My galaxy s2 with no imei and no baseband ??? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

How can i solve this problem
with this problem: Imei : unknown baseband : unknown
after my phone fall this problem appear how can i solve this please i need you (giant)
Pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase

It may be becruse of your rom

I am having this issue too, I have tried several roms to but all have this issue. I am now on the stock o2 rom and the problem is still there, anyone else had this?
Thanks

My P500 doesn't display an IME either after installing Cyanogenmod... at least on the P500 it's a known issue, but beyond that you may have more luck in the galaxy forums, as there are more people there with the same device.
Just ask the moderator (PM) to move it.

Hey brother can you tell me how to solve this problem ?
I have same problem here cant call and text

Try this:

buddy tell how to fix this!

Imei no base band eror solved
I have cross the same issue before... But my s2 working fine..

This error occurs sometime when flashing a new ROM. So, first of all you should backup your EFS-map. But for that it is too late hehe.
Reflashing works sometimes. I know that when installing a MIUI ROM you should also flash a zip-file that backups your imei, otherwise you'll have no carier. Maybe you should flash that EFS-backup zip-file and then reflash a ROM?
Hope is works for you buddy, goodluck.

you get it from Android market or new Android market, the only thing is your phone must have root, there is efs file and another file, not to sure but I flashed my Samsung galaxy back to Android 2.3.5 with a rom I got from Xda and now I dont have super user and the only way to use HC-KTool is if your phone has root, super user permissions, you can also try KTool is the same thing on the Android Market, you can also get Root explorer, rom manager they both have efs files but you must have root, so simple download new Android Market from 4shared.com then download HC-KTool or KTool from the new Android Market, good luck!

I am facing the same problem of unknown baseband version and IMIE no. Although i didn't do anything weird with my sgs2. I have been using it four 5 months now and its stock (Not rooted no any roms installed). Just today i faced this problem after i was changing between some sim cards. I tried factory reset a no. of times but it didn't help. Kindly help since i don't want to end up with just an "expensive media player" like someone quoted here! In dire state now

sim signal problem showing no service

My czn galaxy s2 is working perfectly has xwlpd 4.03 except he detects sim but shows no service for sim...
plzzz help me...
i will be very thankful to u.........
Hi!
Since you are new here, it might be the best time for you to read the forum rules just to get you informed.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/announcement.php?a=81 check it out!
1. try inserting your sim in another phone, if you find a signal in the other phone, then there might be something wrong with the s2..
if there is still no signal, then it is a network related problem and call your network operator
2. if you find a signal in the other phone and not in your s2, then you must flash a modem..
DEFINITION:
*Modem/Radio/Baseband is all the same thing and can be seen by going to Settings - About Phone - Baseband. It's basically a driver which receives and sends Mobile Network signals as well as handling switching between GPRS, 3G, HSDPA etc....... (but not WiFi connection, that and switchover between Mobile Network and WiFi is handled by the kernel). Reasoning as to why Modem has no influence on WiFi can be found in this post by Entropy - http://<b>http://forum.xda-developer...count=6556</b>
USAGE:
*There is no one "Best" modem for everybody. Unfortunately you actually have to try to find the modem which works perfectly for you on performance, strength and battery drain levels. The good thing is that from my lengthy 8 month experience with Galaxy S2, I'm happy to report that there are a few modems that seem to perform well geographically for most users. These modems are KE7, KH3, KI3, KI4, KL1, LPS, NEKF2, NELP2 & NELP3.
COMPATIBILITY:
*Modems do not need to be matched up with firmware like it's done with ROMs and Kernels. For example, a KI4 modem can be used with a KL1 ROM and the other way round. The only thing you need to pay attention to is what model your SGS2 is. 9100 and 9100 modems are compatible across both models. However, 9100 model and US variants are not cross compatible since the devices are designed to work on different bands.
INSTALLATION:
*I will add a flashing guide to post number 5 soon, hence why it says "Work in progress.....". For the moment I suggest asking Mr. Google to do a search for you. Bottom line is, for CWM packaged modems you need to be rooted and have a working CWM recovery (flash the CWM modem zip within recovery). For .TAR packages, all you need to do is flash it while your device is in Download Mode and connected to ODIN. The .TAR file should be selected in the PHONE field. Don't touch anything else.

i do nothing, my phone is genuine...i didn't try to change rom or to do something...the problem is appared suddenly.
How can i fix the problem? imei code is intact and my telephone operator didn't block my phone or imei...
i know that in this forum there are some topics about this problem, but it is very difficult for me find them...
help me please...i haven't assistance...
thank you
Look for the serial, if it starts with 00000 or something like that, you nees to use Ariza Patch.

