Whilst your concerns are valid, you have posted this thread in the wrong forum. This doesn't belong in the dev forums, it belongs in the the Question and Answer forums here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1152
P.S. xRecovery is pretty much redundant now for roms higher than Android 2.1 eclair, as ClockWordMod (CWM) Recovery is what everyone uses. There is a .zip you can flash in xRecovery which upgrades the recovery to CWM recovery which will be the recovery you need to install mini cm7, (however if what you say is true, that the moment you turn your phone on and repeatedly press back it doesn't enter xRecovery, then you will need to use Sony Ericsson Update Service or PC Companion or the Sony Ericsson website software page to repair your phone, then you will need to root your phone again and install xRecovery) ; here is that .zip that upgrades your xRecovery to CWM recovery: View attachment CWM3_for_xReC.zip Good luck
and don't post questions in the development forum again! Post them here instead please! : http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1152

do it? you will loose your data but... your phone should work again.
I think you anyway need custom kernel for that rom..
you can try fix with seus or you can find the stock rom and flash via flashtool

but will this rooted ROM work if i change the kernel to something else like nightelf stock kernel .... ???
or have anyone tested it yet ???

Root privileges are integrated in this kernel. So you will not stay rooted almost for sure, if you flash another kernel which is not prerooted...

You will be able to update normally to ICS using PC companion, but to be ablolutely sure, you better relock your bootloader before the update...
@bbooff: few days ago I flashed ICS beta from sony page, and I used your kernel for hot boot just so I can install zip with superuser stuff.
Today I flashed stock .62fw, and wanted to hot boot with your kernel, but no luck, I needed to flash it in order to boot into CWM.
You got any idea why id did cooperate on ICS and not on clean .62
Also I couldn't do factory reset while I was using your kernel. I guess that is kinda normal as it's not stock kernel, but still I thought it should work

I have no idea!
The opposite is what should had happened.
I think that if you reinstall 0.62 (using flashtool and not wotan) and then my kernel, everything will be o.k.
If you install a custom kernel, you can do a factory reset through the cwm menu.

Actually I did used flashtool.
After I flash your kernel I can enter cwm. problem is if I try hot boot it.
and about factory reset, I know we can do it via recovery, but is it normal that we can't do it from phone?

it allows you to boot with kernel without flashing it.
your kernel is very good.... simple and easy... helped me restore my phone back...
But now i am facing one more problem...
whenever I try to install any other kernel through fastboot, that kernel does not work; instead your kernel starts booting up...

No Im not angry. You are probably better getting your phone back to stock stuff until you know a bit more about flashing/rooting/roms etc.
You only learn by reading then doing the mods. Then you know to make a backup so when you try something new,and theres a problem, you run the backup and its fixed quickly.
If you cant reflash the kernel, you can run pc companion. There are guides on here how to do it(see posts by me and milton.bain) because people are connecting the phone TOO EARLY and it doesnt work.

If you flash nAa-11 kernel (2.6.29.6-nAa-gb-11), use MiniCM7, although you should you the 13 or 14 version of this kernel with that ROM.
If you flash 2.6.29.6-nAa-jb-03 kernel, use MiniCM10, although you could also use the 2.6.32.61-nAa-jb-06 kernel to run that.
Use the kernel that is recommended in the ROM post to get useful results, they won't just mix and match. If you flash a kernel designed for Gingerbread, neither stock ROM, nor JellyBean (MiniCm10) will run and you will get stuck on the kernel-logo.
So, If you get stuck on the kernel-logo, flashing a different kernel won't help, only installing the proper ROM for that kernel will give you a usable phone.
MiniCM9 is not recommended, if you want to run something higher than Gingerbread (minicm7), then you should go for JellyBean (minicm10).

Results in PC Companion and SEUS will be the same. It's either a regional thing or a provider specific ROM that causes that. Sony will only update original SE ROMs.
Try to flash this with flashtool and see if that solves your problem. It may not actually be 2.1.1.A.0.6 like it says, but it should give you a working phone and probably enable you to update it through PC Companion or SEUS afterwards.

Please use SE tweaker tool to root and install CWM Recovery. SE Tweaker tool (also works on X10 mini): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1462278

You have to use a ROM that supports the stock kernel. So all you do is download a ROM zip and flash CWM Recovery. An example is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1201116 It should work on X10 Mini BTW.

I finally installed cm6 on my phone. But i still have problem. It always restarting after the sony ericsson text (not the logo) but sometimes it can open 'til the homescreen but still it will shut down automatically.
I tried pc companion but when i try to connect my phone, its just restarting all over. I thought if I would install a custom rom, it will repair the phone.
What's the difference between flashing the phone via pc companion and installing custom rom via cwm recovery?

Flashing the 2.1 FTF with flashtool will reset your whole phone and it should fix your problem. If it doesn't, it means that you have a hardware problem.

You can use the 2.1.1.C.0.0 ROM. It was an update for the x10 mini pro in certain areas, but it will run on the x10 mini too, since there is no hardware specific stuff in the ROM itself. You will probably lose root and cwm though when you flash it.
I've got an 'undressed' 2.1.1.A.0.6 I made for myself in zip-format which includes root and cwm, but i took out all the google stuff, so there's no market in it.
If you want to know if your phone is ok, just wipe everything and install the 2.1.1.C.0.0.
