why need to send your phone to LG service centre ??
is it due to the volume key problem as you mention before ??
your phone now should be not rooted, to ensure it try install gingerbreak apk and c whether got unroot option to let you choose or not, if not then means successfully your phone not rooted
good luck

yes i have some issues with power key as well, when i hold it and w8 for power menu to appear.....sometimes it gets into sleep mode just after power menu appears ,sometimes it gets into sleep mode only etc etc
well i have decided to wait for some time and m gonna flash open optimus again and will go to service center after a month when this problem gets more severe...
if i will go now they will not gonna repair it
so better to use it as it is and wait for sometime
btw u r from delhi?

that issue is not a major one,u can hardly notice it(in my case) so i think it would be a bit difficult to tell them exactly what the problem is,so i will go there after a month or so when this problem will become more severe
and i haven't flashed gb yet...
i flashed froyo but there was no gb update there via lg tool after flashing froyo,so i decided to go back to open optimus

If you have a backup then you can restore it to get back to stock(obv). And it is recommended you unroot before taking it to warranty services. Some may allow it, others may not.

help! my mini pro stucked on sony ericsson logo

hey guys, this is my first time i would say i bricked my phone. i need someone to help me my phone has been in 'coma' for nearly 2 days now.
so this happened when i try to apply this mod http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1306044 and after i carelessly copied framework-res.apk to system/framework using root explorer without setting the correct permissions, my phone automatically shuts off and try to restart but it failed, it stucked on the big sony ericsson logo and 'sony ericsson' text.
i have pull out the battery hundred times and try to reboot my phone normally but it didnt worked it still stucked on the sony ericsson logo.
so can anyone help me please...
what tools/application should i get to fix this?
first of all, i dont want to wipe/lose/factory reset my phone memory data because that would make my phone contacts gone which i never ever want to happen. so please is it possible to backup my contacts somewhere else if wiping is the answer at least??
okay i took a lot of time to type this and hoping someone give me an answer

Congratulations, you have felt the power of customizing Android for the first
Actually, one way to fix this now, is to get back to fully stock firmware.
The second way would be to unlock bootloader, install a custom kernel, enter recovery and use Fix Permissions option. Unfortunately, not all Recoveries have this, only some versions of ClockworkMod Recovery. I have used many kernels on my LWW and only some of these included this option and I can't remember which one had, which not.

If contacts is too important for you and you have no backups, then go for the 2nd way - Unlock bootloader and install a custom kernel, which offers the Fix Permissions option.
I will check the Update Service, if Repair option will erase user data or not, currently updating my phone.
EDIT: Yes, removes all data.

Yep, you're correct, Flashtool has option to not wipe user data.

Once you have phone fully booted I suggest to install CWM recovery mode (you probably don't have it now) - CWM installation file - run install-cwm1.cmd and follow the onscreen instructions. Actually, i think you could've salvaged your phone without the need of flashing it... If you had access to CWM, you could've put framework file into zip file and flash it with CWM. It helped me once when i got stuck in bootloop after failed installation of a mod

its very easy to recover your phone if you got bootloop or stuck at sony ericsson logo. dont sweat.
first of all you need a stock .ftf firmware downloaded. any .ftf stock firmware .58/62/42 or whatever as long as it is stock.
then download and install flashtool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1351309
then put your downloaded .ftf firmware at c:/program files/flashtool/firmwares/"your downloaded .ftf firmware"
then open flashtool and click on the lightning icon. and choose flashmode.
then press volume down button, while you do that connect your phone to pc using usb then flash the firmwares. then boom your phone back to life

first of all you need a stock .ftf firmware downloaded. any .ftf stock firmware .58/62/42 or whatever as long as it is stock.
then download and install flashtool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1351309
then put your downloaded .ftf firmware at c:/program files/flashtool/firmwares/"your downloaded .ftf firmware"
then open flashtool and click on the lightning icon. and choose flashmode.
then press volume down button, while you do that connect your phone to pc using usb then flash the firmwares. then boom your phone back to life

Did this work for anyone else.....?? @Sanjuujosephh u tried...?
Nah..... I won't take the Risk... .
Actually I'm starting to like this j2 update!!!
Seriously Bro there's no way u can stop Knox from triggering even if by luck this works.... U will have to either stay in a custom rom or Nh6...... So it's better to stay in j2....bcuz I'm in a month or so we might get a small update
