yes, you can download it and it will not "force" you to install it right away. when the download finishes it will ask if you want to install now or later, just pick later.
as an FYI - the file gets downloaded to /mnt/sdcard/download/

This is really the only thing I want to know, I don't care if someone posted in wrong place, or any of the other BS, just want to know if this update has any ill effects, like removing s- -off.
