I was syncing my LinkedIn contacts using SocialHub without problems, but lately it stopped working, claiming a "temporary failure" is present. I tried to recreate the account and delete data from applications which I think could be involved in the sync process but without any luck. A log from the SNS application is included if it could help in understanding where the problem is.
Any help in pointing out which data I should erase or what actions I could take to solve this issue will be appreciated.
Problems to sync Social Hub LinkedIn in Galaxy S2
I'm having a similar problem when trying to synchronize through Social Hub in my Galaxy S2. I've tried installing the LinkedIn application from the Market, and contacts do synchronize (though the LinkedIn icon is not shown in the agenda near each LinkedIn contact).
Does anybody have a similar issue? Maybe the problem is that my Galaxy S2 is brand new and the problem is related to the brand new LinkedIn Android App that was released few days ago.
Thanks in advance
Good to know that LinkedIn application is now able to sync contacts
But for me it not syncing contacts pictures at all.. Is this normal?
same here
I have a Galaxy S2 unlocked and here in Argentina it is the same deal.
When you go to accounts you see a message that says Synchronization is having problems and will be back shortly.
The thing is that I've been seeing this message for over 3 days now and no sync of any SNS account.

My Twitter account in Accounts & Settings always comes up with an error for syncing down contacts.

Hi!
same problem here with my two Twitter accounts.
The message that appears in the Account & Sync screen is like the following:
Synchronization has got some problem. The operation will be restored soon.
Or maybe: Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly.
If I tap on the Twitter Account, there are two options to be enabled:
Synchronize Twitter Data
Synchronize Contacts
As regard the Synchronize Contacts item it has an exclamation mark near the sync icon. It is clear that the issue is related only to the contacts.
Why is this happening?
Any news?
Ok, it has been found that it is a Twitter app issue.
Me and my friend have sumbitted a bug report to Twitter for fixing.
Please do as well.
Twitter 3.1.0 has just been relased but the contact sync problem is still there! They've fixed everything but the most important thing!
Hi,
I have problems to sync my birthdays from my gmail account. All contacts transfered to the phone with every information, but no birthday shows up at the calendar. The calendar is sync with the gmail account under more/calendar.
If I put an appointment into it, it shows on my other device. I have no problems with the old stock calendar Any suggestions ?
Thanks for your help
So, am I the only one with that problem? If so, would you please help
This problem has been bothering me for a long time now.
I have an Exchange account with my school that I sync my email and contacts to my android phone with no problems. However, the school made a shared calendar for our class schedules that I added to my Exchange account (by adding the URL), but this calendar will not sync to my phone. If I create my own events in my personal calendar, that works fine and shows up, but the calendar that I added from the school will not. It shows up just fine on Outlook on the PC.
My current solution is to just add that calendar to my google account and sync it, but the problem with that is that our class schedules can sometimes change suddenly and gmail doesn't sync very often, which has led to some problems for me in the past. I would much rather have the direct syncing of the calendar to my phone instead of through google.
What makes it more aggravating is that my friend has no problem syncing the calendar with iOS, so I know it should be possible. I've tried using Touchdown but that has the same problem.
Here is an image from the Outlook Web app showing both calendars
Thanks in advance for your help
My phone: MyTouch 4G running ICS. I had this problem even on other GB roms.
Question
Sorry i can't help you but i have question . I saw you wrote your friend has no problem sync shared calendar on iOS. Can you tell me how he did that and do i need some kind of app. I'm trying to sync my shared calendar (Outlook 2010) to my friends iPhone, but iPhone only syncs his calendar when i create exchange activesync account on his iPhone. Thank you
Device: GT-I9300
Android: 4.1.2 I9300DXELK1
Exchange: 2007
I'm having trouble syncing contacts, but calendar and email works fine. I have two other exchange accounts installed, and one of them is syncing calendar and the other one just email.
I have tried to remove all Exchange accounts on the phone, and re-installed first he main account witch won't sync contacts. At this point it works just fine. But after a while, it stops.
I have a bunch of other apps that access the contact list in case it can have anything to to with the problem:
I use Viber, Skype, WhatsApp, Facebook Cantact Sync from WeedNET, and several of the contacts are combined in the phone.
Can anyone help?
Hi everyone,
My phone Andorid version is: Gingerbread - 2.3.5
Until few days ago calendar sync was working without problem. But now stopped sync to google servers.
For example:
If I add appointment to my Google calendar online (browser on PC), it shows up on my android calendar - no problem. But when I add appointment on the android calendar (using the factory calendar as well as "Bussines Calendar") the appointments don't show up on my Google calendar online, but instead it's get deleted in my android calendar.
I've tried:
Restart the phone.
Syncing several times, turn sync on and off many times.
Clearing the data of Calendar store and Calendar applications.
This also happens on device Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 (gingerbread)
Checked that I adding appointments to gmail calendar and not on local calendar
Can anybody with OS Gingerbread try this?
I've have the feeling that Google changed something on their Calendar services online....
Thanks.
Hello I came to this forum to search for the answer to the same question.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 with android 2.3.3 and I cannot add any new event to the google calendar. The event simply gets deleted after 1-2 minutes after I input it into the phone.
I have tried searching for answers on google, but the proposed solutions did not work. I tried: clearing Calendar app cached data; also tried creating a new calendar - the new calendar is there, but new events disappear from it 1-2 minutes after being created.
I am worried that google messed up something on their side - but I have no idea where to even report it.
Yes, I saw that Google updated their Google Calendar after I visited Google Calendar page (few days ago): https://www.google.com/calendar
So there must be some bug, becuase I also check their troubleshooter and still no solution to my problem:
