Ohk, took me hours to do this. (And I'm not saying it hasn't been done before idk if it has, I'm also not taking credit for making anything)
This is more or less most likely a necro bump.
Take EF kernel, go to, newest PBJ Kernel, 8/4/11, than go to, OTB Reloaded 1.3 Kernel. I haven't tried the other 1.6 yet.
If links are needed, let me know.
But, my EF is running at 1.6GHz very smoothly. Normal wipe cache and dalvik.
Again idk if this had been done before, but it was hard to put the posts together into one stable piece.
Also, XDA and the Dev's and myself aren't liable for any damages to your phone.
Are screen shots needed, let me know. Questions, PM.
Again, this has most likely already been done, I'm just making it aware cause of how far down the threads I had to travel.

Oh yeah and btw, the recovery stays at PBJ 8/4/11 and you keep the OC to 1.6GHz. :-D

i'm just curious, because i've been interested in overclocking my Vibrant to 1.6, even 1.2, and i KNOW you can overclock it to 1.2 right now, but here's the problem.
i have the Auxura 2.05, and on top of that, i'm using the new and updated BlackFroyo. it works great, but i'm having a hard time figuring out how to use Auxura 2.05, BlackFroyo, and the Core 1.2GHZ from TeamWhiskey all at the same time. if there is a way, can anyone please enlighten me? i would really like to put this into effect.

Why don't you use one of eugenes kernels? Seem to work fine on most 2.2 roms.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
The core kernels only work with 2.1 roms.
Yeah like the last poster said the core kernels were/are for 2.1. If your registered at TW website they have a 1.2 ghz kernel in the forums. Brahma. Im not sure we have a perfectly stable fully operational 1.2 kernel yet. TW hasn't done anything with Brahma in a little while and Eugene has pulled some of his. If you're using Axura I would just use the voodoo kernel in the OP for now. I have been all week and its pretty solid. Good performance and battery.

Went from fjd to bionix-v today phone was oc'd but now setcpu won't let me oc bionix-v . Am I having an app problem or can you not oc it?
Sent from my Atomic Vibrant using XDA App
No its not...yet. Once the 2.2 source is released then team whiskey can go to work on building kernels that can oc/uv.
you can overclock with there dow kernels. it overclocks to 1.4 ghz and the phone is amazing fast but the kernel is based on gti9000 so the battery wont last long like 8-10 hrs on standby. but it still has voodoo patched into it so its crazy fast.
heres a link:

TW released a new OC today and they said it supports bionix mainly.
Its called power something look in development section

I didn't want to point him on that direction. I was assuming he was fairly new and the overclocking kernels can cause issues on some vibrants.

Yeah.....the dow is a little more than I want. Friggin quadrant score went from 880 to 2600... its very cool but not for me. Think ill search for something a little slower. Lol

I don't blame you. Once the source code is released then the devs will work on building kernels. It will be worth the wait.

Bionix v 1.3! I have been using it moderately since 9:00 and it is now 12:10, only had time to charge it to 87 this morning. Now, 3 hours later; the battery is still at 76, so 11 percent with moderate usage. Amazing battery!! Would be on frost, but it didmt work very well on my phone for some reasons dn I love the black of bionix v

Both roms are fast, and have used both for at least 3 days(Trigger 2.6.2); both have excellent battery life.
I like Trigger's theme and look more.
BUT, Bionix 1.3 has 343mb Ram.
So, my vote goes to Bionix on that virtue.
Can't go wrong with either though
Trigger, with the OverStock Kernel = Heaven for me.
True...

To be fair, you can get 343mb on any rom you choose. It's the overstock kernel that allows the 343mb ram
With that said, choose which you like better

Right now I'm on Trigger. Bionix was my favorite, however I had some issues keeping connectivity to my company e-mail with it that I haven't had on Trigger. Otherwise, Bionix was fast and the battery life was amazing.
I have been using Bionix since Nero V and haven't encountered a problem yet. Yes Bionix. I tried Trigger once, i like them, but went back to Bionix.
does both ROMs support ffc?
Yes

I believe both do. I don't think what ROM you are using will affect the FFC if you have have SGSTool or something along the lines of that and other softwares you need on your phone for FFC.
Trigger, stable, fast, reliable. Add overStock to it and you will fall in love with your phone all over again, just like the day you got it! Plus, Birg makes sure the ROM gets only better and better with every release, just when you thought it doesn't get better than that!
Can't go wrong!

