Install it by rebooting into recovery from cyanagogen mod by holding down the power button then click reboot then recovery (if your in CM7) then install it from there thats how its done.

Thanks for the response.
I tried using that method as well, and it wouldn't let me select any of the options once I got into CWM.

Actually nevermind, i think it worked finally. Instead of using the arrow, i had to use the power button to select.

One last question, how do i turn the feature on where you tilt the phone one way or the other the phone recognizes it.. (for games).

I know the answer to your question, but I'm sure my response wouldn't come quick enough for you so you'd better post this question on yet another forum hoping for a quicker reply. People do have lives and things going on outside these forums. Try to keep that in mind when the responses don't correlate with your timeline.

I understand that you as do I, as do other people reading this thread have lives outside of little piece of technology. Not sure where that came from, or the purpose. I posted it another forum seeking help, like I said at the other forum, i thanked you for your responses. I wasn't sure how long it would take for you or someone else visiting to get back to my question, so i went elsewhere. I was a little anxious that i screwed up my phone..
No hard feelings from me.

After I install Metamorph and I grant it superuser permission....I clcik on Start Checks...
it never completes the checks...it gives me a message "make sure you have enough room on /system"
is there something I am missing???
I use root explorerer and I see I have a folders on system....but not sure what to do
Thanks
It does that to me sometimes when first installing. You just need to keep re-trying until it actually does it. Apparently its an issue with the app itself, not necessarily your phone.
EDIT: That is, assuming you are rooted.

[Q] DSC 1.0

First of all I want to thanks _n0p_ for the amazing rom.
I gave up on Ginger Streak because the instability of it, too many reboots, battery life, etc.
But my question now is, the instalation procedures on DSC says that the baseband must be 406.
I flashed the "flash_me" file but in my phone it shows GAUSB1A40514-US.
This is correct? The phone is working flawlessly so I need or not to flash the 406 baseband?
It's ok. It will eventually change to 4062 (not 407), we still don't know why bb number leaves that ghost traces.
Thanks for the answer _n0p_ .
Here comes another one, I tried to donate some bucks to you but the paypal said that the Ukraine accounts cannot receive money, this user is not qualified to receive money.
There's another way to send a couple of beers to you?
I actually don't need donations.
Also, DSC ROM incorporates work of many people, so that'd be unfair.
I gonna hijack this thread quickly.. my aplogies.
I'm running DSC now for quite a while but I could never get AAC streams running. Why's that? No matter what app I use. It always stops and says unsupported or unknown media features. I know there had been an issue like that in an early Froyo build but why in GB? I'm going to get really frustrated soonish.

Are you sure it the ROM, not the platform?
Have you tested CM7?
I just got CM7.2 + DSC Kernel running.. AAC(+) works!
Again thanks to _nop_.
I only have two issues. When I try to use the pattern lock it tends to stick. I often have to repeat three or four times. I found the same with CM7 and the Olleh Rom.
Also when typing the keys occassionally freeze.
Overall though the DSC rom seems the best for me.

A complex problem with Vibrant [SOLVED!]

Hey Guys!
Prologue
I have a complex problem with my beloved Vibrant. First of all, I got it for Christmas a year ago. It had no issues, with a stock 2.1 (and after a kies update 2.2) firmware, it was fun for a first droid. After digging myself into the world of droids, I decided to root my baby, and put CM on it. It was about a month ago; I saw that there is a stable cm10 for the Vibrant. There were minor problems (could not exit cm recovery and boot the phone normally) with doing it, but at the end, it worked flawlessly.
Problems
Unfortunately, a few days ago, my phone started to have problems like "Trebuchet stopped working" and similar error messages appeared on screen. Yesterday my Vibrant stopped working. The only thing it could do was when I turned on, it showed cm recovery. I chose to reboot the phone, but again, recovery mode came up.
- Now, I use a stock 2.2 (Eugene's) but with this, I cant really use my Vibrant, except for calls and sms.
- Odin cant see my phone.
- I cant revert it to normal stock firmware
- When trying to put a cm10 to it, reboots into recovery it says: cant mount dev/block/mmcblk0p1
What I did
First of all, a lot of research. Really, a lot, but I suppose not enough, because I cant repair my phone.
- I tried to revert to stock (using AIO Vibrant toolbox). I put Cmenard's kernel (with cm recovery, as described in the official cm wiki howto) onto the phone, since then Odin cant see my phone.
- I have Heimdall, adb shell installed on windows, so tried some lines to revert the Vibrant to normal, no success
- Rooted with superoneclick, so I have root, and su.
Summary
My suspicion is that the internal SD card is corrupted. Anyhow, I tried to use parted, but cannot format my internal SD card. I found solutions that may help, but unfortunately I have no exterior SD card, to make those steps.
Any help would be highly appreciated, as I am starting to lose my mind, and I do not really have a backup phone (will definitely buy in January).
In the top of that, today is my birthday.
Greetings to all,
Dan

Yes, download mode is ok, 2 volume buttons pressed, then plug in the usb cable. Before the new kernel was put on, I used the same method and eg was okay with Odin, thats how I put on Eugene's mod as well.
No, (unfortunately) I use windows 7. Or do you mean, I should use ubuntu?

First and foremost, happy belated birthday. It's a shame this had to happen on your birthday... Especially since I have some rather bad news. In your post--which, by the way, was very well written--you mentioned getting the error "cant mount dev/block/mmcblk0p1" while in recovery. This is a pretty bad sign. More than likely, one of two things happened. Either you obtained the Encryption Unsuccessful bug or your internal SD card outright crashed. Either way you're going to need to purchase an external SD card if you wish to continue using your phone. No way around it bud, sorry.
I had the EU bug hit my device a month or two ago, and had to purchase an external SD card as a result. After partitioning the new SD card and tweaking the phone to run off of it, my phone runs great... But switching back to stock/installing a new ROM can be a tricky process...
Good luck. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.
Oh, and this guide should be able to help: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1580902

Thank you very much for the answer and the kind words. I will get an SD card then, I will need it later on anyway I guess. I will try this method you linked, and going to post about what happened (but not in the near future, Christmas is coming).
Good news, your phone runs great now after those things, it means I have a little chance at least. :fingers-crossed:
Thanks again, the best wishes for the holiday season!

Thanks! Yeah I was kind of disappointed, but maybe I can sort it out.
Okay, thanks again, and the best wishes to you as well!
Hey Guys.
Lately, I bought an sd card (class10, 16GB) and tried to breathe life into my Vibrant. Used this method (except the fact, that I used cm10):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1665123
Actually this worked.
Before that, I figured out, that Odin couldn't see my device because of some driver errors Heimdall caused. (Or Heimdall/zadig installed some other drivers, to be more precise.)
So after reinstalling those drivers from Vibrant AIO Toolbox, I used that method.
But.
The final step, where you edit the vold.stab file, those two lines are swapped for me. Anyhow I tried to edit both ways (as written originally in the post, and tried to swap the lines) but unfortunately after editing, saving the file, and rebooting, the phone just stays at the animated cyanogenmod logo. Nothing happens. Really, I waited an hour or so, still nothing. Tried to reinstall everything, clear cache, dalvik, then phone reboots again normally to cm10, but as mentioned in the post, camera does not work.
Any thoughts would be helpful here.
EDIT:
That post says it should be this after editing:
#internal sdcard
dev_mount emmc /mnt/sdcard 1 /devices/platform/s3c-sdhci.0/mmc_host/mmc0
#external sdcard
dev_mount sdcard /mnt/emmc auto /devices/platform/s3c-sdhci.2/mmc_host/mmc2
and my file contains this originally:
# internal sdcard
dev_mount emmc /storage/sdcard1 auto /devices/platform/s3c-sdhci.2/mmc_host/mmc2
# external sdcard
dev_mount sdcard /storage/sdcard0 1 /devices/platform/s3c-sdhci.0/mmc_host/mmc0
So it would be great to edit these two lines correctly.
Bump. Any help would be appreciated.
This is the last and only problem with my phone, and it doesn't look like it's an unbeatable problem.