If it helps...
...my wife had this problem last week. Phone was saying that it was not registered on Network. Looked around on the net, checked settings on phone and found that if you turn the phone off for a few minutes and back on, it re-registered to the network. Very basic, don't know why it did it, but it's now OK

This is the problem: imei code is ok but there is "not registered on network"
About the other solution, i'm going to try it but i don't think it will work for me..
Is there a final solution? It is impossible that we can't solve the problem..
Thank you all..

No you will need proof of ownership and a Samsung repair centre .
Check first did your custom rom backup efs
there is no any efs folder.
what should i do?
did you try to flash an emg2 or emg4 baseband? some have reported that this can restore network connection
i didnt try it yet,

ariza patch is for serial no not imei.it does not help withj the new modems and may actually make things worse.
i tried to flash alot of roms so far, nothing helped.
the problem is the the devide was bought outside the country and there are no service center for that device..

Please post your baseband version. You most likely don't have the correct modem. They specifically recommended to use or be on the XXBMD6 base before installing the rom in the Developer thread.

Hello! I have Samsung Galaxy Trend S-7562, which was probably made in Malaysia. I got it as a gift. I wanted to install KyleOpen Rom and did install but I missed to be on XXBMD6. There is no network since. Later I again downloaded and went on XXBMD6 and again installed KyleOpen Rom. But the network didn't appear. I am so frustrated. My parents are not going to buy me a new phone which is very sad.
I went to costumer care of samsung and they said they are not able to fix the problem. I think the network problem is because of the wrong Kernel and Modem I am having currently. So are there any expertise who can help me. That will be much appreciated. Thanks!

You can't just flash a rom based off of that. You need to either flash the entire firmware or you should just be able to grab the modem from the firmware, but probably best just to do the whole thing to make sure everything is set up as it is supposed to between the modem, bootloader, etc.
What should I do now?

http://sampro.pl/firmware/android/samsung-gt-s7562/
the original firmware you had on it would have been the one from China on 4.0.4 unless you had changed that, which I am sure you would have known, but if it was working before, then it should be good to go.
Messed up.

Okay! All I did was downloaded KyleOpen ROM, flashed it and the Kernel. I lost the network here because I was NOT on XXBMD6 or whatever they wanted to be in. So i downloaded the XXBMD6 and again flashed it and installed KyleROM. Still No Network and I took it to Samsung costumer care here and i don't know what they did. I think they flashed some other firmware because, I think the baseband was not "S7562ZCMB2" before flashing KyleOpen ROM. So, do you think I/they changed my firmware? I forgot which baseband I was in. I sound like I know nothing.

[Q] [Urgent] Phone works fine, but cant make/recieve calls or msgs

Hey
Ive had the ace for a while. It was on stock, then i rooted it and put it on Touchwiz ressurection. It worked fine but was slow
Then i updated it, and for some reason it couldnt make calls or msg, or couldnt recieve them. It says Conditinal call forwading active
Ive flashed original firmware now and the phone works fine but i still cant call or msg as it still says Conditional Call forwarding active. For some reason also it says sim error if i try to get to the call forwading page. Ive tried lots of sims. Oh yeah and 3g works, which is odd?
What do i need to do? This is really urgent and i have no clue! Im without a phone ATM.
- Hopeless

Follow what @amolgosavi suggested. If it works, well and good If that doesn't work either, try installing Rafael's Kernel

Did you make any kind of backup of your IMEI... Maybe written it down on paper, or best of all, made a backup in galaxy toolbox?
I think there is a way to restore you IMEI if you know what it is, using a hex editor. You may have to search on google for it

Don't need to write IMEI number anywhere its just on back of the Phone , remove your battery and see .
To restore it try Hex Editor Method (search it).
Ok.
Ive tried to flash firmware from india thats already been SplitFussed, didnt work.
I tried flashing ThunderKernal, didnt work
Tried Rafael's kernal, still didnt work...
I still get 'conditional call forwarding active'
Whats the problem here? This is REALLY ANNOYING! I cant use this phone at all, and my parents are going to get mad at me!
