a shame I love the lyrics thing and song recommendations

I ripped Apollo music out of cm9 as I liked it... and I'm now on aokp.
However I have an interesting issue. Some of the music I copied from my computer to my phone shows 3 copies. Only some. Its mostly only with full albums...
I wouldn't have too much of an issue if the extra copies weren't pointers to random songs. Its not the same song each time either... which is really frustrating.
Anyone have any ideas?

Yup, I agree its the best one I've used so far
Have you tried doubletwist? It's not too bad.
I like Google Play Music the best because the interface looks really snazzy and the homescreen widget looks good next to the other stock ICS widgets. The cloud sync features are also pretty useful.
Player pro or Poweramp. I use Poweramp.
I use the Poweramp, but i like the winamp too.
I'm fairly certain by now I've tried them all and not one was even close to as useful as Poweramp. I bought it because I liked it that much!
It's packed full of useful options and features, hard to avoid this one!
Ironically, the best music player I've found was the stock one in CM9 before they switched to Apollo.
Aside from that, I'd recommend poweramp, just don't expect any support for it. Last I checked their support forums was full of spam and hadn't seen any non-newb questions getting answered in months.
Poweramp because it's equalizer remains the best. Player Pro's eq isn't a good in my opinion but it is still a solid player.
I like n7player
