UPDATE: According to our friend, the updated version of PC companion doesn't work anymore, so please check the instructions on this video!

Hello.
I'm having problems with my XPERIA x10i phone. This morning I was changing the case with new one. The full case, not just the cover. And then, my software was stuck in a loop at the Sony Ericsson logo. I tried installing the software with PC Companion, Update Service, FlashTool and none of them seems to work! They all stuck at the same place!
What could be the problem???
Thanks in advance!

I thought of that and I've reassembled looking at this video youtube com /watch?v=JVBTCgAzkY4
I did everything like in the video. If I didn't put anything correctly, the phone wouldn't start... :/
Any specific ideas to look for?
Thanks a lot!
If you had the battery disconnected during your work changing the case (and you definitely should), then put your phone to charge in wall plug for at least 15 minutes (or even more) and then try to turn it on...

I've tried and after 5 min. the phone start itself and starts the loop.
I've installed older version of FlashTool and read this line:

I'm trying again...

After flashing I'm facing the problem. Now, the phone just shows the lights on the screen, no SE logo...
The flashing finishes perfectly with no errors and the phone is connecting again in flash mode with the green LED in the upper part. But, when I try to turn on the phone, just the blank screen is lighted, no logo...
Is my phone dead?
I think so
Sorry I can't help you.
Edit. Have you tried another firmware/re download the file? Just in case. Good luck bro.

Yes I tried. Do you have any working firmware (tried)?
In the service center, the guy told me something about wiring the phone under the battery. That was the last hope for the phone...
Thanks!

What is your exact model? Because you stated you were running Gingerbread 2.3.3 on it... Was that the original firmware it came with? I think you need to be in this forum, for the 'big' X10, and not the X10 Mini (e10i).

Yes I know, sorry my bad. You are right, I'm not in the right place... But, none answers on x10 forums. I got Xperia X10i model that came with the original firmware which was officially updated to 2.3.3.
Sorry for replying here, but I opened up a thread there in which I explain everything detailed...

Tell me how you are using flashtool, like, which folder are you putting generic firmware.
It should be in the firmware folder.
If you have it in the right folder. What are the error messages saying in flashtool?
Do you know how to put the phone in flash mode for flashtool?
Which version of flashtool do you have?

could the reboots and apps crashing caused by battery?
I myself have same issue, regards battery i read somewhere a guy had a reboot, crash problem, he bought a 2500mA bat and claimed no more issues? So i think if battery over a two year age then maybe time for new, maybe somewhere these bats cnt handle the sudden power requirements required any longer, i have 4 bats, each oldr than 3 years at least. Anyone knw a place in za that one cd purchase a stronger amperage bat? I cd imagine a hardware issue, bt then why do so many work perfectly but some kp dn this? I have rd many complaints regards this phone. If it still is crashing i wdnt exactly call it anywhere near fixed? Bt im sitting with this prob, and im baffled, bt i still think a stronger batry wd be the 1st solution.

I guess "your ROM" still needs some work before you can release it
You are lucky some people here like to help others with less knowledge.
There are tons of threads teaching how to fix a "bricked" phone but instead of searching your problem you preferred making a thread and cry for help. I don't have a problem with that, people are here to help.. I just think you should be more humble.
I have an advice for you, don't take it the wrong way, i'm really trying to help you: don't release more "personal ROMs"
Take care
Next time you can try using google instead or the search tool on xda. Those will get you plenty of info on how to fix your phone.
Dear OP, if you didn't notice yet, Development forums are not meant for your Questions/help issue.
Next time, please, pay more attention, is the second thread from you that i'm closing, there will be not a third.
Hello everyone, i own a MT11i Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V.
Yesterday i received a notification to update from 4.0.A.0.42 to 4.0.A.0.46. I downloaded the update and i started the 4-step installation process. The 3 first steps proceeded fine but at the 4th step, the update stopped and the phone restarted.
I should mention that i had rooted my phone with UnlockRoot utility. After the unsuccessful update, i removed root with UnlockRoot again but the exact same thing happened.
If you need any more info please let me know. Thanks in advance!
Wrong Section,
did you try to install it using Sony Pc Companion ?
if so try Update using SEUS utility ..
http://dl-www.sonyericsson.com/cws/download/1/110/61/1309763183/Update_Service_Setup-2.11.7.13.exe
Oh, I am sorry i guess this should go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1277
Ill keep that in mind next time. Anyway, this actually worked my friend thank you so much! Can you think of an explanation for the issue? In any case your help is much appreciated.
you're welcome
I don't know, what's wrong with PC Companion, so many peoples are complaining the same issue about update, and its already forward to Sony complain centre, maybe they'll look at it in the next release,

And most of times yes those officals tools working too.
But they giving more errors too

Help...so here is the thing
So today i checked for updates via pc companion...i was on stock gb...
so i saw the 6.1.a.0.4.52 update to ics.....so i pressed update.........had the phone connected to pc,downloaded update and suddently it vibrated and it powerd off...pc companion said "checking phone".....ok then i was scared .....i could not power on my poor phone and then i presed power button + up button for 10 second and it vibrated thrice...so then i entered in flashmode and then it started downloading my update again!but it failed and told sth about internet connection...then i fixed internet connection......pressed try again tryied but the same thing(although i had internet conection) ...then pc companion forced closed and here am i....when powering on my phone i see sony logo and then i see a phone with a danger signal....when also connecting to pc companion it recognises it as a se phone what should i do????
PLEASE I DONT WANT TO LOSE MY love!!!
Try to flash in flashmode with Flashtool utility. It should work! I revived an Xperia S once with about the same problem (it even didn't charge properly anymore).
