Aftermarket launchers do use more power. The more widgets you have use more power as well.

Anyone can tell me if there is a mod that lets your HOME screen rotate with the phone, the scren with apps and such.. Lmk

You need a launcher that supports such a feature. Almost all of the custom ones do, you just have to enable it from its settings.

Do u know if trigger supports that?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Trigger 3.2 comes with both Launcher Pro & TouchWiz Launchers. The first supports it unlike the second.
Where do I find that on my phone?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
You're running Trigger? If so simply pressing the home button (the wide arrow) would bring you to the launcher screen and from there check the little "make default" box and then choose Launcher Pro.
Search the market for home replacement... zeam , launcher pro, ahome, will all do this, after installing hit your home button and select the one you want to try, if you like it select it as default...

I wouldn't even mention aHome's terrible launcher. ADW all the way!

Better keyboard 8.....hey I'm using better keyboard 8 and was wondering if anyone found a way turn off the key vibrations and sounds when using it. It is really annoying and don't wanna turn down the volume lol. Thnx

It's in the settings menu. I think it's under advanced options, but I can't remember. I like Smart Keyboard better, so I don't keep it installed nowadays...

I've also got both and use the Rapid skin. I was using smart keyboard exclusively until just recently when I decided to try better 8 again. Don't know what it is, but I seem to type better with better 8. I have to say that smart keyboard does have hands down the most configurable features though.

I was curious if there is a way to change lock screens? The fascinate had a puzzle piece that I like I have seen ones that are the weather. Just curious if there are ways to port these if its worth it and so on. Thank you for your time

I wish I could find the puzzle lock one. The only thing I've found is an app called "Widget Locker" it allows you to customize your lockscreen and make it whatever you'd like. I got the HTC Sense lock screen( the cool looking one that you drag down)

I saw that you can use an app but I would rather have something that was built in doing not an app that always has to be running

What little I understand is im assuming its in framework-res.apk or I think that file plays a role

it doesn't constantly run like you're thinking. there is little to no change in battery usage.
hi folks, quick one: if i'm using a non-default launcher (say, apex) with an AOSP ROM (say, slimbean), would it be safe to delete the default launcher (say, holo)?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Yes....buuuuut it's always worth having a spare launcher just in case main one crashes(very unlikely).....just my humble opinion
freeze holo (with TB) if you're worried it will interfere or take up ram (although it shouldn't)

cool, sounds wise. thanks folks.