Thank you very much! Wow, this worked like a charm! One zillion thanks!
Hopefully this thread will help out many Vibrant users experiencing problems like this one was. Thank you all once again.
Hi guys.
Since then, I have flashed the CyanAOSP 2.9.0 ROM into my beloved vibrant, new kernel (gearkernel universal 1.1.2) and everything works fine, 4.4 is flawless in this device as well,
however
I am now facing some problems again, as the system cannot access the sdcard part, so with rootbrowser I can edit files and anything else, but camera, music player and gallery is not working.
I am thinking of a vold.fstab editing, but as 4.4 has this no more, I am stuck at this point. Any ideas of how and what to edit? Tried build.prop, no success so far. In CWM I can see that the sdcard is not mounted. Mounting it also did not help either.
Edit: I would think, editing the fstab.aries would be the key in this process, but I cannot really tell which part needs to be edited.

[Q] [Help] Cant download apps through bieltv.3s CM7

Yesterday i flashed my s5380i to bieltv.3s CM7 and I also did install Gapps to it. But I cannot download apps. I just gives my an error stating something along the lines of "Could now download App/<name of app here> due to an error" and I don't have a clue as to how I can fix this since I don't know what's going wrong.
I would ask in the actual thread itself ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2080065 ) But this is a new account and I can't unless I make 10 posts on the forums.

Never mind after going a little search I found you could find out if youre using EXT4 or RFS through the terminal emulator. Downloaded the right .ZIP and it worked. Thanks man you were a great help.

Nook Tablet, 16 GB, AOSP Android 7.0

Followed all the steps in the detailed "[HOW-TO] Installing AOSP Android 7.0 "Nougat" Internally on the 16 GB Nook Tablet". During the process I was unable to install the suggested open_gapps-arm64-7.0. Tried several times, so right now I ended up with a mean and lean android system with 3 icons on the home screen. .
I'm a beginner doing this. So I attempted to copy superuser apk and the play store apk via usb connection to no avail. Don't even know where they ended up. I'm able to do a google search but it does not retain any bookmarks I'll be making, the reason being explained as I'll need an updated bookmark apk. (Which one??) and how do I install that?
Anyone out ther who can guide me in the right direction? Much appreciated. I do understand a little of the jargon being used in the forums here.

I'm sorry to tell you that those are the wrong GApps for the hardware. I will update the original instructions. What you need are the arm GApps, not the arm64 (remember, this is OLD hardware). The filename of the zip I used is open_gapps-arm-7.0-pico-20170310.zip
At this point, having done some fooling with the system, it's best to start the entire process over. That will give you the most stable result. You cannot install the PlayStore and have it function without GApps, so just forget that part. The superuser file I mentioned is a must, once you get the PlayStore working.
The Bookmark provider apk is already on the device. Re-read the second post in the instructions. You just have to tap to install it, for some unknown reason.
Thank so much for your quick response. You were absolutely correct that I was installing the wrong gapps, so I started over again with the 7.0 stock (error message), the nano (same thing) and finally the pico and that one worked. By that time I hit the sack. I found that out shortly after I posted the message. I kept reading and reading the instructions and completely overlooked the GAPPS choices I had. Even a very cryptic error message popped up that said something about "incompatible" and "arm". Duhh. So what I'm going to do is wipe it clean again (3rd time) and reinstall everything so I can do it in my sleep.
Regards

I'm lost. All I did during the previous wipes, went into Advanced Wipes and cleaned out everything. Did.n't format. So are you saying I format first (ext4) and then do a complete wipe? The last time I booted it seemed to be very unstable. Looked like an invisible finger was touching the screen. Jumped all over the place.

Me again. Everyting installed without a problem. Was able to get a couple apk from google plastore. Having said that, I also installed ES filemanager thinking it would give me root access. (no go.) No option under the developers option either. So gave up on that. Also I noticed that depending what apk I loade, the response time was rather slow. Also for no reason at all it came randomy up with "shutting down" messages. And it seems to execute some stored touch screens as it was going all over the place. At this point I'm going to be looking for something else. Again thank you for your help
