I know the video is on the Droid X, but you get the idea. (Skip to 30 sec mark)
Also, if you want the animation to be in landscape, just download the Droid X version from http://www.multiupload.com/4P7LJB14VW. It's a little wonky though. Basically, it letterboxes the portrait PNG into a landscape view. Looks OK. If anyone is interested in rotating and fixing the crop on it, that would be lovely. Personally, I'm running SS 1.3 with portrait lock (today anyway).
Will this work on rooted stock 2.2.2?
Yes. Works on ALL ROMS. In fact, you don't even need root if you use ADB to push the bootanimation.zip to /data/local
thanks for the shout, I might try this I have a blue android with rotating circle around him right now.
Tried works and looks great.

I have been working on this theme for the past couple of days and its looking pretty good to me so far. But of course I would say that right.....
The theme has been tested on DJ Steve's 1.6 using a 200 density but I'm currently sizing them down for the standard density of 160. I have attached a couple of images of a few icons that I have created so far and would like everyones input on them. Also if anyone has any requests for the way they would like some stuff to look then let me know because I'm open to create whatever.
I'm hoping to have the first update zip uploaded here tonight or tomorrow after I finish some more things up. In the meantime, feedback would be greatly appreciated!

This is where i cooked battery meter
Looking forward to trying this
Thanks for taking time to do it
No problem at all. I have actually gotten a lot done last night and today. Tried using a few different screen cap apps for the streak but they are all making the image have a red haze over it. Anybody have a fix for this so I can post a pic of my homescreen to show y'all my progress?

Well I've been looking all up and down google for this, if anyone has a copy of the original AT&T boot animation handy, I would appreciate it. I found 'A' version of it, but its not the same. I had to re size the images to get it to run smoother, and its still not that great.
EDIT: Here is the current animation I am using. It includes an HTC animation I made, and loops the AT&T 'rethink possible' animation (twice on my phone but will vary depend on your boot time). I've managed to get it pretty smooth for our phones.

EDIT2: Got the real one, no sound though. RUU'd back to 2.1 to get it. Had to modify the Desc.txt to work with CM7. Removed the single HTC splash screen that flashed before. Still not as smooth as I like. Rename to bootanimation.zip and place in your /data/local/ folder.
Really? Nobody has a rooted 2.1 that they can pull the bootanimation.zip off of?

Added the current AT&T bootanimation.zip to the OP that I am using.
Got the original bootanimation from 2.1. Added to OP.
These are some boot animations that I originally made for the MT4G, but ported them over to the Amaze. I actually never released the Door of Time animation I made, but here it is. I give it to you guys instead. Keep in mind that I am not a great photoshopper, so it doesn't look like the most amazing thing in the world...just a simple animation.
Here is a video of the Door of Android that I never released. (kind of blurry cause my non-amaze camera sucks, and I don't have an SD card for my MT4G)
Here is a video of the intro to Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past (with sound) that I made. (Again, same crappy camera)
If you'd like to download them, you can get them here:
1. Door of Android
2a. LOTZ: LTTP
2b. LOTZ: LTTP sound
If you use the Energy ROM like I do, put the bootanimation.zip (and the .mp3 if using the 2nd one) in /system/customize/resource and that'll do it for you. If you don't use Energy, you may have to poke around your ROM until you find where they keep their bootanimation.zip, and then replace it with one of these two. Hope someone can find some use for these.

Cool, I have one i want to post of Asuka on her cell phone, but I cant at the moment.
revived and edited another one of my XOOM boot animations.
this one was created from scratch, ever single pixel, done with paint.net.
download the file, rename it to bootanimation.zip. back up your current bootanimation.zip file in system/media. place new bootanimation.zip file in system/media. reboot and enjoy. (usual disclaimer, im not responsible if you mess up your phone. i have put it on my sgsII and it works fine).
DOWNLOAD
(the animation will loop with mario jumping and collecting coins)

i was big into making them last year, taking videos and chopping them into boot animations, and making my own from scratch.
you can check out the other bootanimations in this thread: http://www.xoomforums.com/forum/boot-animations/
Haven't seen this in the EVO LTE forums yet so I thought I would link to this. This is the HTC_IME keyboard without the arrows for the HTC One X. Works in portrait and landscape without leaving the empty space on the right in landscape. I pushed it to my EVO LTE and it works fine.
I take no credit for this, just linking. Thank ali3nfr3ak when you get there.

Note: There are 2 versions. One has the background behind the keys changed to all black (*BG_Changed.apk). The other I guess is supposed to have a transparent backdrop but it looked more like transparent and black stripes so I used the changed version and thought it looked much better.
thanks man i needed this
Thank you for the link. Works great on flex stock Rom.