I've been running trigger for a few days now. It really is a top notch rom. Plus if you read thru the trigger thread you will see how much the devs help people out. Give it a shot you wont be sorry.

Ah, my bad. Didn't see that 2.6.4 has the option of Rom w/Overstock in 1 flash =)
This thread was kind of pointless. Of course people are going to choose what they currently run. If they didn't, why would they run it?
So, basically.... let's go ahead and sum up everyone's opinion on XDA. More people have downloaded and installed the Bionix series. Is this because it's been around longer? Possibly. Is it because Team Whiskey followers are persistent? Possibly.
I have personally tried both. I'm sticking to what I know and what I know are Team Whiskey's ROM's. Trigger is a machine though, I can assure you.
Happy choosing

You really need to try them both for looks and feel. What I like best may not look good to you. Flashing is a big part of the fun running a vibrant
Yea both a good!

bionix... its super fast, and looks so slick
The key here is the overstock kernel, you can flash either bionix, trigger, axura rom then flash the lastest overstock kernel over it. Then start kicking ass!
I flash overstock on top of axura, got a quarant score of 1839 and a neocore of 64.9.
I was a steady user of Bionix for quite sometime but I must say, Trigger has made a believer out of me. As it's been stated, the Overstock kernel will crank your phone up to 11 no matter which rom you use, but I dunno, Trigger just seems to hit a sweet spot for me.
Try them both, it's insanely easy to switch roms these days. Haven't ran into a bootloop or anything in ages.
Should I use fauxs or kholks?
Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk
Try them both and see what you like better. Changing kernels is easy. Personally, I've been using Faux's kernels since he released it, and I've never had any problems at all. But I haven't bothered trying Kholk's, so I can't compare them for you.
Anyway, like I said, changing kernels is quick and easy, you don't even have to wipe data like you do with ROMs (you DO need to wipe cache, but that's not really an inconvenience).

faux is pronounced "foe"
so.. it doesnt.
I've tried both. To me, Faux's has a bit more long-term stability. With Kholk's I had random reboots every few hours or so with or without UV. Haven't had that with Faux's, but it's not a common thing to have happen with either. I *have* to UV either one for them to work properly, but I also get similar scores with both of them at max clock speed.
Thanks for the feedback.I'm sticking with faux. Cm7 for the win.

I've installed the full GeeWiz Rom/Kernel on my Fascinate and I really like my phone now after a running stock for quite a while and being less than impressed.
My question. The phone is darn near perfect except for a little lag and so I thought I would try the voodoo lag fix. Is there a kernel as stable at the GeeWiz kernel that contains the lag fix? Could someone point me in the proper direction.
I've read quite a bit and must say that there are a lot of opinions and links out there but I can't quite seem to find what I am looking for.
thanks,
you have 2 options.. 1.6 otb fusion kernel or the 0808 pbj kernel. I recomend the pbj but not all phones can handle the undervolt...you will have to try it and see.
How do u install a voodoo Kernel on geewiz rom?

Pw 1. 2 and gee wiz 1. 1 with the gee wiz kernel is as close to perfection as you're gonna get with TW froyo. Otb is not stable enough and will make your camera crash most of the time. Most phones cannot handle the Uv on imnuts Pbj.
I ran pw 1. 2 with gee wiz kernel for 10 days without a single re boot or freeze. No bells and whistles but by far the most stable Rom I ran on this phone
PWGB,TKSGB10-15, adren shot xix honeycomb2.03, ec09 radio.
Pw rom I have random freezing on trail xteme2 and zombie killers..
Running gee wiz now..would like to install voodoo?

Download kernel to sd card. three finger into recovery, wipe cache, dalvik, install zip from sd. fyi there are guides all over this forum that explain this.

well you cant flash a froyo voodoo kenel on a gingerbread rom and vice versa. Thats most likely was your problem. In the op you posted geewiz 1.1.1, which is a froyo rom and I gave you a 2 froyo voodoo kernels that will work. Now you post saying the tks kernel flashed and booted fine meaning you are on geewiz 2.x ei20 gingerbread. In order to get accurate answers it helps to provide accurate information.

Make double sure you're matching roms with the right kernels. Wipe dalvik before flashing. Also, make sure you're running a reliable recovery

I understand that...was just saying why you got stuck at the samsung screen lastnight. If your on eh09/ei20gb then tks kernel or imoseyon's lean kernel are your other 2 options.
Ok thanks
