I have flashback 7.0 installed and its running great ( thanks devs!!)....only thing i cant figure out is that no matter what time i set the timeout to it automatically reverts back to 15 seconds. I've tried using widgets that set the timeout, rebooting immediately after changing the setting, but it always goes back to 15 seconds.
EDIT: Fixed...did some google searches & found the concept that another program was resetting the timeout....remembered I had installed Screebl which didn't work, forget to uninstall it, and it was resetting the timeout immediately. Uninstalled it and problem went away.

i've changed the settings so the screen timeout after 15 or 30 seconds but it won't, i block it, it goes off and after 1-2 minutes it's on again, what can i do ?
ps: i did a hard reset and it's the same problem..
Try seing if a running proccess activates you phone's screen.
If not, try searching the market for a settings tweak or flashing another ROM (Or simply the OC kernel).
I have no application installed.. only those installed in the phone..
For some reason my screen timeouts after like 15-20 seconds. I have changed it in setting but it doesn't alter the time. Its extremely annoying. Any one else experience this?

Been through everything....still can't figure this out. I had the screen off app. Uninstalled that but no dice. This is really pissing me off now!!

I was seeing a problem where the screen would go black and lock anytime I long pressed an icon, but that disappeared after a reboot and I haven't been able to reproduce it.
Yeah mine just shuts off. just tried the lock screen override in widget locker. That didn't help either. I've browsed system files and saw some that may be related but the changes I made to them did nothing. Switched them back and still stuck. I guess I could try reflashing...

I'm having this same issue, and its driving me bonkers.
Im working on my third flash of KP's Alien v.4... I know its not the ROM or the Theme (the screen behaves properly after flashing both). I think it has something to do with something that I am restoring through Titanium Backup. Hopefully Ill have some idea in a bit.
I am pretty sure it's widgetlocker. At least, after installing that is when I notice the problem. I ran my phone for like a day after upgrading to GB and the screen behaved like I wanted it to (45sec timeout) then I sat down and installed some apps, including widgetlocker and lo and behold, screen timeout back to 15sec. Annoying, but I like widgetlocker too much to get rid of it over that. I wish i know which database entry controlled the screentimeout.. I wonder if it could be manually overridden?
My screen seems to be behaving correctly now, even with widgetlocker running.
after wiping and re-flashing the ROM, i just restored my apps and app data, and didnt restore any system data. that seemed to do the trick.
I did fix mine and still use Widget Locker. I went into the display settings and selected 15 secs, then went to the home screen. Worked and times out at 15 seconds. Then went back in and moved it to my preference of 2 mins. Still timed out at 15 secs. I went back into display settings and hit 30 secs. Sure enough, worked again. I then went back in and climbed to the next amt of time, then back home. Did this until I got to 2 mins and all is well again. Who knows, but worked for me!
OK, folks, I have been searching and trying various search terms, but can't find anything.
MoPho unlocked, rooted, stock ROM 198_7....
I am having issues with the Display timeout reverting back to 30 sec. after varying scenarios. Occasionally I will rotate the phone, set up the kickstand and I'll notice when I set it down, it will timeout after 30 secs. I have it set to 5 minute (using Android Assistant) and have also used the 10 minute setting (stock timer under settings) and unit will STILL revert back to 30 secs. I have no clue WHY it does this, but hoping some one may be able to help. Having to constantly go back in and change this setting is getting REALLY annoying! Ay help is GREATLY appreciated!
Back from the dead! Haha... sorry... did you ever figure this out? I'm having the same problem on my LG G3.
Hi. Today I rooted my phone using Odin 3.7 and Siyah-s2-v6.0b5 kernel, everything went fine, installed few applications like Smart Launcher, customized everything and messed around with a phone but after few hours noticed that my menu and back button lights stay always on. I tried everything, turning energy saver on and off, changing button light duration (off to on etc) and nothing helped. Lights kept staying no matter what. They only turn off with the screen (I changed the setting to 15 seconds). Why is that?
Yes, I did factory reset too actually. All my applications are now gone (I hate doing backups, but whatever) and I thought it will sort this issue out but it didn't help. Is there something that could be done without flashing ROM or kernel again? I'm paranoid of bricking my phone.
I googled and seems like I'm the only one with this problem. Android version 4.1.2. First time noticed this problem today after rooting.
P.S. I tried also some moderators solution here: sys/class/misc/notification/led_timeout change value to -1 but no effect, value doesn't change, reverts back.
EDIT: sorry I don't find the option to delete the thread. The problem was solved using STweaks application (got the idea from some member here to edit option in BLN folder) and I set timeout to 1 sec and everything is fine now. Thank you stranger very much.
I have the al10 version non rooted with the latest non beta updates. The problem I have is that the screen does not timeout. Currently it's set to 30 second and changing it does not fix it. If I restart the device the timeout function starts working again but maybe after a day of use, the issue reoccurs.
Even if it's on the lock screen, it does not timeout. Now I could manually turn the screen off, but if I receive a message and it turns it on (lockscreen) it'll stay on which drains my battery.
I have already booted into recovery and wiped cache. Any other ideas besides having to constantly restart my phone?
