Music Stops When Gaming - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is it possible to keep the music on when playing a game? The games ive tried so far all stop the music (even when I mute the game audios). Im not sure whether it is because of music vs game audio interference or the internal task killer is killing the music app (Ive tried multiple music apps, all stop). But when I replay the music it does start from the beginning rather than where it stopped playing when I started the game.

[Q] Verizon GS4 Not Playing Music

Hey guys, a couple of days ago I just found out that my native music app wouldnt play the music on my phone. It doesn't even show the EQ moving while the song is play. It just sits there. Youtube and any other sound playback is fine but for some reason the music player isnt playing back any of my songs. Anyone experience this or know of any suggestions?

Sound

Hi, I have issues with my sound. Whenever I play games, my songs that I play using the walkman player will just stop the music. When I disable in game sounds and play music, the music will lower down the volume itself and I need to restart the phone to get it to normal loudness. The songs also skip and replay by themselves whenever I finish a stage in a game.

is it a spesific game or all games because some games do it because they are designed like that, an example of this is Modern Combat 4, music is stopped during the app loading up after being opened

I do this for modern combat. You start music player. I use Walkman when game starts music stops so I drag down notifications and hit play , if you're not fast enough it will time out

[BUG] Music players suddenly close

Hi.
I have the XT1523 (4G+16GB+DTV) and everytime I listen to music (from my sdcard) the player suddenly closes. It happens even with Spotify when I stream music. Does anyone face this problem?
The system version is 5.0.2 - LXI22.50-24.1.
My wife and I both have an issue with our moto e's and Pandora. LTE 8gb on Cricket. Both our Pandora's skip through songs like crazy. However, I haven't experienced and local music skipping using the sd card or even Deezer (like Spotify and amazon instant music). Still trying to figure out why Pandora skips too
Mine does something similar. When browsing web pages with Opera, Amazon Music will crash (even though I wasn't listening to any music.) It doesn't happen with Chrome, and I don't have any problems with other music players (Play Music, and Poweramp.) Not a huge deal, compared to other bugs I've found. Does Maps work for you?

The music player bug happens to me whatever, not depending on the browser or the media player I am using.
Maps app works fine here.
Might be the music player is being closed because of lack of RAM.

I was afraid that it was the reason, then I installed a very tiny player (Omich Player ~ 700KB). Not even this helped solving this issue.

Google play music closing in background

Recently upgraded from a z3c (with sony concept software) to a z5c. It's been pretty sweet but I'm getting really frustrated with Google play music being killed in the background whenever music is paused. This happens when I've moved from the play music app to another with the music paused (usually about a minute or so. after switching apps). It's extremely frustrating as I can't just carry on playing music once I'm done whatever I'm doing in the other app; I have to re-open google play music and click play again. This is particularly annoying when I'm in my car as I use a bluetooth head unit which I can pause/play music, which won't work if the app has been killed i.e. I'd have to open the app again on my phone which I obviously can't do when I'm driving.
Does anyone have any ideas? So far I've tried un-optimising the app in the battery settings, clearing the cache, stopping other processes (to make sure I'm not maxing out the RAM) but with no success. I'm not a power user and haven't got the phone rooted, and would like to avoid it if possible. Any help would be much appreciated!
