So I updated to the newest OTA and rooted my phone, which worked perfectly. I then downloaded ClockworkMod and flashed their recovery. Now my phone will not boot into recovery. What I would like to do it restore my phone to the original recovery? Does anyone know how to do this?
To get your stock recovery you need to flash a ruu and that will get you back to stock recovery and ROM

So I updated all radios and firmware. However no matter what ROM I use that uses the HTC base 2.17 it says no signal and phone process stops responding. It's always about 3 hours into the ROM it happens. I came from a warm ROM and a virus ROM with the same results. I have hboot 1.4 s-off.

Have you tried flashing the kernel only after the ROM?

Fix permissions from Rom Manager or the advanced option in CWM and reboot.
If that doesn't help, it's just a bad flash. Don't fret. Do an RUU and re-update the radio. There is no point in updating the firmware because when you flash a new ROM, you're replacing it. Then you can go ahead and S-OFF, root, flash a custom recovery, flash a ROM and kernel, etc.

I'm rooted and s off. I would like to flash the latest ics firmware from nils thread. My question is if I flash the .img in bootloader will I have to reinstall ra recovery again or will the s off and recovery stay the same?
Thanks

If you update your firmware...and just so we're clear...using the newest RUU then yes you will have a fresh phone...and you will need to reinstall recovery. You will still be s-off.

Hello all.
I am wanting to install a rooted 4.3 rom over top of my CM11 nightly. I just can't stand the bugs anymore. Is there anything I have to do besides flash the zip in cwm recovery and flash the firmware using Odin? And confirm this will not mess with my bootloader (ie lock it down)
Thanks a million!

i think it wont mess your bootloader, unless you take 4.3 directly from verizon OTA.
Done it a few times already. Flash away
Does anybody has the copy of Stock Recovery img file for Htc One AT&T?
I'm trying to find it too, one that I can flash using only the phone, through bootloader or TWRP. I downloaded the 4.4 OTA, but forgot that I need to flash back to the stock recovery.

i got the recovery file from the OTA file. Updated the rom after reflashing stock recovery.
Thanks for the link though
Is there anyway to run the update from Verizon on TWRP? Every time it tries to update it reboots into the custom recovery. I know the file for the update is on the phone. Does anybody have the name of it or how to run it?

If you want to take the OTA you need to revert back to stock recovery.
There is a ROM that is pretty much the same as the 4.4.2 OTA in the development section that can be flashed via TWRP
Hey if you want PM me and I'll help you revert back to stock with keeping your root and updating to KitKat and getting your recovery back. There is no way at all to use the Verizon OTA with a custom recovery.. It is rebooting to TWRP because by default when flashing the OTA it is meant to boot to your stock recovery which is designed to flash carrier updates. When it hits TWRP it fails because it sees that its not the stock recovery. You need to either fastboot back the stock recovery which is in Flyhalfs recovery thread or you need to RUU.. But in any event I'm here if you want some solid help and I can get it done quickly for you...
