Anyone having issues with Drocap taking pics strictly with a blood red tinge to it? I've tried several roms from vipers to supra and steel with no luck. I am just looking for a solution because I haven't found one yet. Thanks in advance.
That's a setting you have to uncheck in drocap
Hrmm that simple eh? Going to check it now

No luck. I have tried every possible combination of capture mode, pic format, and Swap endian just too have another red tinge pic. I'm stumped.
For future reference Screenshot It Trial worked just fine and is the only one that worked for me. I will definitely buy this app.

hi there guys,
i wanted to know if there's a fix for the white balance issue when using the flast on the sgs2, as many users pointed out the photos tend to have a bluish / greeinish tint, i would say on the skin especially...
we know that the issue comes from the fact that the led produces a bluish/greenish tint in fact since that's the very "characteristic" of the LED, but it should be fixed via software, in fact some other guys suggested to take pics with flash, then go via software and change the color temperature, which indeed will work however is one more step to do.
if i do not use the flash photos look actually quite good for being a phone!
any brillian minds on this?
thanks
gabrio

Someone noted that you could change the picture mode to something like Movie, Vibrant or natural etc. Not sure of the actual names but i would love to know how to do this. I googled it but came up with nothing lol. When i was comparing a few Netflix movies to my GF's new iPad last night the skin tones looked really pinkish red compared to the more natural realistic look on the iPad. I love Sammy's punchy colors, but when viewing movies or videos id love to know how to make the colors more natural.
So is this possible just like how i can change the picture mode on my Samsung Plasma?
I believe that option is only available on international version.

Dammit! I figured . Oh well, i mean don't get me wrong for most of the time i love Sammy's punchy colors but there is times where id prefer a more "calibrated" realistic picture on the media i am viewing.
It is. I tried it a few days ago on the att version..it did nothing

Changing display mode to vibrant, standard and movie is available on int. version, but not on the one from at&t. But it wouldn't help your pinkish tint even if that feature was available... it appears to be a hardware (d)effect of some screens.
You may want to try Screen Adjuster app, if you haven't already. It can fix your tint issue at the cost of washing out the vibrant colors, a bit...
I think the OP is referring to a comment I made in another thread. I honestly don't know what's going on, but I know for a fact that I was able to change the video settings on my U.S.-spec Note. I was watching Netflix vids and I was comparing the video quality of the Note to my EVO 3D and iPod touch. I don't know how I did it, but I stumbled across a setting to change the playback video mode. Three options came up... I selected all three options to see if there was any difference. I remember thinking how cool it was that an option like that had been included. I have checked the settings of my other two devices, and neither of them let you do it, either. So I don't know if there was some strange update to my phone or Netflix that coincidentally happened over the last 48 hours, but I know I'm not making this all up. It's really frustrating because I have no way of knowing how I accessed that feature.
For everyone experiencing the yellow tint issue who either don't want to or can't service their handset for whatever reason, try this as a temporary measure. Works for me.

The yellow tint doesn't bother me enough to want to send it in but the tint sometimes becomes distracting enough to irritate me. Especially so when reading off the browser or an ebook reader. This app allows me to apply a filter to the screen and I've managed to adjust the color to a point where the tint becomes barely visible. The link is to the free version but there's an ad free version as well. Just play with the settings and see what works for you. I'd expect everyone experiencing the issue to require different settings to mask the imperfections.
Hope this helps some of you out there.

The .73 firmware should fix the screen color temperature issue. They made it less warm in terms of color.
Yup. I saw your mention on the other thread but I'm already on. 73 and it's still yellow. Good to know that Sony's taking measures though.

Actually, I am noticing the yellow tint since I installed .73..
What regiion .73 do you have?
One of trickes I use that my friend here told me is massaging that part of the screen and yellow tint goes away. I have found this to be temporary but works better than the rest.

Yeah, I just updated mine to .73 too, color still looks the same. Don't see a difference in temp. It was from Asia's firmware note. Anyone tried the SG? I'm on US firmware, so nothing from here. I do see a much better response on the buttons though. Mine had a little lag before, but now it's instant.

There are plenty of SG users on .73 firmware, who still have the yellow tint issue.

