dont laugh if u feel that this is stupid question but is it possible that after upgrading rom to 6.1 or 6.5 our gene turn from qvga to vga?????????
Well, in a simple word: impossible.
PS. not really. You can use nyditot virtual display to make this hapen, but I didn't see any rom with this incorporated.
Technically, if I am not wrong, it should not be possible, since Gene comes with a resolution of 240x320 (which is a hardware limitation, the screen can display 240 pixels by 320 pixels). Whereas VGA is 640 x 480 (or 480 x 640) pixels, so I do not think its possible to somehow make it possible to display at that resolution. But then, I could be wrong .
BTW, If we use a virtualisation software (as mentioned by ramersonw), I believe it will slow down the device .
Thanks for reply

I used it for a couple of days and its a crap.
Font goes too small to view, and it lags all the time. Not of much use.
hello again this time i just wanted to know what dpi is equal too in resolution terms..
i want to know what 80dpi means in resolution so could someone answer me like
80dpi=1280x720 or 80dpi=XXXXxXXX can someone say what exactly is it??
The dpi gives you information about the relation between resolution and size of the screen.
So a huge screen (50") with just a 800*600 resolution has a really low DPI, and so the picture has quite a low quality as you could se every pixel. Modern phones have quite a huge resolution on a really small size. So some even have such a high DPI that you can't even see a single pixel just with your eyes which means a much better quality.
But you cant say ABC-DPI mean X-Y-resolution, its just a relation between size and relation.
oh ok well i manually changed my aces dpi to 80 and it says its resolution now is 960x640 so is that good or bad?? plus i got an 100% replica of the ics 4.0(its a theme) so im really lovin my ace now

Damn it such a huge resolution , I HAVE GOT TO TRY
Hi all,
I've got a tablet running Android 4.0.3.
Now what's bothering me is, it's a 7" tablet but with a resolution of 800 x 480. It displays circles into ovals... images are stretched in the 800-px direction.
Can I do anything to fix it? Thanks!
Hi,
First of all, sorry for any grammar or spelling mistakes i make. I'm not very good at English.
I was porting CM 11 from LG VS920 (LG Spectrum) to a Sky Vega A820L (LTE EX). They have most same hardwares (SoC, RAM, Camera,...), the only difference is the screen resolution (Spectrum: 1280x720. Sky Vega LTE EX: 1280x800 - kinda weard resolution, huh).
I followed the guides on xda about porting rom from a device to another. Most rom porting guides are pretty similar.
So, after zipping the rom, i flashed it on my Sky A820L. It booted, showed the boot animation. But after the animation, it only showed a black screen, although the capacitive touch buttons still lid up and i can feel vibration when touching on some places on the screen.
What should I do to fix it?
Hello,
I would like to directly take a picture on my phone at a custom resolution. Are there apps that have this function? I'm want to take a picture that is 1920 but not 1080, it needs to be smaller than that.
(Device: LG G5, I'm not rooted and don't intend to. Also not going to program anything.)
