HD2 bricked

Hi, I was trying to flash my ROM with SSPL and a cooked ROM and now my HD2 is bricked. When I turn it on, the white HTC screen comes up and nothing more happens (except the back gets warm). I'm assuming that the little "void" thing below the battery area means that any warranty is void or something.
Can anyone help? Nothing I can do to it will make anything happen. Thanks all!
SSPL? Aren't you supposed to use the HSPL?

As far as I know the "void" thing below the battery is correctly in place. If it was missing - then your warranty would be void.
I would put your phone into bootloader and flash a stock rom.
If you have a european phone check this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=609477
If you have USA phone check here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=653614
Your phone is not bricked, you should be able to reflash back to a stock rom. To flash a custom rom you should use Hard-SPL, if you do this make sure you pay close attention to the directions, because a long time ago I bricked my wizard because I didn't pay attention to details

And if you have T-Mobile USA 1024 version:

Fixed my Aussie T9193
Hi, thanks all for the responses, I've gotten it working! I didn't know about getting the phone into bootloader mode FIRST, then doing the installations. BIG help, thanks to the collective wisdom!!

I bricked my phone after using "Task 29"... PLEASE HELP!
I just used "Task 29", my phone is stuck on the home screen and will not do anything else. I keep holding down the volume buttons and inserting a USB cord to see if it will sync to my computer so I can upload another ROM, but as soon as the multi colored screen comes up, it quickly changes to a white screen telling me to either press the vol button up for a reset or another key to escape it. If I press up it goes right back to the boot up screen and does the same if I press any other button. Is there anyone who could help me.... PLEASEEEE!!!!

HTC Broke
Hai if still your Boot loader is working you can install HTC Stock ROM as it is from the Factory. Read the Forum before asking Questions.Hope will help
pic or it never happened
How do i do this please sivarajkumar?
Read mskip's helpful guide...just after point 2 near the top of the page.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=609477
And good luck.
Cant as my screen has cracked then i actually cant see anything on my screen at all.
Charge your phone all the night long.
Download YOUR stock original HTC Rom.
Right click on the .exe and extract it.
Take the RUU_SIgned.nbh and rename it in LEOIMG.nbh and copy it on root of your sd-card.
put the card in your phone.
Power up LEO while your press volume down.
Now,since you have a broken screen, wait some seconds ( 10-20) and press power button.
Leave the phone till the Rom is flashed, you will be sure to have succesfully flashed the rom if after 1 or 2 minutse your phone will reboot (you will hear the vibration going on)

[Q] HTC HD2 freeze on startup

Hello guys i have a problem with my HTC HD2.
I have searched a lot on this site before posting my problem.
This is what happens and what i did:
The phone doesn't pass the white HTC screen with the RGD letters below.
What i have tried:
HSPL 2.08.HSPL, 1.66, 1.42, 2.08.000
Radio: Leo_RADIO_2.08.50.05, Leo_RADIO_2.15.50.14
Roms: Stock Vodafone (Dutch) rom, Energy rom
Hard reset (vol up +down on startup).
Tried task 29 and started everything all over again
I went to the a phone store, they couldnt help me. Afterwards i went to the official store but i don't have my receipt anymore so i don't have a warranty..
So i think i have tried everything i could find on this forum. Tried most of the HSPL versions with diferent roms. But all of them stay on the startup screen (white htc start screen)
If someone can help me please, this is really my last chance
Thanks,
Issam
ps. i hope this is the good section to post this problem.
Well the phone starts up now (it actually works for a few minutes!). I haven't changed anything, the only thing i did is leave the battery out for like 1 hour. But everytime i start up the phone it freezes and / or turns of after 1 min or something. Sometimes it doesn't even boot up like the usual problem, but then i remove the battery for 10 minutes and it boots normal again.
So i really don't have a clue
i was experimenting all day again with my htc.
What i found out was, the longer i keep my battery out of the phone the longer i can use it.
For example: I had the battery out of the phone for about 2 hours, when I put it back in i could use it for like 10 minutes.
But when i keep the battery out for 10 minutes it freezes within 1 minute.
Maybe this will help me get the solution to this problem.
I would format the sd card just in case, also make sure you have the correct versions of what you need, rom raido ect, because theres two types of HD2s, hope this helps!!
Thanks for the reply, i tried formatting the SD card and i succeeded doing it 5 times i think. I think i have the correct version of rom and radio, how do i know?

You should remove hspl , and after that install the latest rom available on htc site for your device (download the rom from htc site, with your serial number ) . Official roms have included radio inside of them. If HSPL is removed and you have again problems with your device with an official rom installed, then you have a hardware problem. You could try to boot up without sd card installed, to see if the card is the problem.
Thank you,
I will try removing HSPL and install the original ROM from the HTC site. I'll let you guys know.

