Z4Root only works on certain devices (although it works on most Android 2.1 phones).
If you have a cheap overseas version of a tablet, you might have issues finding
ways to achieve and keep root access.

[Q] LG P990 Root problem

hello,
I want to upgrade my phone to android 4.1.2. My phone is rooted and I've installed a rom android 2.2.3 a year ago. But now my computer (more pc's tried) don't recognize my phone (LG P990 Android 2.2.3). LG driver is installed and I've tried many programs. Also my phone is suddenly unrooted (I test it with root checker) And I can't install a root access program. After that I installed 3 programs to my phone to root it again with Z4root, sparkyroot and unlockroot but non of them worked.
I don't know what to do now. maybe one of you?
Thanks,
Locogek

[Q] Unable to root this tablet

Hi everyone
I am still trying to root my Trio stealth g2 tablet. I need to update the OS on it to something newer that can use google play and the apps I have but first comes rooting probably.
Root with Restore by Bin4ry has been used, yet all it says is "please connect Device...", along with superoneclick but all it does is freeze up and stops responding every time.
I tried something called framaroot but it ended up being fake and started putting icons on my tablet so I am doing a factory reset.
Any help is appreciated. I have no idea what to do next.
Same thing when I tried it with my linux laptop, nothing happened
I got the bin4ry rooting process working with wine on Linux but it still says to connect a tablet by usb.
The tablet does show up now on the windows computer if I use a different cord. And I downloaded the driver from the adbdriverinstaller.exe but the rooting software still does not work.

Zopo ZP998 root doesn´t work | Vroot, towelroot

Hi all,
I have a Zopo ZP998 Octocore phone. Yesterday I flashed it to Android 4.4, the latest available version from the vendor.
Google told me 4.4 should be rootable easily with "towelroot" or "vroot". I tried both, nothing worked. Towelroot tells me the phone is not
supported and VROOT worked until to nearly end and tells me "unsuccessful". There is only the option to root by hand but
I didn´t do that.
I am sure I have done all correct. I installed the windows drivers under Win7 and the phone is recognized by the system and
also by the VROOT software. I turned on USB debugging and I also installed the APK part of the vroot on my phone.
Any ideas what I can do more? Root is not that important for me but I´d like to do it.

OK, I found out where the problem was. I had the wrong version of VROOT. You need the 1.7
After that all works perfect. Thank you.

How to root KitKat 4.4.2

I have bought this device from china:
http://www.chinavasion.com/china/wh..._CPU_2GB_RAM_13MP_Rear_Camera_16GB_ROM_Black/
Can you please help me root it.
I have a chinese generic 4.2.2 kitkat under the name foneso or allwinner and I rooted mine by loading the free version of pdanet on my laptop, which then loaded the corresponding files on the tablet when it asked me to connect it via usb (you could use bluetooth too I think) and then with that connection live I used the kingo software which is free and runs on your laptop as well. kingo by itself works for a lot of people but it wouldn't recongnize my device as connected until I had pdanet running. Don't forget to have your tablet in debug mode...

Is Acer A1-811 impossible to root myself?

I own Acer A1-811 that I've been trying to root for a few days. Android version 4.2.2, Build Acer_AV052_A1-811_1.095.00_EMEA_PKT, Kernel 3.4.5. It's a branded version by a Polish mobile provider. I'm pretty sure I've tried EVERYTHING except KingRoot that I will try after charging my device.
KingoRoot
Root Master (also called vRoot?)
Framaroot
Acer Iconia Toolkit (I ran it from Windows 7 x64 though. Do I need to use Ubuntu or something?)
I've been considering coughing up 40$ for OneClickRoot, is there anything else I can do?
