I have a new atrix on 183. Then I unlocked and rooted, and have the tenfar cwm. I updated the radio to 30p. Then I started trying out ROM's. Alien, Cherry Pi, Aura, but while I am able to load them successfully, I can't get wireless to work with any of them. Fearing I had ruined something I flashed back to 183 with the fruitcake. Now wireless works fine, and I am still on radio 30P!! So I tried Cherry Pi one more time, and still no wireless. What am I missing?
What's the exact failure?
1) Does wifi go straight to error?
2) Wifi can't find your router?
3) Wifi finds your router, tries to connect (WEP,WPA,WPA2?), fails, retries, fails...
4) ???
I would say is was more like option 3. I can identify wireless networks, but when I chose one and enter the password, it says obtaining IP address, and then it will hange there for quite a while, then switch over to diconnected, seraching, then obtaining again?
check your modem or do soft reset to your modem,

Back to stock (Odin), and than try reflashing. Looks like bad flash. Unless you had bad luck like me and core files got messed up...

My stock works fine, but whenever I flash I lose my data capabilities and I can't receive calls. Is that what it's like when your core files get messed up? If so, how to fix?
No, you have different problem than me than.... my does not connect at all in any rom.

Go to settings, network, mobile, check data, check roaming, then go to network operator, choose provider automatically.
After it finishes, go back and go to access point names and make sure you have the correct apn.
If not, please state the rom, kernel, and modem by going to settings, about.
After I checked Data and roaming and set it to choose automatically it said "registered on network" but when I went to APN it says no items.

Go to the Market, search for APN Global, install it and let it install your settings for your carrier. Let me know if you still need help.
Also, what is your carrier and which country? You have an I9000 kernel that's why I'm asking.
Hey, I noticed you folks were mentioning something like what I was having trouble with. My phone shows that I have a 3G or H connection; however, any app that uses data fails to connect. Any ideas on solving this? It seems as though Tomulek may have experience with my issue.

Here is my problem.
In fact, my gsm Internet connection used to work fine but recently, in the last updates, i have data situations. My Internet connection is blocked even whith the HSDPA icon.
I tried to fix this problem by:
-Doing wipes (factory, cache) reset
-Installing different recent roms
-Installing different kernel
My problem is not from my ICS upgrade. It came largely after.
Do you have any ideas how to fix this problem?

I kept a backup of an older rom. When i restore it, the Internet GSM Works again. But the problem stay with the most recent roms. I want to keep beeing updated.

Sounds like incorrect APN settings to me.
Maybe. Because sometimes when i try to search Network Operators, the phone keep searching until i use the touch "go back". But i have no idea how to fix.
Detail: My phone number is displayed as unknown. Everything works: Call, sms, i have the icon E,3G,H. But when i use the Internet navigator, i have the Orange(Operator) website which tell me that my phone is not compatible with the Internet connection. Sometimes, i have another website which suggest me to pay for an Internet connection. But i already pay an Internet connection. (Vultures)

I got wifi error right after flash firmware 2.06 (OTApkg.zip) directly from 1.15 without going to 2.04.
When i look into hardware information, both WiFi MAC address and Bluetooth address in unavailable. I am still got pop up message if any wifi available but unable to connect. I have tried to flash firmware 2.04 and 2.06 again but still have problem.
Please help how to recover both address. My DNA is s-off.

Have your wifi problem solved with flash ruu 1.15?
I rooted and flashed SlimBean [Build 6.9] yesterday. Everything looks good, except I cannot connect to my WEP secured WiFi. The network and correct password are stored, but when I hit connect nothing happens. I've tested WiFi out on a non-secure network and it worked fine. Is there any solution to the WEP problem?
WEP is really insecure and can be cracked normally in under ten seconds now. Can you not use WPA2 or at least WPA android seems to have issues with WEP.

I don't have access to the router, so I guess I'm out of luck.
in settings/ WIFI hit menu then advanced and set frequency band to only 2.4 and see if it helps also check the box "best performance" first and try the frequency change with it on as well. best of luck. is it a N signal or G,B ect.? also what are the first xx:xx of you wifi mac since maybe it doesn't have a true one, the first two indicate manufacture and should be of HTC i believe.

Problem solved. Just flash rom stock 2.06, and wifi back to normal.

I believe that my phones radio capabilities may be disabled. I tried to root my phone but ended up flashing it with an ftf file and now i cant connect to my mobile network with my phone, Ive tried multiple simcards and flashing my phone a few times with different ftf files.
Everything else on my phone seems to be working fine except ability to connect to mobile network carrier.
I cant unlock the bootloader or use s1tools because it cant recognise the certificate or something like that, I can flash and root the phone though.
can i save my phone and how?

Today i flashed and rooted my unlocked xperia x10i with flashtool and the provided .ftf file, "X10_V1_BLRelock.ftf". Pretty much after that my phone had been reset and i couldn't connect to my mobile network.
During the initial setup after the flash, my phone asked me to "Please insert sim card and restart your phone", Now in the drop down bar is has a "No service, selecting network (yes optus) is unavailable). Originally with this phone and my x10a the other networks had a red circle indicating i couldn't access them however right now i can try to connect to all of them but fail. everytime i try to connect i get the message "Your simcard does not allow connection to this network". My APN list is blank but it has always been blank.
My simcard works in another phone, other simcards dont work in my phone. I tried flashing my phone again and rooting it again, with multiple ftf files. I was going to try installing another rom for jellybean, but i cant because my adb drivers are stuffed and ill figure that out later if need be.
I live in australia and the imei is fine, hasnt changed and im not even sure if that would effect the phone from functioning here. I have no idea is its affected the phones radio or frequencies if supposed to function on, help would be greatly appreciated.
I cant receive or make phone calls, texts messages, anything that relies upon me being connected to my carrier. everything else seems to work fine including my home internet. i also used that *#*#4636#*#* and that didnt really tell me anything i dont think.

So, Iv'e been perusing these forums for a number of days now, and have successfully managed to transfer an old Verizon Droid Incredible 4G LTE over to T-Mobile's Family Mobile Service. I did run into some hiccups along the way, but I did manage to flash TWRP recovery, unlock the bootloader, and achieve S-OFF successfully. I also updated the firmware of the radio since I was not even able to connect to any mobile network previously.
The phone is running CM 10.2.1 fireball currently, and functions well if not for a few minor issues. However, I am unable to connect to the 3G service at all, and am forced to attempt to browse the internet at EDGE speeds. I made sure to turn all the location services on while the phone was running stock and connect to GPS as per the installation instructions. I searched around various other threads for methods others have tried, which helped me root the phone and install CM in the first place, but I still cannot fix this last issue. I have tried fiddling around with various mobile network settings for a while, but still cannot resolve the issue. Now the phone is unable to connect the the Internet successfully through Wi-Fi or Edge.
If anyone can offer me some guidance, or needs more information regarding my phone in order to help me properly, please let me know, it will be greatly appreciated.
UPDATE 4/16/14:
So I ended up restoring a stock recovery, after trying out various CM11 builds to no avail. I managed to find a baseband radio on a Chinese forum which allows me to connect to 3G, but was unsuccessful in finding any radios that would support the 1700/2100 bands required for T-Mobile 4g LTE speeds. I would be interested in learning how to port a compatible T-Mobile radio which supports the LTE bands, but my searching attempts have not been successful so far.
