Keeps the picture big if you use direct link + we wont use too much space of XDA and we dont need to manually shrink/cut them.
End result is that we have a nice gallery to look at when we scroll through it.

What do you mean? I have slightly adjusted the settings but I took it with stock app at the pool ..the upload doesn't do it justice..the picture is.pretty amazing for a cellphone..in the right settings the.e3d can take really nice photos..look in the photon general forum..they have a picture thread and I.think they look bad although I've heard It's better

Yeah I notice that picture looks great, I was wondering how you got so close and the bee didn't move, I haven't seen the photon 4g forum yet but i don't really care I'm happy with my phone and yeah moving settings helps to makes it look even bettwr

Me and the queen are cool that's why he didnt move.. jk I got lucky I took like 3 or.4 pics and they all.came out good..one major improvement is the macro shots..I think that with some software fixes that our camera can be great .

The lens will adjust is not completely macro but it works amazing with some close ups like roses and bugs, I'm happy wit it

Hi all!! I've heard that evo3d camera isnt as good as for example HTc sensation... I saw some samples and in fact they are not so good is there any way to improve them by software or the quality depends on hardware??
If you know how to take a picture they can come out fine.If you adjust the settings to your situation the Evo 3D can take phenomenal photos.Most of the pictures you see are user error more than a crappy camera.
Overall the camera is mediocre.But can take descent photos with the right user and settings.

I've found when I use the physical camera button on the side, pictures come out crappy. I seem to barely move the phone, and it gets blurry. I have better luck with the button on the touch screen.

No, but to be fair I have very steady hands. I shoot a lot of still shots at Auto Shows. I love the camera button vs the onscreen button.

They both work fine. I take pics with the button instead of the screen but it does seem to have a lil shutter lag. Not really any different than any other phone really. I also have a nexus s that does the same.

It's not a problem with the button, it's just when I halfway press to focus, and then press fully, I end up just slightly moving the phone due to the movement of the button. (if that makes sense) if I really try hard to hold it still, I can take good photos, but I always get a clear photo from using the touchscreen. So, rather than trying my best to use the button, it's just easier for me to not use it.

Wow, after doing some playing with settings (the ones in the link you posted), pictures look amazing now. I moved the sharpness to one, and exposure to negative one. Made a HUGE difference. If anyone hasn't played with the settings, try it out.

check out the miui version. The camera is awesome. And for night pictures, the miui camera keeps the led on so the sensor can do it's focus.
I've been thinking about removing the protective covering over the lenses to see if I can get better quality pictures. Do you guys think it'll make a noticeable difference?

Simply because the evo is a higher grade of technology than the swnsation. HTC knows what they r doing. Example, there must have been a reason to stop at 8mp, now every phone company is maxed out at 8mp. Same for 3d, htc puts 2 5 mp camera followed by lg doing the same.

i dont think stock sense supports scrolling backgrounds anymore it would be cool if they gave us the option too tho. but that aside i think making them in wide landscape gives us more options on where we can position the pic you know?

This particular wallpaper gets cropped tto fit just perfectly. All wallpapers will be cropped or resized to proper dimensions.

Oh so it is 960 tall? I always had a hard time getting sense to pick out what I wanted when I set backgrounds
I use adw over sense now and sense just turns itself off after a while. That and wallpaper wixardtii

I love photography, i have some dslr cameras and lens but actually we can maximize our phone to capture whatever we want! At least i just use dslr just for jobs or lecturing duties.
And also android has some good picture editor apps. Personally i choose be fungky pro, pixlr o matic, and picsaypro to edit all my photos.

Yes, it is the truth of photography, there are times it doesnt need to think about composition, color, sharpness, or exposure. But the moment and memory. Little regret when I was new to photography while in college, I couldnt capture the beautiful moments with my grandfather, my grandpa died when I was in junior high school. beautiful photos!

3mpx (to reduce noise)
Iso 100-400 (keep clean and nice blur/bokeh)
Exposure +1
Sometimes i also make the saturation up 1 step
And never use effect when take, just edit by apps after that..

It would be sweet if somehow they can wrap these pictures in a 360 degree and be able to roll around them in an app like you can in google maps street view to look like your actually in the picture looking around. These pics look wacky by themselves.

Yea it needs a universal app so u can look around. But on google+ it let's u like on streetview just click the photosphere icon and it switches to streetview mode.

I think that's on the horizon. They're making it to where you can make submissions to Google Maps Street View so that user content can be there.

So far the only photospheres I can view as actual photospheres are from Juan Suarez....
I'm guessing that the hacked versions are missing something to be viewed that way.

In order to view the pictures in photosphere u must open the 4.2 gallery and tap on the little icon on the bottom. In order to share them online so far you must upload them to google+ which supports photosphere

It needs to be uploaded to Google+ in order to view it in sphere mode I believe. Open in the 4.2 gallery and share to G+ from there. Go to your G+ timeline and share the link (presuming you uploaded it as public).

I hadn't even known until this thread that photospheres were viewable on G+.

It's a streetview view instead of a panoramic view

Hey everyone, I've modded the app Device Frame Generator by f2prateek to include an Evo 4G LTE template to place screenshots on. All credit goes to f2prateek for the app, I have just slightly modified it.

Wallpaper is part of one of pneuma's bootanimations so it's only 720x1280 so you can't use it on a rom with scrolling wallpaper. Not sure if he's released it yet though...

That's other reason why I love sense 5. No scrolling wallpaper and it sets the wallpaper better.

The app in the one forum contains both templates for the Evo lte and the HTC one but the one here only contains templates for the Evo lte
