Hi
I have Rooted my Optimus p500 with official 2.3.3 update, Installed Rom manager and also Recovery from Rom Manager (Clockwork Mod) & i have franco.Kernel.v1-16082011 installed
I'm also using Set Cpu and have set it to 729mhz
Now i want to know whether these are the best setting that i can have to play HD games?? (PES 2011 is still laagy)
Do i have to Install a ROM?, If yes; Which one and how? (Which is the best gaming Rom compatible to my phone ?
are there any baseband problems ??? (as i have the official 2.3.3 update )
Do i have to install an other kernel ??

So far the most positive reactions and most stability has been Wolfbreaks CM3.16 v6.
Well worth it.
The best so far the most stable whit awesome battery life freex10 beta 4 have been on it since a good while and you can add cm settings by flashing it via xrecovery so you can add some tweaks ;p

To update wolfbreak 4.0 to 4.1 do i just flash 4.1? and which kernel would be better to use? zKernel or tkymgrkernel?
thanks in advance
You can just install the zip file in x-recovery over the top. I haven't played around with the custom kernels yet so I can't comment on that...

Just flash it over the top, no need to wipe anything.
If you dont need OC and UV better use stock kernel. Stable, no issues, fps uncapped.
But if you need a stable OC/UV i recommended freekernel 4.0 by tkymgr, but custom kernel still need a time to develop to be more benefits than stock.
So far i prefer stock kernel since custom kernel still give us little benefits.

Where can I download the Wolfbreak 4.0 ?!?!?!?!
You can find it under the android development section. Its a custom ROM so you need to have rooted your phone to use. All the instructions on what to do are there... enjoy.

Better yet, the OP could try underclocking. Nothing like running an Intel i7 at 386SX speeds. Global warming, eat your heart out!

The answers posted thus far are wrong.
I'm order to overclock you need to flash a custom kernel that supports it.
I recommend trying one of dooms kernels.
You then use set CPU to control the freq.
I would recommend leaving it around 1100 mhz, that is fine and won't harm your device at all.
You also will notice big performance gain but very little battery change!
I tried using CPU Manager.. SETCPU..But I cannot overclock my x10..
I flashed miui on my custom Wolf v6 rom..
Can someone guide me in this. I might be doing something wrong..
Pls help..

Like I just said you can't overclock the stock kernel!
Go to the dev forum and flash doomskernel for locked bootloaders!
Then you'll be able to overclock

Try Stock Rom with x kernel.
x kernel is the best kernel for performance and good battery backup.

for x kernel
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/28961326/kernel/kernel_smultron-v4.zip
for wifi fix. flash this file via CWM

yes. that blurring camera problem is because of using ICS and ICS will reduce the performance and battery life.
try hybrom v15 or latest stock GB rom with x kernel. better performance and better battery backup
I have rage kernel 3.2 [ICS] and cm 9.1 bt got stuck in bootloop is any one have the solution?'
plz suggest another kernel(s)[with more governors and rom(s) better than this
(cm 9.1 drains too much battery and ram consumption is more i.e slow in loading apps )
sorry if i hurt anyone
device - st15i
rom - ics 4.0.4
kernel - fxp (dnt knw the version)

those rom which has a kernel included in the zip means u have to use that kernel. roms that do not have kernel in zip can be used with compatible kernel depending on the base of the rom
