Did you wipe before installing?
More info would be helpful as well which Rom, Kernel etc.

Change the rom and first wipe it.

what i suppose is that there is a conflict between the rom and the kernel, what i would suggest you do is install a different kernel, like siyah or N.E.A.K
try this first tho
1) go into mount and storage then format system
2) get the latest siyah on ur SD card and flash it from recovery
3) try reinstalling hydra
coming to my house proves it. but yesterday I did that but left with a semibrinck ... I am not sure why that was. thank you very much for the answer

Neat rom lite aroma mods froze!

I flashed NeatRom lite as Second Rom and after I checked everything was ok, I went back into Recovery to flash Aroma mods. After a successful install of everything I wanted to install, I touched 'Next' to finish it all. But then it completely froze. Its been like that for more than half an hour. And I'm afraid to take out the battery, wondering if the phone will start again. Can anyone help me?

Fix
I know this is an old thread but we had the same issue installing this ROM onto a device with STOCK firmware GINGERBREAD 3.2.6
Flashing using CWM the phone got stuck on the Samsung galaxy logo
ROM install without CWM in recovery bricked the device and it got stuck in boot-loop
The solution: After installing the stock ROM using Odin, make sure you have a clean install! (This is important) then wipe the data, cache and dalvik cache and proceed to flash ace-I-sure
As always before you do any of this make sure you use CWM to backup your phone to SD so you can roll back!
IF YOUR DEVICE IS BRICKED - USE THIS VIDEO TO RESTORE STOCK!
Cant post the link because I'm a new member - but search "Unbrick Ace 5830i via ODIN" the uploader is by Amritpal Singh

Switching between roms may softbrick your phone. If you are stuck at bootscreen while flashing, the solution may already specified in respected threads. There are 3 links specified in Ace-i-Sure ROM thread for solving stuck at boot logo.

It's not the problem of rom.
Freeze Some apps like maps, YouTube... those are working as background apps.
Turnoff wifi, GPS, packet data when not in use.
Selecting 2G only will improve battery backup.
Set Screen brightness to minimum level.

1) frying touchscreen occurs when flashing note 2 files. Bigger screen needs more power. Too much power for s3 so fries
2) don't use ics. Unsafe on s3 for other reasons.

why would you flash CM9?
