Is there a way that I can completely get rid of the status bar and soft keys or at least hide them. It just gets in the way, it messes up my wallpaper and I don't need them because I used app savior
If I can't hide it what is the dimensions of the status bar so I can make a wallpaper according
Does anybody have a template to make a wallpaper fit or at least the pixel ratio
Your launcher should have an option to hide the status bar, most third party launchers offer the option...
look in the tablet section of CM settings. also extra setting in other launchers

I would like to hide the status bar on my Neo.
I know that some apps do that like adw.launcher, but what I'd like is to change android source code in order to hide the status bar.
I think it's almost impossible. Devs for Launcher7 have done many efforts to try that, but didn't succeed. Try killing the statusbar sevice apk in the apps menu or with TiBu.
Edit: I can remember I once had the statusbar force closing, and didn't have a statusbar anywhere, but some other service might also stop running.
Use go launcher, it has that option!

Half of the launchers (AFAIK: ADW, Launcher7, LauncherPro, Go, ssLauncher...) have that option, but I think OP want's it outside of the launcher too.
Yes Go Launcher has this option.
You can add gestures and with a single slide to a chosen direction hide the status bar.

he wants to HIDE it not DISABLE it.
Ok ive tried it all Go launcher ex, launcher, pro ect but they only seem to be able get rid of the status bar in the homescreen and not the lock screen.
So my question is are there any apps for ics that would get rid of the status bar on the lockscreen ?
No, probably not. You can try installing an alternative lock screen that gives you the option of doing this, however.

Love the way you can get rid of status bar and also add widgets almost like having another home screen of its own
Is there any cc9 launcher apk files for mi a3?
Nova launcher pro, everytime on every phone ? Swipe up gesture to turn screen off, swipe down to show notifications. Widgets can overlap and resize freely. Has app drawer. I am not aware of other launcher with these (and many more) features.

You lose pie/Android 10 recents with Nova though.
For Android 9 I use Hyperion launcher
For Android 10 I use paphonb quickstep port (or lawnchair v2 early Android 10 release which is pretty buggy but usable)

I wasn't even aware that recent menu has changed with Pie. Just tried it and to be honest, I prefer the Nova recent menu. But maybe I'll give a chance to and try some other launcher with system recent menu support.

You will also need quickswitch magisk module to enable the recents view on custom launchers that support it

I have also nova pro. it really has cool features but i m looking for a launcher which without app drawer.
Stock launcher is good enough for me i like it, i use to use pixel launcher in my old phone, i already have pixel launcher in mi a3 so no need for 3rd party launcher

Nova settings -> app drawer -> gestures -> swipe to open/close. You can remove app drawer icon then. It's pretty close to the stock launcher behavior. Or, Nova settings -> home screen -> new apps -> add icons to home screen. Then you don't need to use app drawer at all, all new app icons will be on your home screen after installation (you will need to add existing apps manually though).
Nova since 4ever.
Swipe up for drawer, drawer have one page and everything in folders, double tap to turn off, swipe down for notifications , counter clockwise for settings.

Still like I said above you will lose the Android 9/10 recents view on launchers that don't support it. Nova being one of them
I'm a huge fan of Nova. It's the best launcher for Android ever made. But recently I've switched to Hyperion. It's really awesome. I really like the blur effect a lot. Immersive mode, gestures, screen lock-everything is there. It's the second best launcher imo.
I'll probably switch back to Nova eventually.
Another launcher I really like is Lean launcher. Super lightweight, super snappy launcher with not many customization options. Has Google feed & screen lock with double tap though. Allows you to hide apps & change the icon for individual apps.

Just wondering, what's so good on stock recent apps menu? I use it only to switch between apps. The omnipresent Google search bar irritates me, can it be disabled?

Just how fluid it is being able to open the app drawer from the recents menu by just swiping up on the dock and the way it fits with the gestures of Android 10 now aswel it's just way better in my opinion. But it is completely up to the person and what they prefer themselves. I can't tell you it's the best coz each to their own.
Also thats pixel launcher that has Google search. Aosp quickstep launcher does not have Google search in dock

I see, thanks for the explanation. So you basically like features which I prefer not to be present. Nova launcher with "old" recent menu seems to be the better choice for me. Anyway, going to try Hyperion, it sounds nice I'll give a chance to the quickswitch Magisk module too, maybe it'll grow on me.
Mine is Niagara, best simplistic launcher, best one handed launcher ive ever used.

I suppose you mean recen apps, because recent in general is the same.
+1 for Niagara and Lines icon pack.

Ya and the way you can access the app drawer by simply swiping up on the dock. It just all fits seamlessly with the new gestures
As subject says, anytime I try and his it also removed the app icon from home screen as well.
I'm new to one UI really, I've always used nova launcher, but one UI seems and looks nice now and nova hasn't been updated for a long time.
I was able in nova to hide any app but if it was on the home screen it would stay there which is what I want.
This is mainly just to tidy it up so I'm only left with the apps that aren't on home screen.
Any suggestions please?

James

I don't think you can do that with OneUI, since the hiding option itself is part of Home Screen Setting, so it's normal that it hide the icon from home as well.
I'd just stick with Nova. Am using Nova on my S23 as well. Doesn't matter how great many stock launcher have come, it just always lack one or two function that eventually make me just go back to Nova, lol.