So, I think you guys are much more lucky than me. I am in Viet Nam, and I bought XPS in Hong Kong. Now I saw yellow tints but can't go to Hong Kong to change it nor I think Sony Viet Nam would repair it for me. That's bored of such a big company like Sony. It's their fault of manufacture and lot of people have the same issue, they should replace or repair it with global warranty not only specific region though

Hi. I think screen shots won't be necessary as my settings are pretty straightforward. Under "color", I set all 3 bars close to the left so I get a dark gray. For "alpha", my bar is on the left - somewhere between a third or a quarter of the way. FYI, I keep the filter on all the time. My (system) screen brightness is set to about 77 when I'm outdoors.
Do play around with the levels till you're satisfied though. I don't think a one-size-fits-all configuration is possible.

guys,i went to the assistance and in 2 days they give me a NEW Xperia S
On my Evo LTE, the front facing camera takes photos with a strong red tint. When I change from Auto white balance to something like incandescent, it is better, but has a slight blue tint. It does this whether we are indoors or outdoors. My wife and I were trying to use my new phone to take some pics of us sitting outside, and we ended up having to use her Evo 3d. The back camera is perfect, and does not have this issue. I may run to a Sprint store and compare mine to one they have on display. Just curious if anyone else has noticed this.
Anyone? I tried another camera app and had the same severe red tint.

Can you drop down the saturation a notch or two? Doing that for the back camera solved all of my red-tint issues and photos look amazing now. HTC should adjust the default.
EDIT: Saturation -1 is what my camera is set to and photos look great, both front and back.
The problem though is the regular camera looks perfect. No red tint at all. Even when I drop the saturation down, the front camera still has a red tint. I have a feeling I have a bad phone.

Mine is has an orange/red tint that comes and goes....are you fully stock?
I'm rooted, but haven't installed any custom Roms. It did this before root. I just hate to have my phone replaced a second time (first one had dead pixels).
EDIT: I had thought it did this before root, but evidently it did not.

Having this issue too. Wasn't always like this.
Edit: Question. Did you edit your build.prop to get Google Wallet working?
I just noticed this red tint today only on the forward facing camera. And I just modified the build.prop today for the google wallet fix. Gonna play with putting that back to test.
Edit: yup. Putting the stock build.prop back in place, and forward facing camera is back to normal.
Does anyone know why build.prop effects this?
Its the saturation on the front camera. Turn it down 1 and it will help the red tint immensely.

This completely fixed my problem!!!! Yes, I had edited my build.prop to fix Google Wallet and completely forgot about it. I changed it back and BAM (after rebooting)! If I could thank you twice for this I would. Thanks man! Now I am off to go kick myself. I really hate when I cause my own problems LOL! Well, maybe this thread will at least help one other person with this issue. If so, then it wasn't all in vain.
Edit: Thinking back on this, I thought the problem happened before I rooted, but I guess I was wrong since it is working now.

No. I am back to getting the error that the device is not supported. I know that in one of the Wallet workaround threads they say how to change your build.prop back without affecting this, but not sure if that really works or not. I am just going to wait for the official fix on it I think.
In case you guys haven't SEEN THIS yet. You can restore your build.prop back to stock.
I am having this problem now. Running Viper, with enoch kernel. I never modified the build.prop file though. I am guessing it was pre modified or the kernel may be the issue. What settings did you change in build.prop?
Edit: disregard, the edits are the ro device names. Fairly easy and works
I was using my galaxy tab 10.1 and my s3 was lying beside it. A message came. I was eager to know who was it. I opened it, the message said that my friend was ill, i was a little disappointed, during my sad time, my eyes turned to my tab, and what did i saw, i couldnt beleive my eyes. I had never seen such a thing, i felt dissy for a moment, i went and took some cold water, i relaxed for a moment, than decided to spend some time out, met my friends, but still during the night i had nigtmares of what i saw, it seems i was going to get swallowed in the white.....
Ok lets cut the story straight, no drama, the screen seems to have a yellowish tint, white doesnt seem to look so good... Plz help me out i cannot sleep....

Anyone that uses Siyah kernel can tell something about screen enhancement? Is it the same thing you can do with Screen Adjuster or better?
