I've seen many posts about flashing this Hulu + Flash 10.3 apk but my issue is I downloaded an otherwise awesome ROM (Thunderstick GenII) and it comes preloaded with the Hulu app. To my dismay my device is not supported. I've tried reverting the old ad files with adfree but still no dice. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Flashed to Evil Fascination ver 3.6.0 (previously on EF 3.4.2), all went well, except Amazon Kindle app (v3.0.1.70) force closes when flipping an e-book page.
So far, the system and all other apps function great.
I had tried restoring the Kindle from a Titanium backup as well as uninstalling/re-installing from Android Market. I had also tried clearing the Kindle app cache. I had tried storing Kindle on the phone and on SD card. Still force closes on page flip.
If it matters, I had also flashed: Backup Assistant, Black Google Apps, Adryns fast media scanner hack, and Honeycomb theme. And switching between the included launcher and LG launcher didn't make a difference.
The same Kindle version worked great before, on EF 3.4.2.
The only other thread on the site that's remotely useful is this:
Honeycomb Kindle App FCs
But that's an issue reported on an actual Honeycomb device (though I will try the linked apk next, Kindle 2.0.4).
Ideas?
By the way, Evil Fascination ROM is simply awesome! Kudos to Nitro, Adryn, et al.
You said you wiped app cache, did you also wipe data?
Sent from my Froyo'd Evil Fascinate full of PB&J
Yes; wiped data/factory reset prior to EF flash, as well as clear data+cache for Kindle.
Tried:
- Kindle 3.0.0.56 - same FC
- Kindle 2.0.4.x - works fine, no FC
So, I have a (temporary) solution for now. The old Kindle version serves my purpose.
For anyone else interested, the Kindle 2.0.4 apk is available (linked) on the thread I referenced earlier.

I'm having the same problem as you. But I'm running COM 2.0 and I've never had this issue with 1.3. I know of one other person who has this issue as well. They recently posted on the COM thread. Also the older version you stated works fine for me as well.

I'm having the same issue with the market version of the Kindle app on ComRom 2.0. Turning the page results in a force close. Thanks for pointing us to an older version...hopefully someone figures out what's causing this.
+1
I upgraded from Evil Fascination 3.4.1 to 3.6 and started having this. Kindle FCs when I turn the page. Thinking it was the Rom, I chanced to Com Rom 2.0 and it still occurs. I did clear all data and caches in between the Rom changes.
I am using CwR 2.5, not sure if that matters. I know at least Com Rom is an edify script.
Probably a good idea to post into the threads for those Roms.
confirm this is an issue on ComRom 2.0 as well.
Coming from ComRom 1.3 with ED01 radio, wiped Data and davlik, flashed comrom 2.0, tried both pbj-50 and otb 1.5 versions, Kindle FC's on page turn on both.
There are a couple of folk also reporting the same issue with Kindle in the "[Rom]{6.5.11}[ED01] ComRom 2.0 (ukb) *added a few patches" thread, about post number 373. Like this user, I also have the ReaderTextSelectionMode missing error.
Here is the dumpstate_app_error.log from my Kindle FC.
I'm new to XDA so it won't let me post in Dev forums, otherwise I would also post in the Rom threads.
I can confirm that the FC on page change still occurs with Kindle version 3.0.1.70 on Evil Fascination v3.6.0.
Thanks so much for pointing us to older versions of Kindle!
ComRom 2.1 fixes this problem. I am now running the latest Kindle app and it does not FC.

I'm running ComRom 2.1, and I still have the issue with the latest Kindle app.
Edit: I reapplied the update and it worked. Thanks!
Applied ComRom patch 2.1 and then let market update Kindle. It's now working correctly for me.

Well I had Hulu with the perm/temp root, but now after rooting and getting S-OFF, Hulu no longer works. ANy ideas?
I guess I was the only one who used Hulu..too bad for me
Well did you go to the thread??? Hulu does work. Coffeehandle has a thread on it and posted the lib.so files as well along with the modified apk. I'm full rooted with s-off,eng-boot loader and over clocked with custom kernel with twrp 1.0.3 and hulu plays fine threw the stock web browser.

flash10.3.186.6 Hulified.apk
I spent hours looking for the answer to permanent fix to hulu problem. I have permanent root and finally I found the answet in:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1243556
1. I used titanium backup to uninstall flash player
2. I used the apk from the post above ( http://www.mediafire.com/?9zp8695i5juvs81 ) to install flash player 10.3.186.6 with hulu mod which allows you to pretend to be on windows machine
3. In browser I set it to desktop mode
I am watching hulu again on my Evo 3D,
I have Vegan-tab gingerbread 7.0RC1 pershoot bl1.2.
Flash no longer shows up on my installed apps. When i search for it, It says it is not compatible for my device, google maps does the same thing too. Does anyone else have this problem too. I just noticed it last week.

Yeah, that was the only problem I had with that ROM. It seemed to always happen for me when the tablet would hard freeze and I had to reboot. Once it boots back up, anytime I access the Market, everything was not compatible with GTab.
I never found a solution other than returning to HC. It was a good ROM and that was the only prob I had with it.
Does [BL1.2]VEGAn-TAB GingerEdition v7.1.0 solve this issue?
Yes, it is much better running Vending 3.1.3.
If you have superuser rights, use AntTek App Manager to backup flash, than delete it from system (even sys application version), the Hulufied version from ASOP Ginger posts. You might need to install, update from market, remove, and install Hulufied version to stick.
Just download it on the PC..then hook up your GTab to the PC...drag the Flash 10.3 (Yes that one will work) into the storage on the device. Then download it from there.
All the apps (And there was ALOT) that shows up Non Compatible with your device in the Market...will actually work if you do it that way.
Thank you for all the responses. I went for the upgrade option to Vegantab 7.1. I am very pleased.
it seems that Flash, for me, is malfunctioning. If I enter just any website which has flash content, it always tells me I need Flash Player to view that content. I know Adobe said they'd drop the android support, but it was my understanding that Samsung still would include Flash in their Jellybean update? I even tried installing a Flash apk I know works, but neither the stock web browser nor Chrome picks it up.
Chrome does not pick it up since it's unable of using extensions.
Are you sure you included a complete APK (best results are from ones exported from ICS-phone)
Try an APK from this forum, you should find several uploaders.
Flash works flawlessly on stock Browser in Jelly Bean
IIRC, the .apk I've been using came from the Nexus 7 forums and was said to work witg Jellybean. I'll scout the themes and apps section and see if there's one which works.
EDIT: By the way, does it matter if the .apk is installed as a user app or system app?
Not sure if this has been done before, I did a search but couldn't find anything.
I have 2 NT, one with stocked 1.4.3 rooted and one flashed with Pac-Man acclaimed 10.1
I pulled the HULU apk from the NT with 1.4.3 and installed it on the Pac-Man one and it worked w/o issue so far. The hulu on the stocked NT is updated to latest market version before extraction. One thing though, once installed on the 2nd NT, market will show an update for hulu, dont update and uncheck auto update else you will get drm error.
