i got a dell streak 5 running simple streak 1.2 ROM.
my question is about openvpn "fatal error:cannot allocate tap/tun devs dynamically"
openvpn installer - installed
busybox - installed
openvpn settings - installed
i tried sir gpmg762 TUN.KO and i still have the same error...
when i tried using VpnServices.apk in Terminal emulator (netomx tut)
entering the line chmod /system/app/VpnServices.apk 0644
(Bad Mode) this is what i get.
i followed the code perfectly,but still the same error when connecting to openvpn.
a little help please.....i love this phone,i want to use the whole capabilities of this beast.

Did you installed a custom kernel? If you use the Simple Streak v1.3 testing 4, it works out of the box. If you changed your kernel, please send your config.gz (in the /proc/ folder) and send it to the user "gpmg762" without quotes. Specify him that you need a custom tun.ko for your kernel. That's all

Nope,m the tun.ko are kernel-specific. Try sending the config.gz to the user I told you, and he will compile it for you

You cant browse? Are you trying with WiFi? try disabling WiFi first.
Yes, remember, this is kernel-specific. Ask gpmg762 for a kernel-specific tun.ko

My ROM has Superuser included......
yes you can run the old SU but make sure you do the switch right, it should be in the description on how to do it so you dont "unroot" yourself

according to jrummy you can have both SU and SUperuser installed but only 1 should be handling the persmissions. if you want the old SU uninstall the binaries from the new SUperuser app and then install the binaries on the old one. and vice versa

I loved the drop down toggles on Epsilon rom and I was wondering if any dev by any chance could make one for stock GSM razr ics? That would be awesome because the you cant get rid of the notification icon on the apps that is in the market. I would really appreciate that and I hope it's not that big of a problem. A recovery zip that is compatible with bootmenu 0.2.7(the latest version on market) and something in the style of the epsilon rom clean and goes with motoblur stock? http://miralaonline.net/images/7g2av.png

i don't know if it will work, i never tried, it's a little bit complicated to make it working, if you never mod APK it's hard to do it.
oh OK I'll check if I am de-odex or not but I hope this thread can stay here so maybe someone can make flashable zip for official ICS releases:good:

I make flashable zip that i already test my tweaks my self.. And this zip just force GPU rendering for smooth when using or playing games.... And i include a init.d enabler plus init.d script by me for boost gpu performance i test and asphalt 8 and its SMOOOOTHHHHH.. And if you want to tryy just Flash but... ALWAYS HAVE NANDROID BACKUP!!

​U already have a fast and performing fone..hence u wont feel much diiff...

To install Busybox, copy it (the busybox binary) to /system/bin and to /system/xbin, then symlink.
I already had BusyBox installed, but using the apk installer instead, would this be the problem?

Your on latest update.. So your lag has been fixed.. This for they that usr balliboxer kitkat rom.. Or H3 rom..that has lag bug ... This will remove it..
