[Q] Need some assistance with establishing a 3G connection to T-Mobile. - Verizon HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE

So, Iv'e been perusing these forums for a number of days now, and have successfully managed to transfer an old Verizon Droid Incredible 4G LTE over to T-Mobile's Family Mobile Service. I did run into some hiccups along the way, but I did manage to flash TWRP recovery, unlock the bootloader, and achieve S-OFF successfully. I also updated the firmware of the radio since I was not even able to connect to any mobile network previously.
The phone is running CM 10.2.1 fireball currently, and functions well if not for a few minor issues. However, I am unable to connect to the 3G service at all, and am forced to attempt to browse the internet at EDGE speeds. I made sure to turn all the location services on while the phone was running stock and connect to GPS as per the installation instructions. I searched around various other threads for methods others have tried, which helped me root the phone and install CM in the first place, but I still cannot fix this last issue. I have tried fiddling around with various mobile network settings for a while, but still cannot resolve the issue. Now the phone is unable to connect the the Internet successfully through Wi-Fi or Edge.
If anyone can offer me some guidance, or needs more information regarding my phone in order to help me properly, please let me know, it will be greatly appreciated.
UPDATE 4/16/14:
So I ended up restoring a stock recovery, after trying out various CM11 builds to no avail. I managed to find a baseband radio on a Chinese forum which allows me to connect to 3G, but was unsuccessful in finding any radios that would support the 1700/2100 bands required for T-Mobile 4g LTE speeds. I would be interested in learning how to port a compatible T-Mobile radio which supports the LTE bands, but my searching attempts have not been successful so far.
Current Specs on the phone:
Android Version: 2.17.605.2710RD
Baseband Version: 1.53.51.0528
S-Off
DirtyRacun's Hboot
Clockwork Touch Recovery (the latest version)

[Q] Motorola RAZR V XT885 unable to find out how to get a ROM on this phone

Well met.
I am hoping that I can find some answers here on how to get a custom ROM on this phone.
It is a Motorola RAZR V XT885 purchased from Bell Mobility (GSM) in Canada. It is carrier unlocked. (img 1) shows all the info on the "about phone" screen. It looks and has the same stats as the MT887 and the generic Motorola RAZR V Canada
It has already been rooted successfully. I have a backup in case something goes wrong. I tried installing SafeStrap 3 but from Hash-of-Codes email to me, it does not work with my Razr. Fortunately it did not brick my phone.
I am not adverse to trying BootStrap or similar if it will give me the results I want. Again I run into the issues of finding instruction for the family of phones but none for my model in particular.
The problem I am running into is that most of the info on this phone or those in its family are for CDMA phones and if I am understanding correctly, if I use any of those roms/basebands/updates, they will brick my phone although the rooting procedures are the same. I need more than root as I see no point unless I want to take off some bloatware.
So here is what I am looking for:
(1) A way to install a recovery on the phone. Once I get past this hurdle, I think I can navigate my way through getting a rom on it.
(2) I am hoping to update the radio on it as it keeps putting my Wind Mobile into away mode. There was an update with version number 6.16.215 for the Droid Razr/Razr Maxx. and I do not know if it would work on my phone because it looks like it is only for CMDA version.
Here is some base info on the phone:
GSM frequencies :
850 900 1800 1900
Standard UMTS :
850 900 1900 2100
xHTML
WAP v2.0
HSCSD
HSDPA 14,40 Mbit/s
HSUPA 5,76 Mbit/s
HSPA
HSPA+
Thank you in advance for any help/direction given to help me with this phone.
How to root? And did you find custom ROM?
I also have the exact same phone, XT885 (got it off of Kijiji). Unfortunately, it keeps saying "Obtaining IP address..." when I try to connect to WiFi. Did some research, and found there's something wrong when I tried to hard reset. It is something called "Dead Android Red Triangle (DART)" but exactly sure what that means. So here's what I would like help with:
How can I get rid of the "Dead Android Red Triangle (DART)"? Is it possible?
Is there any possibility to somehow connect to WiFi, if I can't get rid of DART?
How can I root the phone to remove the bloatware?
And what custom ROM did you install, or still searching for it? I can't seem to find much data on XT885.
And last but not the least, is it OK to download apk files of paid apps from internet, and install them on an Android smartphone? I assume Google can easily determine the legitimate apps on my devices as I have signed into my Google account which shows what apps I have bought. The XT885 came with numerous pre-installed premium apps, and when connected to my laptop I see I can save these apk files for future use.
Just want to know if it is OK to do so.
Thanks in advance for all your help

[Q] i537 qpst no phone?

