[Q] Increase 2d graphics - Motorola Droid X2

Just curious if there is a way to increase 2d graphics, I did an AnTuTu Benchmark and found that to be my rather lacking score compared to others. If anyone can help me out that'd be awesome.

At this time there isn't much we can do about that. I'm sure it requires some kernel tweaking.

Not too surprised I guess, what with having very limited access to the kernel and such. I've noticed a bit of an increase using Chainfire3d, but not enough to really make a difference. Is there any other programs out there that are similar?

[Q] Do you use any memory optimiser?

I used Advanced Memory Killer on my Hero, but wonder if it makes sense to use any on SGS2.

No . It really doesn't

You just don't need it anymore.
Thanks a lot, guys. I'm asking because i'm a bit worried about the battery consumption while the phone is not used. I had much better results with Hero with 18-month old battery.

System panel paid version with monitoring enabled is what I use to track which apps if any are using CPU. Its the best tool by far for this.

What kernel for cm7?

What's kernel would you guys recommend for cm 7 any suggestions?

I use the latest dream kernel, fixed wifi for me. I also like the speed tweak option for on the fly changes. If your feeling daring search vipermod to lower your voltage even more, I get better battery life that way.

Well I'm kind of new to this root flash. I don't know what version of the dream kernel to use. Everything works good wifi 4g 3g video camera except for swathing youtube videos on web browser I get the sound but no video.

Well if everything works well then you might not need a different kernel. To answer your post its called dream kernel in the development forum and it explains pretty well what the speed tweak and options are. Flash won't work unless you get the 10.1 apk which is also in the development forum. I would them to you but I'm on my phone. Good luck and post back if you have anymore questions

Is that the one that includes call recording?
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App
Yeah it should or I know lean kernel has it.
Sent from my ThunderBolt using XDA App
Can the call recording be downloaded?
Sent from my ThunderBolt using XDA Premium App
The option or the calls? The calls are saved to your phone if that's what your asking.
Sent from my ThunderBolt using XDA App
Call recording like the bamf
Sent from my ThunderBolt using XDA Premium App
To actually hear what you said in a conversation. Sort if I'm not making any sense
Sent from my ThunderBolt using XDA Premium App
Call recording isn't an app you download, it has to be supported by the kernel. Dream kernel and lean kernel do, should state the feature in the post. The kernel included in bamf supports it which is why it is listed as a feature

What's going on with frame rate in games?

I've installed NOVA3 on both the Tab 10.1 alongside my Sensation 4g both rooted running custom ICS (Tab is running AKOP 38, Sensation Revolution HD 6.6.7) Even with Chain fire installed on the tab the phone is just kicking its butt with zero tweaking. Getting almost double the frame rate on the phone. Now when it comes to Mass Effect both run about the same. I'm curious if I'm missing or overlooking something in regards to the Tab, a setting I may have missed?

Seemed to have found a solution by modifying the system to handle Terga chipset better

[Q] Forced gpu acceleration. Good or bad?

I think the title of my thread says everything....
i would like to know if its good to activate force gpu or not.
I read once that it forces hardware acceleration instead of software, making it quicker, taking extra load of the CPU and also increasing battery life... not sure if that's true though.

Would be nice if its true

Tweaks and over voltage?

So i really want my phone to run a little bit faster and smoother. My processor has never been over clocked so it should be good. What are some tweaks or things to try with CPU and stuff like that
Sent from my SGH-T959 using xda app-developers app
You can install a custom ROM, that allows you to change memory sizes? Also the only cool thing you can do with the CPU is over clock and under clock when needed. Use setcpu for overclocking after you root your phone. Or if you have a custom ROM that has the setting built in, use those. And always use the right amount of speed and voltage.

Well I've had my phone rooted for quite a while I'm just wandering if anyone has any particular tweaks like memory what to over clock it to stuff like that
Sent from my SGH-T959 using xda app-developers app
Setcpu is over clocking app I use. It also comes with many different settings for it and schedules for your processor to be clocked on. I don't know of any apps that would even let you change memory sizes? You usually have to get a specific kernel and custom ROM to directly customize memory type. Hope that helps
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
Well I'm usually on devil kernel. But is there a specific voltage you would recommend over clocking to?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using xda app-developers app
I can't remember the voltages of the phone, but I believe a good voltage would be around 1350mv. Running the processor close to max, but under enough so the phone doesn't heat up, or start lagging.