I see that you are on t-mobile network , so you should download your rom from here: http://www.t-mobile.com/wmupgrade/ . Just enter your imei and download the update. Remove HSPL and then install the official rom. Perform a hard reset after that , and see if is all ok . Keep us informed pls.
Hi, yes i have a T-mobile contract, but my phone is Vodafone branden so i'll have to download the Vodafone version I think.
But what i just did is this:
I had HSPL 2.08.HSPL and a Custom ROM on it. So I was planning on maybe sending it back. Thats why I performed a task 29 to delete all the previous (parts of the) Roms. After that i changed my HSPL to 1.66.000, the original spl I had on it.
But now the phone does vibrate when i hold the power butten (with vol down), but there is no picture, so i cant get into the phone or the Red green blue screen. So i think the phone will not boot because I deleted the Rom on the phone and also returned the spl to original.
Is there a solution for this problem? omg this phone just doesn't seem to be working for me (maybe it's me that is not working for the phone).
It is normal since you did a task29. Verify if you did it correctly here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=644781
Yes i have read that thread thank you, but the question is:
How can i get the phone to connect with my PC, so I can install original ROM. Because the Boatloader screen won't start up, to make connection with my Computer. I press the power button and vol down butten at the same time. Tried it at least 20 times
Thanks you all. But i sent this phone back to HTC. The board was replaced and they sent it back, so it works again! finally my phone back

Hero stuck in "hero" - reinstall rom?

My Hero has been under water for a sec, and is stuck in "HERO" .
Then I guess somthing still is working inside.
Is it a worth try to reinstall a ROM?
I see that this issue already has been written about, but I will really appreciate an explanation for a dummie
Will the unit be able to start a reinstall if a new software is placed onto the memory card? Is the fact that the phone shows "HERO" a sign that the boot process reaches the point to start a reinstall?
If so, can anyone please link me the appropriate ROM and explain what to do?
Is the ROM an .exe file?
I have tried the trick to reset the unit by pressing HOME, BACK and hit the POWER buton. The unit got into the meny and I selected RESET or something but it did solve the problem . I do not know any other easy trick.
Thanks!
Is ur phone rooted? if so try holding the HOME key then power on the device and that will get u into recovery screen, there, try flashing a new ROM u can find plenty here:

Think I got the Phone reinstalled via SD Card now with original ROOT.ZIP.
It is not rooted. However, it does not boot an further that the "HERO" screen....
Are there anything else to try?
Get an RUU from HTC's website, thats rescued a few soft bricks that i got. Although you may have damaged some internal components.

This is what I did:
Downloaded the ROM-:2.73.405.5 from HTC.
Installed in windows 7 and took the ROOT.ZIP file from the installation TEMP folder, renamed it to HEROIMG.ZIP and put it to the clean FAT32 SD card and booted the HERO.
The HERO installed the file without any fault messages,
but still the unit does not boot any further than the "HERO" white letters...
I guess this is it...I need a new print card for the phone? I have checked the contacts inside the HERO, they seem ok.
When putting the unit to charge the orange light lits, but disappear when pressing power button - however, the battery DOES charge.
Why did you extract the ROM.zip, just let the RUU run its course. It'll fix any software issues that may exist.

This - and two weeks of vacation worked - thanks!

As you didn't root it, claim warranty...
thank you but in my country (Iran) there are not official warranty and guaranty services. but there are a lot of Repairman and i must pay a lot of money to them to repair this.
if it is hard brick , i guess one the chip in phone is damaged . the phone is connected to pc via usb when the battery was low and it had a power fluctuation .
i saw a lot of people in xda and another forum looks like me . they had this problem with Htc desire x , one s , one , desire ...
They could not do anything . they sent theirs to Htc guaranty service.
i appreciate for your regard :good:
Same thing happened to me. Mine is HTC Desire X dual sim.
Last night I was trying to Root my phone.
Successfully unlocked the bootloader and installed the custom recovery. then problem occurred due to Superuser itself cannot update binary SU as it could not access root.
Then flashed a Superuser from custom recovery. During these process I did not turned my phone off instead restarted it.
But then from that custom recovery option I powerd it off. That was the biggest mistake. After that I am unable to turn it on.
It only shows Red (Orange) LED while plug in it with USB or charger. Removing and Reinserting the Battery after 5-10 mins and trying to turn it on gives nothing other than only 5/7 Vibrations after a while.
So researched about it and found out this one problem occurred to many out there, and no solution what so ever.
I bricked my phone, lost my warranty all at the same time last night. Lost hope, as its totally dead and have to pay for it to repair.
Then I unplug the charger and removed the battery and gone to bed.
This morning I put the battery back and pressed the power button for 5-10 secs to see if it turning on or not. But it did not.
But after a while it turned back on automatically with the power on sound. I was very surprised. The Superuser thing is also working now.
I am afraid, I should not power it off completely from now on. As like ever!!. But that is ridiculous. So what was the main reason behind this issue? Is that because of Custom Recovery/ Rooting/ any hardware like motherboard or something (It is not the power button as I can check now it is working) else??
I don't know what is the reason behind it. But If anybody tell me how to get back to stock recovery so that I can Switch off my phone without having a fear of never can turn it on, will be appreciated.
Thanks.