First, please forgive me as I am a novice at best,
My wife bought 2 unlocked i537 for us for Christmas off of ebay from different sellers. We are currently with T-mobile and notice that the 4g seemed to drop in and out. Upon reading the "[GUIDE] Using I537 on T-Mobile and other AWS Networks", I successfully got one phone to work, however I have been trying for a week, almost 2 weeks to get the other one to work with no success. I've tried numerous drivers, pc, cable etc... I've compared the settings on the phones *#0808#, *#2264#, *#0011# *#*#4636#*#* and any of the others I've found.
Android version 4.2.2
Kernel 3.4.0-784654 [email protected]#1
Build JDQ39.I537UCUAMF3
SELinux status Permissive
My question(s) are:
1. Is there a way to get qpst to recognize the com port without coming back with "no phone"
2. Is there another tool or software I could use to do the AWS flash?
3. If none of the above, Would it be possible or even correct to copy something from the working phone to the non-working phone? of course without damaging the IMEI/ESN...
Instructions are helpful as I am new to this, but very interested in learning.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!!
You'll probably get the help you need in the S4 Active Q&A section (i'm assuming it's the device you have)

G925F No 4G and slow 3G

Ive had a little problem for a few months now also searching everwhere to see if i could sort this problem out but no luck..
Cant make calls, sms or connect to the internet on the 4G network
4G also wont register on the network when its set to 4G only in mobile networks
Its also very sluggish when it comes to 3G and only works when it wants to, also noticed turning mobile data off and calls and sms works perfectly
Ive removed root and reflashed the stock rom using kies air/smart switch, also performed a factory wipe before flashing stock rom
Flashed with twrp and odin with the latest modem files
Tested Sim card in another S6 and works fine with 4G ect..
Device: G925F / G925FXXU3DPDP
Sadly i never backed up my EFS file at the first time of root but my IMEI hasnt changed
Root is currently avtive and willing to try some methods out!
Hopefully someone here can help me out, Thanks Jigsaw
Just got a 4G connection so i decided to test the internet connection managed to get a 16mb donwload with Speedtest but yet i got no upload and it switched back to 3g/H+

LTE is not working

Hi, I downloaded and installed Lineage ROM, everything was working fine but I found that I was not able to send text messages (receiving messages was okay), I tried change values under test menu (*#*#4636#*#*) but problem persist.
I tried clean installation of new ROM (Aosp).
I tried install new firmware from:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/re.../firmware-xiaomi-redmi-note-5-5-plus-t3759683
And baseband from :
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=746163614322262750
And finally, text messages are OK, unfortunately I am not able connect to 4G/ LTE networks now. Only 2G and 3G networks are working. LTE services were working without problem on original Miui and Lineage ROM.
Can someone try help me how solve it ? I would really appreciate any ideas.
Do you think this can help?

Thanks in advance and happy weekend
i have the same question! +1
I tried fresh install original MIUI ROM, but it did not help
http://en.miui.com/getrom-340.html?m=yes&mobile=2 .
LTE is not available still.
I did not try this method still: https://androidfilebox.com/app/redmi-5-plus-modem-firmware/
But I don't have another option I guess.
With LTE no Problems = https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-5/development/rom-omnirom-t3823189
Unfortunately LTE is not working on this ROM (Omni) for me too, but I expected it, because as I wrote I tried original MIUI as well. It's problem of wrong firmware, baseband, modem or something, because hard reset or flashing new rom don't fix it. Btw, this morning I was in big city in my country and my phone was able connect to LTE, but it was 1800 or 2100 MHz, which are available only in bigger cities. When I came back to home, it showing only H+ again. It seems my phone is not able to connect only to LTE on 800 MHz (B20) currently, which is most widespread LTE frequency in my country and this one is only available one in my location. And I was able connect to this network before. Unfortunately I don't know how I can bring it back.
Solved.
My friend share her .xqcn file with me (she has same phone) so I flashed modem file via QPST Flash Tool to my device. Xiaomi started receiving LTE in my location- B20 frequency band, unfortunatelly it was continuously connecting and disconnecting between "no signal" and 4G.
The next step was flash MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM 8.8.9 to my phone via Miflash. LTE seems be stable and fully working now.

PLEASE HELP!! Carrier Switch or Just Flash Carrier Rom?

I have a T-Mobile version of Note 8 purchased from Samsung. T-Mobile unlocked it for me since it was purchased in full and I used it on Verizon with no issues (even received ota updates). My current setup shows SPR/SPR/TMB. I am currently on bootloader v4 and I am not rooted.
AP:N950USQU4CRF3
CP: N950USQU4CRF3
CSC: N950UOYN4CRF3
I am trying to have the latest Note 8 sprint firmware (N950USQS4CRE1).
Current Problems I hope to solve: VoLte does not work, keep getting random MMS error 225, internet super slow although I just got the service and on unlimited plan. Internet is slow in multiple zip codes despite them saying 4g LTE is covered in those zip codes.
What files would I need/Where would I go to get them?
Do I need to "carrier switch?" If so, I don't see any v4 files and after searching the thread I am still at a loss. Any help is appreciated.
