What I am doing wrong? i have tried the XXKG3 too!
I am a noob Please help me

I have made a Re-Partition
Why ????
Ninphetamine Channel
Whats that can you provide a link ???
Have you tried the instructions to flash the kernel .
jje

I think you should follow the instructions very carefully
I have never seen any of the rom flashing guidelines to select PIT files and "select re partition"
If you do this mostly you might end up in brick
Suggest you first read properly and follow the instructions carefully

Read instructions properly or your noobness will f-u-ck up ur sgs2

You are lucky you did not break your phone. You are lucky that you did not try to overwrite the bootloader. Which is probably why your phone is not bricked yet.
According to your ODIN pic, you flashed a stock ROM (PDA), which also contains the kernel and the Samsung recovery.
Some custom kernel contains Clockwork Recovery, but cannot be accessed via HOME+VOL UP+PWR buttons. You need to boot into the ROM, then click the Clockwork program or reboot to recovery. It really depends on which kernel.
Anyways, you are absolutely right, you are a n00b that is highly trained at killing your own phone, but here are the steps.
Assuming you already flashed to a stock rom, you only need to replace the kernel.
Just boot your phone into DOWNLOAD MODE (Home + Vol Down + PWR)
Select PDA, and then select Speedmod kernel *.tar file.
Flash.
You should then check the ABOUT PHONE in your settings to see if you have the correct kernel.
Speedmod and Ninphetamine already have clockwork in it, you should be able to boot to Clockwork recovery by using the HOME+VOL UP+PWR buttons.

Rooted Galaxy S2 (via galaxys2root.com), now I cannot get into ClockworkMod Recovery?

I rooted my Galaxy S2 just now (using this method / The easy root method on galaxys2root.com).
I didn’t install the ClockworkMod Recovery as in the further video on galaxys2root.com as a lot of comments from people were saying that it bricked their phone!!! So I installed ROM MANAGER from the Market (Google Play) and flashed ClockworkMod Recovery from within the ROM Manager app.
When I then did 'reboot into recovery' I got this screen come up... (not my actual screenshot by the way, but I get the same error messages coming up) as it was trying to run the UPDATE.ZIP file.

It also won't let me flash CM9 or any other ROM as it comes up with the same message
What am I doing wrong here? It seems to also say Android System Recovery at the top rather than ClockworkMod Recovery :?
Install cfroot kernel..dats much better..
Just checking now... Thanks
Flash the tar file of cf root or any other custom kernels via Odin, you will get back cwm
#*posted on the move *#
Using the easy zergrush method only gives root and superuser, nothing more.
It doesn't include clockworkmod as zedomax mentioned, but he did make another guide on how to flash clockworkmod.
I tried to flash it via clockworkmod too, but it doesn't seem to work with this method for some reason I although I haven't used it, I think cf-root would be better.

Click to collapse
ROM Manager does'nt work on Galaxy S2....uninstall it.
using odin flash cf-root of your current ver of ROM, you will get cwm.

[GUIDE] How to root Gingerbread

When I got my i9100, I didn't have any guides or tutorials to learn about root access. It was a trial and error process that I went through to further understand the process of flashing ROM's and gaining root. I have a little Linux experience so the term root wasn't new to me, but it is to the many users that flock here. In this guide I'll show you how to root Gingerbread using CF-Root.
Before I decided to write this guide, I was using CyanogenMod 9 but wanted to help the users of XDA, with the amount of threads I've seen asking for help rooting.
GINGERBREAD ROOT:
I'm using the stock ROM's for my country, Trinidad, rooting with CF-Root. That's to show people having all sorts of trouble finding a CF-Root kernel that even though where I live there's a kernel to use. It's not difficult.
Files used:
GT-I9100_TTT_I9100UHKI2_I9100UHKI1_I9100UUBKI2.tar
CF-Root-SGS2_XW_INU_KL1-v5.0-CWM5.tar
Odin3 v1.85.exe
Go to: CF-Root 5.5
- On your phone, dial *#1234#
- You'll see PDA, PHONE, CSC, pay attention to PDA and the last characters. In my case it's KL1.
- Using CF-Root's thread, look for a kernel matching those three digits (CTRL+F the search function).
- Download the matching kernel, flash using Odin.
HOW TO FLASH KERNEL USING ODIN:
1. Put the device into Download Mode, the device will accept anything that can be flashed using Odin.
To do this, hold down the following key combination:
Volume Down + Home + Power
Samsung KIES, does not need to be installed for Odin to recognise your device. However, the Samsung USB Drivers needs to be installed.
Once you've put the device into Download Mode, where it's ready to accept whatever you can throw at it, Odin needs to see it. When you plug the device into the computer, it will show up in the Message box saying 'Added!'.
For example:

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Click PDA, select the CF-Root kernel you've deemed appropriate. Make sure to unzip the file or else Odin wouldn't be able to see it. It'll see the tar file though. It will not see the zImage inside the tar file.
This image is showing you where to put the CF-Root kernel to be flashed.
Start the process, it'll take less than ten seconds.
You've successfully rooted your device and replaced the stock recovery with ClockworkMod Recovery.
thanks for the info but i think you should move it to the general forum

This is the jb pic if u want change the boot animation go to theme and app and u will find how to change the boot animation
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Choose your rom , stock or another jb variation like cm10
Download it save it on your phone normally comes a .zip format
Download odin
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1722686
Download cf root to give you root and recovery(cwm)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1695238
Follow instructions of installing ( via a pc)
So now your phone has root plus a custom recovery if you press the 3 BUTTON combo of power+home+vol down it should boot into cwm based recovery 5.5.04 cf 1.5
Now once your in recovery you can "install zip from sd card "
Choose zip from internal
Select your zip you downloaded
And then yes.
Wait ~ till finished installing then "reboot system now"
Jb running on new phone .
Most custom roms come pre rooted , stock roms do not so will have to flash cf root again.
i miss anything ?
Custom boot animations require custom kernels which allow it . I use siyah but it is not compatible with jb.
Then scroll down to page where it says "need help installing custom boot animation" in themes and apps

[Q] How to install JB 4.3 AOSP SuperNexus 3.0 on i777 S2 att?

I have S2 (AT&T) i777 and custom ROM is already installed on it AOKP. (Please see the screenshot attached)
I came across this rom for S2: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2407458
Can I simply install this ROM on my phone ? any problem in going from AOKP to AOSP ? Do I need to do anything before doing this ? any kernel etc ?
As mentioned in the instructions in the thread of aosp super nexus rom:
Instructions
First time installing SuperNexus 3.0 to your device, or coming from another ROM:
- Copy Google Apps and SuperNexus ROM into your internal SD Card
- Boot into Recovery (Volume up + Home + Power)
- DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET (otherwise your device will be stuck at boot)
- Flash SuperNexus ROM
- Flash Google Apps' package
- Reboot your device
That's all I need to do ? I don't need to install any other thing on my phone ? any kernel etc ?

Update:
I tried installing the rom in recovery mode but it gave a bunch of errors.
I starting installing based on the assumption that I don't need to install any kernel ? please correct me if I need any kernel or any prerequisite in order to install supernexus ROM ?
Please direct me in a right direction.
What errors did it give ?? And did u follow the install instructions completely ?

If it started throwing assert errors, then it could be due to outdated recovery. If that's the case, then please update your recovery, or try a different one. For example I was using Philz touch cwm recovery, and I was unable to install aocp. Once I switched to the non-touch cwm recovery, it installed successfully.

[Q] SGS2 Stuck on yellow triangle boot screen

Hi guys
I flashed CF-Root-SGS2_XW_NEE_LPY-v5.6-CWM5 with odin3 v1.85
all done and shows Pass on Odin. on reboot it shows yellow triangle and displays goes off and phone is not starting
download mood and CWM is working i also installed neatrom 4.8 but it is still the same.
nead to fix this please help
Sounds like you've either used the wrong CFRoot, you've used one that has problems mounting secure storage (can't be bothered checking the one you used myself), or it's simply barfed for some reason. As long as you're not running Android 4.0.4 (VERY IMPORTANT, CHECK THIS FIRST !), boot into recovery & do a wipe/factory reset.
If you are running 4.0.4 or if the wipe doesn't work or you have no recovery, go back to stock via Odin to get a clean slate & try again (maybe do a bit more research first; these problems can almost always be avoided by doing same).
Cf root...wow thats old way. What firmware are you on mate?
i am using 4.1.2 official i have done a wipe/factory reset and its still the same
now what should i do? if you suggest me to do stock rom again could you please suggest me the link for best stock rom sgs2 4.1.2
it will be appriciable
I already told you in my PP.
There is no best stock rom; they're all the same apart from crap individual carriers put in them & differences in the modems. Get one for your carrier; it's not important which one (as long as it isn't 4.0.4 - stay away from those completely) given you're likely going to re-root your phone/flash a custom kernel/rom/whatever immediately after.
Go to Samfirmware, use the pulldown boxes, download the rom, flash it with Odin. You should know this stuff before you start trying to flash custom roms/kernels.
CF-ROOT is for ICS.Go back to odin and \flash siyah v6 or PhilZ !
