do someone knows if there is a fix so wiimotes could work on the flyer, or some rom that integrates it that could then integrate it to a flyer rom??
Have you tired wiimote demo fom the market?
Just tried it didnt work at all, stop connection appeard a second later, maybe something i am doing wrong but i am pretty sure i am not
If it's the same as with the evo 4g, wiimotes won't work on a sense flavored version of android.
If cyanogen (or anyone else for that matter) decides to whip up their own version of Android for the flyer/view that is vanilla (without sense) you will be in luck.

I have just bought an Android 2.3 tablet for my son. One of the things he wants to be able to do is produce his own MP3s by recording from his electric guitar and editing / creating his own tracks.
I have also purchase a 'plug & play' USB guitar lead - but the tablet doesn't recognise it, and I haven't found an audio editor he could use to produce his own music.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
2.3 or 3.2 tablet?

2.3 - does it make a difference?

Although I don't believe there are any audio editing apps out there, for future reference, Google's tablet OS is 3.0+ while Google's phone OS is other such as 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3. If there are any tablet optimized apps, which would make sense if some developer made an app as productive as audio editing, they would be for 3.0+, aka Honeycomb. I don't see developers developing what your son wants to do for the phone versions. In my opinion, an Ipad would have been a better option for what your son wants to do. Sorry, but that's the truth.
If I'm wrong, someone correct me please.

I wouldn't buy an Ipad on principle (if only because you can't change the battery, never mind a number of ideological reasons) - but the cost is also prohibitive for something for a 12 year-old.
All tablets come with Microphones built in, I'm amazed they can't accept and edit audio via a cable?
I'm very new as a member and I've been trying to find a rom which will allow me to have the ability to connect a Wii controller and use tv out function. I have tried Bluez on TW based roms and understand that the Wii controller will not connect due to the bluetooth stack. On these roms the TV out function works perfectly. With CM7 I can successfully connect Wii controllers but there is as of yet as of any of the release canadates or nightlies (81) no TV out function. Is there anyone aware of a rom with both of these capabilities or can someone tell me where to offically request this ability on CM7?
I really love CM7 and have the entire process memorized to get gps working on CM7, but the lack of tv out just kills it for me. Such possibility as a portable gaming system that I don't see an opportunity to take advantage of.
I've performed searches for those combinations and have thus far yielded nothing. if somone can point me in the right direction I would be extremly greatful and I would love to support through some donations any group willing to take on the task of incorperating both in a single rom.
Not gonna happen. Just no functionality for tv out on cm7 until source is dropped for 2.3 for the T959, which is not going to happen.

Hi all,
I've just been with my friend in work when we spotted the PS3 controller for android phones app, and so we downloaded the compatibility check, his passed (galaxy Nexus)
Mine Failed EVO 3D running sense
I know there was a problem withe the bluetooth stack within sense UI, but surely someone must have broken through this barrier and got it to work on our beloved androids running Sense UI.
Apparently there was some talk about the wiimote being worked on for Sense phones, but i've not been able to see it nor have i read much on google, try searching "Sense UI bluetooth controller" and you'll find a tonne of sites telling you how it DOENS'T work on sense ui not good.
Any info, (hopefully good news) would be nice.
Cheers
Short of porting the AOSP stack to sense, I don't think it will be possible.

Where does that bluetoothbstack reside? Surely there must be a way to extract it, i read that its only missing a protocol, hid its called, the guys who created cyanogenmod would probably be the best people for this. Gaming on android is going to take off, hdmi connection and controller support, htc needs to get on the bandwagon.
I was looking to purchase this:
https://market.android.com/details?...sMSwxLDEsImNvbS5xby5hbmRyb2lkLnRhYmxldC5hbSJd
But then I read it's a tablet version, is there anyway to get it to run on our phoness? it would be a nice alternative for webtop on fullscreen, although it would be awful for the smallscreen but a good alternative to google docs when there's no internet on the webtop.
No guarantees, but you might be able to get it to work if you install a CM9 rom and apply the tablet UI hack.
HD (for tablets) works on my Atrix. Had paid for it for the week I had a transformer prime. Used that apk on my Atrix and it works. It's a bit crowded, but doesn't look bad in landscape. I'm on Joker's CM9 (no mods), so that's all I can testify for. Good luck.
Anyone had any luck with it on a motoblur gingerbread rom?
I currently use my phone for webtop so I haven't moved to CM9
Today I've bought the steelseries FREE gamepad for playing games on my HTC One X+.
I'm running the latest 4.2.2 AOKP version (20130224) by maxwen (I've also tried it on official Slim Bean 4.2.1 by bedalus), but the phone doesn't seem to be able to connect to the gamepad. When I try to pair it the gamepad is moved to the list of pairing-devices, then it says "connecting..." for about one second and then nothing happens and the device isn't connected.
Then I've tried to pair it to my iPad (i know there are two different settings on the controller for Android and iOS and of course I changed them before attempting to connect to different devices) and it worked fine, but my HOX+ doesn't build up a connection.
Is it because I'm running a Custom ROM, because in all of the reviews of the gamepad I've seen the people were using stock roms (or roms build on stock roms maybe? but I don't think so)?
Can anybody help me connecting the gamepad to my phone?
Edit: Now I've downloaded the steelseries app from the play store, but also nothing happens. The gamepad is still under the pairing-devices, the app acts like there was connected a steelseries gamepad at least once but the log is empty and I also can't configurate anything.
Edit: Now I've tried out various ROMs, 4.2 ones: CM10.1, AOKP, SlimBean and 4.1 ones: CM 10, ParanoidAndroid. And the connection was built up on all of the 4.1 ROMs but on none of the 4.2 ROMs. So I guess there's something wrong with the Android 4.2 ROMs or the gamepad isn't able to connect to 4.2 ROMs.. So is there any possibility (maybe a hidden setting or something) to play my games with my gamepad on a 4.2 ROM because actually I don't want to miss the features of 4.2...
Have you tried a sense rom?
Sent from my HTC One X+ using xda premium
Yes, but there are no Sense rom available with Android 4.2 and the AOSP roms based on 4.1 have always been working. Found out it was a issue based on Bluetooth in Android 4.2 (has been completely reworked, some profiles are missing, as well as the HDI-profile which is used for things like that).
But the next kernel from maxwen will have this feature implented so the problem is solved now and the gamepad (as well as a ps3 controller or somthing like that) will probably also work on every 4.2 AOSP rom available for the HOX+, I think the thread can be closed?
